(-1100) Victory Five v TT Gaming (+600)

(-350) Bilibili Gaming v Ultra Prime (+250)

Sunday was an absolutely ridiculous day in LPL play. Each of the three dogs (including the second-worst team in the LPL beating the second-best team in the LPL) won. Those days can feel frustrating but note that these weird days happen in all sports. Our law of averages will mean we will also see all favorites winning on other days. Monday only has two matches for us to choose from and both come from the LPL. Victory Five can lock in a guaranteed first overall for the Spring Split with a win over TT Gaming, which is the ideal setup for them. Our other matchup is between two teams fighting at the bottom of the playoff cut off and both have the opportunity to either make or miss the playoffs in their last three series ahead of them. Let’s dive in!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Series #1: Victory Five v TT Gaming

Game Breakdown: ThunderTalk Gaming has won 9 total games across their 14 series played in Spring. They have 2 series wins and they haven’t won one of those series since February 27th. Victory Five will have no business losing this series. The quality of the LPL as a whole has not been consistent, as Sunday proved to us, Victory Five is operating on another level right now. Photic is the stat recipient of the late game fights but so much work gets done through their jungle/mid duo of Rookie and Karsa. In the times that Karsa is in other lanes, Ucal will need to utilize his tendencies to roam to get his weaker sidelines ahead. This is really the only path for TT to pick up any success in this series.

Favorite Picks: Photic (V5: $11,700/$7,800), Rookie (V5: $11,100/$7,400), Karsa (V5: $7,000), Victory Five ($5,400)

Value Picks: Ucal (TT: $6,200)

Cann’s Match Pick:  Victory Five (2-0)

Series #2: Bilibili Gaming v Ultra Prime

Game Breakdown: As you can see, I think this is a prime spot for an upset. BLG is currently on a 4 game losing streak and they are now actively swapping between Uzi and Doggo in the ADC. It feels so unpredictable now that I would advise anyone to fade either of the bottom laners and definitely stay away from locking them in as your captain. FoFo has had to do a lot of heavy lifting during the fluctuation of lineups, picking up 118 kills and 246 assists in his 39 games played. Cryin, UP mid laner, will be a difference maker here. If he can limit the impact of FoFo, you could easily see BLG run out of gas. Uzi and Doggo have both shown that they do not transfer their gold leads into team victories so it has to be up to FoFo to guide this team in late-game team fights. UP has the skill to muddy up this series and force BLG to play a less structured game.

Favorite Picks: Uzi (BLG: $7,400), Doggo (BLG: $7,200), Weiwei (BLG: $6,800), Crisp (BLG: $5,600)

Value Picks: Elk (UP: $/$7,200), ShiauC (UP: $5,200), Ultra Prime ($4,600), Cryin (BLG: $6,600)

Cann’s Match Pick: Ultra Prime (2-1)
