Happy Friday all around to the Fantasy Alarm crew out there heading into the weekend! It wasn't a long work week but hey you're here and that counts as enough. I have been giving some units back to the books the last week and that is frustrating me but in a season as long as baseball is you just have to ride the roller coaster that is sports wagering. Good chance to get back on the horse today though as all 30 MLB teams are in action and that means we don't need to look too far under the microscope to get some winners. In the writeup today is an team total runs wager, a batters player prop and of course an over on a game total! Hope everyone enjoys the weekend now let's get to it!

MLB Best Bets for July 7

Oakland Athletics at Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox are still fighting for their lives in the American League and are somehow last in their own division at 45-43 as things stand today. Luckily for them they are getting a visit for the Oakland Athletics who are a dismal 13-32 on the road this season. The Money Line is going to be too chalky for this game to bet outright though so I am looking at a team total run prop in this matchup. Boston has been one of the best offensive teams in the MLB at home this season scoring 5.51 runs per game and that has been against mostly the AL East so against the A's tonight I like their chances. Some sportsbooks have their line at 5.5 total runs too and sign me up on that. The implied run total is around 6.5 for them tonight so the line is just a bit too low and Boston will get to pick on Luis Medina who is starting for Oakland and has a massive 6.37 ERA and 1.64 WHIP. Let's not stop there though and tack on a player prop for tonight's game! I am looking right at Rafael Devers tonight who will be hitting 4th in this lineup that is primed to go big and while his prop line of hits, runs and RBIs is 2.5 I am willing to chase that at plus money. He is over in 3 of the last 6 games so let's lay some money down on him and see if he can have a big time game.

Pick: Boston Red Sox Team Total Over 5.5 Runs (-147 on BetRivers)

Pick: Rafael Devers Over 2.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs (+125 on DraftKings)

Toronto Blue Jays at Detroit Tigers

There has not been and will not be many games that I bet in favor of the Tigers to score runs but tonight is going to be one of those days. It's a special circumstance as Alek Manoah is set to start for the Blue Jays and he is having a terrible season to date with a 6.36 ERA and 1.90 WHIP! In his last start he recorded just 1 out while allowing 7 hits and 6 earned runs in the first inning, this kid is cooked right now so can the Tigers score 4-5 runs tonight, yes absolutely. On the other side with be Alex Faedo pitching for the Tigers and his coming in fresh off a 15-day IL stint. Faedo hasn't been good either this season sitting at a 5.54 ERA and will go against a Blue Jays offense that is starting to click as they have scored 25 runs over the last 5 games. The total runs is set at 9 on most sportsbooks and that's a fair number but I feel this one will see some runs so give me the over between the Blue Jays and Tigers tonight.

Pick: Toronto Blue Jays & Detroit Tigers Over 9 Runs (-115 on Caesars)

**all bets are one unit unless specifically mentioned.
