MLB Best Bets for September 9

Baltimore Orioles at Boston Red Sox

The Orioles continue to be one of the best teams in the MLB as we ride into mid September and it doesn't look like they'll be slowing down any time soon! I say this because they are riding a 6 game win streak in which they have scored 47 runs during that span! Today they continue their series with the Red Sox and Chris Sale will be pitching and these days that's not a great thing for Boston. The Orioles hit lefties well and score well on the road with 5.47 runs per game, the 4th most in the MLB. That has me looking at their team total prop as the overall total of 10.5 is a little rich for my blood. The team total line is much more friendly at 4.5 runs and they should smash that number is a projected total of 5.35 runs in today's game. I want to also add a player prop here as Adley Rutchsman hits left handed pitching very well with an average of .303 and an OPS of .880! Time to go back to the bread and butter with him and the over on hits, runs and RBIs of 1.5!

Pick: Baltimore Orioles Team Total Over 4.5 Runs (-125 on PointsBet)

Pick: Adley Rutschman Over 1.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs (-135 on DraftKings)

St. Louis Cardinals at Cincinnati Reds

That's right I am going right back to betting on the Reds! Its a matchup between NL Central foes as the Cardinals travel to the Queen City trying to play spoiler for the Reds playoff dreams. This game is priced tightly on the Money Line and while I understand from an overhead view why as the Reds haven't been too good at home but they are still a better overall team. On the flip side the Cardinals are well under .500 on the road this season and have lost 6 of the last 9 games as the away side. I think the Reds at just +115 are a bit mispriced and their projected team total sits at 4.95 so I think they get the W today.

Pick: Cincinnati Reds Money Line (+115 on DraftKings)
