Brewers vs. Cubs Predictions

Yesterday I correctly picked the Cubs to win Game 3 and extend the series, but with Freddy Peralta slated to pitch against Matthew Boyd, how do I feel? Let’s jump into the matchup for this potential elimination game tonight!

Freddy Peralta is a tough pitcher to win against, and over his last 11 starts, he’s only been tabbed with a loss in one game! Most of that is due to the fact that he’s been difficult to hit as during that time span back to early August, he’s given up just 32 hits over 56.2.2 innings and has 79 strikeouts as well! Hard to see a Cubs team that is striking out 32% of the time in the postseason, which is the highest mark of any team, giving the Brewers ace a hard time.

The Brewers on the offensive side are no slouches either, with a team BABIP of .346 so far in the series and a .175 isolated power mark. Lefty Cubs pitcher Matthew Boyd will have to navigate that group, and I don’t like his chances. He already has a 5.4 ERA in the postseason, and in September, his ERA was 5.31. He is allowing too many walks, and the strikeout numbers just haven’t been there with just 15 in his last 25.1 innings pitched.

Everything is coming up Brewers for this Game 4, so I like them to close the series tonight and win on the Money Line. It's on to the National League Championship series for them!
