No dice for us last night - we did hit two legs of the HR parlay - but ultimately, we need to get back to winning slips. Coors Field is back on the board, and so is the Brewers vs. Athletics matchup in Las Vegas, which are two of the most interesting environments on Wednesday's card for the best MLB home run picks. Beyond that, the Astros vs. Angels matchup closes the night on the West Coast, and even earlier is an interesting Reds vs. Padres clash. It all means plenty of fly-ball-tendency angles to break down for our best MLB home run predictions today.

🔥 Best Matchups for Home Runs Today, 6/10: Ballpark Factors & Weather Impact

When it comes to our best MLB home run picks for today, our MLB weather report is always the first stop before any pick is locked in. Beyond that, we want to dive into HR/FB ratios of starting pitchers, bullpen numbers, barrel rates, hard-hit rates, and lefty/righty splits. Here's how we came up with our top MLB home run predictions for today:

Brent Rooker (+285)

So you’re telling us that it’s been home runs galore in Las Vegas and Kyle Schwarber in Toronto has odds in the +100s, but the Brewers vs. Athletics guys don’t? That seems crazy, so we absolutely have to start in the desert. You already know that Shea Langeliers is going yard after not doing so last night, but we know that multiple MLB home run picks can cash in Vegas.

With the Brewers starting Brandon Sproat, we’re going to stick with the A’s lineup after five different guys homered for them last night. It’s not the name most fans will be circling, but we actually love Rooker in this spot. The key is that he’s a remarkable hitter vs. cutters (.667 in this year’s very small sample size, but also .391 across all of last season).

Along with Sproat’s high average 4-seamer velocities, we’re leading off our best MLB home run picks for today with Brent Rooker to hit a HR (+285 at FanDuel).

Yordan Alvarez (+313)

Speaking of odds that we weren’t expecting to see, we weren’t expecting to see Yordan Alvarez in the +300s. He’s coming off a solid two-hit night and is looking to catch the aforementioned Kyle Schwarber for the HR lead - he’s at 22 right now. The key for this part of our top MLB home run picks today is the lefty vs. lefty matchup.

It’s what Yordan is known for, and the Angels are starting Reid Detmers. As a division rival, he’s already more than familiar with LA relievers as well, and their bullpen has been dreadful. To be clear, Detmers is far from awful, but this is about trusting an elite hitter. Last year, Alvarez hit a whopping .545 vs. slides (what Detmers loves throwing to lefties) and is hitting .333 against such pitches so far this year.

Whether it happens in the first or against the ‘pen, we’re adding to our best MLB home run picks for today with Yordan Alvarez to hit a HR (+313 at Novig).

Shohei Ohtani (+335)

Yes, this is yet another extremely chalk pick - well, kind of. It’s the chalkiest of all names that we could target, but it’s far from the chalkiest odds on the board. Anytime we can get Ohtani at this price, we’re not passing it up. It’s only fitting for the generational talent to homer while starting on the mound (again) to help us cash our MLB home run picks.

On the mound opposite him is Pittsburgh Pirates righty Jared Jones. After seeing Paul Skenes last night, he’s yet another flamethrower, but we all know that that means - high exit velocities. While he does like to throw in some curveballs and change-ups to lefties, we have no qualms with that when Ohtani is at the plate.

A leadoff homer into striking out the side will be the big story tomorrow (after the NBA Finals highlights), so we’re adding to our best MLB home run picks for today with Shohei Ohtani to hit a HR (+335 at Caesars).

🚀 Longshot Home Run Picks Today

With the locations we’ve discussed making longshot value more difficult to find, we’ve got a full, all-day slate to check out. That said, let’s see what made the cut for our best MLB home run longshot pick for today:

Getting a longshot price for ANY hitter in Las Vegas feels criminal. We saw a homer hit with just a 94.6 mph exit velocity in the series opener, so literally anyone can hit a round-tripper here. Let’s roll with the lefty that has a great sweet spot % to lock in our best MLB home run longshot pick for today!
