Happy Saturday to everyone out there in the sports betting space except Freddie Freeman who left me holding the bag last night! I guess Kyle Gibson gets some of the blame too but a guy hitting as hot as Freeman falling short was more disappointing. Either way its a new day and its a jam packed slate to wager on! In this article you will find a strikeout prop, Money Line and a team total to bet on so best of luck, lets make some money!

MLB Best Bets for August 12

Minnesota Twins at Philadelphia Phillies

I am not convinced in the slightest that the Twins are a good baseball team, they get blown out quite often and their offense is wildly inconsistent. Part of the reason they have been propped up is their starting pitching but even that is starting to fade, another reason is the amount this team strikes out. No team in the MLB has more strikeouts per game than the Twins at 10.29 times per game and they are higher over the last 3 games at 10.66 times per game. Enter Taijuan Walker the starting pitcher for the Phillies tonight who isn't always a big K guy but given the matchup I am betting on him to go over his line of 5.5 strikeouts. Walker is no stranger to topping this number either as he has done it in 9 starts this season so let's grab that over.

Pick: Taijuan Walker Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-105 on Points Bet)

Milwaukee Brewers at Chicago White Sox

The Brewers just keep treading water in the NL Central and that's okay for this time of year with other teams folding behind them, aka the Reds! They came back in dramatic fashion last night against the White Sox and they are in a good spot tonight as well. Brandon Woodruff will get the nod and with his 1.65 ERA going against a White Sox offense that has struggled overall it should be smooth sailing for the Brew Crew. You'll need to eat some chalk at -160 or in that neighborhood but considering the matchups and trends its a solid bet.

Pick: Milwaukee Brewers Money Line (-160 on BetMGM)

Colorado Rockies at Los Angeles Dodgers

I am still a little bitter that the Dodgers denied me some winning bets last night but when the matchup continues to be favorable you should go right back at it! The Dodgers have an implied run total of 6.18 and a projected total of around 6 as well in the model so the team total is immediately appealing. It's backed by the fact that the Rockies are going with an opener tonight and then leaving it up to a bottom tier bullpen against one of the best offenses in the league. Dodgers scored 6 runs yesterday I see the same or more in this game this evening.

Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers Over 5.5 Team Total Runs (-105 on BetRivers)
