Welcome to the hump day edition of the MLB Best Bets! It has been a great couple of weeks on the article here as the season total bankroll continues to climb and the green is lining up the pockets. Hard to believe we only have a few more weeks of full MLB slate but fear not because that day is not here yet and I have a trio of bets to check out today. In the article you will find two Money Line wagers and a team total for today's action and if you agree with the rationale feel free to wet the beak! Good luck to everyone and enjoy the games!

MLB Best Bets for September 6

Baltimore Orioles at Los Angeles Angels

What a season it has been for the Orioles as they've gone from being projected a mid 70s win total in the preseason to chasing down an 100 win campaign! Much of the reason for the success has been their play on the road too where they have gone an impressive 45-25 and will look to keep things rolling on the west coast tonight against the Angels. Los Angeles is in a very different boat as they've failed massively and cut bait on a good chunk of their roster over the last several weeks. This has me wondering why the Orioles aren't favored by more given all the intangibles. The model has the O's projected at 5.18 total runs tonight and the Angels at 4.41 so that's a significant gap but its made bigger considering how well Baltimore can hit both right and left handed pitching and Patrick Sandoval will start for the Angels tonight. It may end up being tight early but the LA bullpen has been generous and Baltimore is teeing off on every team in seems like these days, Orioles Money Line for this one.

Pick: Baltimore Orioles Money Line (-135 on BetRivers)

Toronto Blue Jays at Oakland Athletics

Another matchup in the MLB Best Bets between a road team that's rolling through September so far against a home team that is just trying to get to the end of the season. September is crunch time and the Blue Jays have understood the assignment as the offense has now scored 40 runs over their last 5 games, all of which have been on the road and tonight they will look to continue piling on the scoring as they face Oakland. The implied total for the Blue Jays is just 4.51 tonight but according to the model Toronto is projected at a much larger number of 5.24! This is one of the higher projections on the slate so it has me looking at their team total runs for this game and as luck would have it the number is 4.5 runs. I imagine they crush this number seeing the run the offense has been on for the past week so let's dial up an over and watch the Blue Jays do their thing!

Pick: Toronto Blue Jays Team Total Over 4.5 Runs (-105 on DraftKings)

New York Mets at Washington Nationals

This is likely a matchup that no one in the baseball world will be watching unless you're a fan of either team but I see some value in this one tonight. The Mets are 29-41 on the road this season and have fallen off a cliff when it comes to scoring runs with just 4.41 per game on average. Now the Nationals aren't much better at 4.32 but their numbers have been better over the last couple weeks. Washington has been a scrappy underdog as well most of this 2nd half of the season as they are one of the top teams against the spread. It's taking a shot, I am aware of that but getting them at plus money at home against a team like the Mets isn't something I am going to be passing up. The pitching matchup between Jose Butto and Joan Adon should keep things interesting and higher scoring and I like that for the Nats Money Line today.

Pick: Washington Nationals Money Line (+105 on BetMGM)
