Favorite Bets: 

CJ Abrams, Washington Nationals (+332) – Squaring up against AJ Smith-Shawver is a nice place to be today for Abrams, who is posting a .388 wOBA with 22 stolen bases against right-handed pitching. Braves catcher Drake Baldwin has been one of the absolute worst at throwing out baserunners, posting just a nine-percent caught-stealing rate over 34 attempts this season. If the Nats want to win this one, they need to be aggressive, so we’ll bet it.

Longshot: 

Carson Benge, New York Mets (+890) – Benge is about to shake off last night’s three-strikeout game to deliver us a prime longshot stolen base pick today. He’s actually hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, and yes, he does have a stolen base in that span as well. Middle of the order doesn’t afford him huge opportunities, but his .337 wOBA and 14 stolen bases against right-handed pitching have me intrigued. It also helps that the Mets have a lefty on the mound, which means we’ll see Nick Fortes and his below-average 20-percent caught-stealing rate over 70 attempts instead of Liam Hicks. We like that!
