MLB Postseason Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 10/19
We have just one game on the postseason schedule for our MLB Best Bets Today. This year’s ALCS has been filled with multiple momentum swings, unexpected results, and plenty of exciting offense. The Mariners won the first two games in Toronto, and then the Blue Jays took the next two in Seattle.Â
In Game 5, the Jays had a 2-1 lead in the eighth inning before Cal Raleigh tied it with a homer and Eugenio Suarez smacked a grand slam. Seattle now has the opportunity to clinch a spot in the World Series with a win in Game 6. Conversely, it’s win-or-go-home time for the Blue Jays at home. The momentum has swung to the Mariners’ side, and they have the starting pitching edge in Sunday’s game as well. Check out these MLB predictions as you enjoy Sunday’s playoff baseball.Â

Seattle Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays ALCS Game 6 Predictions: Sunday, October 19th
Logan Gilbert will get the start for Seattle. The right-hander has an impressive 2.45 ERA across his three postseason appearances so far. He was a bit shaky in his Game 2 outing, though, allowing 3 runs before getting pulled after 3 innings.Â
Despite that uninspiring start, Gilbert has the potential to right the ship in today’s outing. He had a 2.30 ERA over his final 5 starts of the regular season, and he’s mostly pitched well in the playoffs. Plus, he now has a 2.76 ERA over his past 6 road starts. That includes 6 strong innings on the road at Detroit in the ALDS.Â
Meanwhile, Trey Yesavage will get the ball for Toronto. The rookie has plenty of talent, but he wasn’t good in his ALCS Game 2 outing against the Mariners. Yesavage allowed 5 earned runs on 4 hits and 3 walks. He also began the game on a down note by giving up a 3-run homer to Julio Rodriguez in the first inning.Â
The Seattle hitters know how to attack the rookie, and it helps that they saw him already in this series. The fact that the Mariners also had success in that matchup is just a cherry on top. We could see a quick hook for Yesavage if he runs into trouble early in this must-win scenario.Â
On that note, the Toronto bullpen has a rough 6.57 ERA in the postseason so far. That includes a poor 6.88 ERA across 17 innings for the Jays’ relievers in this ALCS. On the flip side, the Seattle pen has a 3.86 ERA in the series and is more trusted behind Gilbert.Â
Let’s back the Mariners at plus-money to get the win and advance to the World Series. Grab the under on Yesavage’s outs prop as well. He could be out of the game before the end of the fourth inning if Seattle gets to him early.Â
Plus, let’s bet on Cal Raleigh to get walked at least once tonight. The Mariners’ star catcher is hitting .333 with a 1.127 OPS in the postseason, and he’s hit 3 home runs already in this series. Toronto should pitch around him whenever possible, and he’ll likely come up with a runner on at some point.Â
- Expert Mariners vs. Blue Jays Picks:
- Mariners Moneyline (+108 on FanDuel Sportsbook)
- Trey Yesavage Under 11.5 Outs (-105 on BetMGM Sportsbook)
- Cal Raleigh Over 0.5 Walks (-137 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
