He's on a normal five days of rest, and his career mark against the Cubs sits at a 4.12 ERA with 18 strikeouts across three starts and 19.2 innings. Chicago strikes out against lefties at a modest 21.9% clip, but a pitcher operating at a 31.0% strikeout rate with this much motivation for a first impression doesn't need much help from the matchup. Logan Henderson Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+110)

Opponents are hitting just .195 against Henderson this season, and his 32.0% strikeout rate and 11.1 K/9 rank among the best marks in the league through his first nine big-league starts of 2026, backing a 5-1 record and 2.66 ERA. His last time out was another gem, seven strikeouts over 5.2 scoreless innings in a win at San Francisco, continuing a run where he's now 8-1 for his career. Sean Manaea vs Cleveland Guardians

Manaea's 2026 has been a mess of a season, a 2-5 record and 4.42 ERA over fewer than 80 innings while bouncing between the rotation and bullpen, though the underlying stuff has held up decently, an 8.6 K/9 and 21.9% strikeout rate that nearly match tonight's opponent, Joey Cantillo. His recent form has actually improved, two straight quality starts after a rough four-run outing in 4.2 innings against the Phillies, but a 1.34 WHIP still means plenty of traffic and short-outing risk. Tonight he faces Cleveland, and the Guardians strike out against lefties at just 22.8% this season while owning a strong 22-16 record against left-handed pitching, one of the better marks in baseball. A shaky-command lefty who could easily get pulled early, facing a lineup that has specifically handled southpaws well all year, is not a total worth chasing. Leave it alone.
