(-1200) T1 Esports v KT Rolster (+650)
(-700) Victory Five v Ultra Prime (+425)
(+130) Oh My God v Rare Atom (-170)
(EVEN) Top Esports v LNG Esports (-135)
Another Sunday with huge matchups in the LCK and LPL. KT Rolster has to push through the top of the table to keep their playoff hopes alive and Liiv SANDBOX has the 4th ranked DRX standing in ther way in their attempt to close the distance between themselves and 6th place. The LPL has all but one of their six teams playing who are currently outside the playoff picture. Ultra Prime, that lone team outside the top 10, are only two games back in that playoff picture so we could see them make a final push into that last playoff spot. Let’s dive in!
Fantasy Value Breakdown
Series #1: Liiv SANDBOX v DRX
Series Breakdown: This should end up pretty one sided when all is said and done. DRX has found ways to win series that I have doubted them in and they have done it with a slower playstyle. DRX will grind out a game and pick up each objective methodically and LSB just doesn’t have the player skill to force them out of that playstyle. DRX will force a ton of resources through the bottom lane so look to pick up a combination of their ADC, support, and jungler if you are looking to make a stack from this match. Deft has a 65.1 FPPG average and 116 kills in Spring. The closest ADC from LSB (yes there are multiple) is Ice with 65 kills in 26 games played, which is extremely uninspiring in comparison.
Favorite Picks: Deft (DRX: $11,400/), Pyosik (DRX: $6,600), BeryL (DRX: $5,800)
Value Picks: Croco (LSB: $5,800)
Cann’s Pick: DRX (2-0)
Series #2: T1 Esports v KT Rolster
Series Breakdown: The fireworks will be in the bottom lane with this matchup. Gumayusi is the LCK kill leader with 157 kills with Aiming at fourth and 35 kills less. Faker, the T1 mid laner, should be able to control Keria and prevent him from roaming. This will mean the skill matchup of Oner versus Cuzz should end up being the determining factor in how the bottom lane plays out. Oner and Gumayusi should be high priority pick ups for you but picking any of the T1 players as they fit into your lineup should be a safe bet.
Favorite Picks: Gumayusi (T1: $11,700/7,800), Oner (T1: 10,800/$7,200), T1 ($5,800)
Value Picks: Aiming (KT: $6,400)
Cann’s Pick: T1 Esports
Series #3: Victory Five v Ultra Prime
Series Breakdown: Victory Five is the T1 of the LPL. They have only lost one series all year and they look absolutely dominant. Their key carry players (Photic and Rookie) are averaging 90.0 and 85.6 FPPG respectively. The pricetag for these players are warranted and we have seen them perform on a series in and series out basis. Ultra Prime has felt all year like they should be better than they are. Players like Cryin and Elk should have the ability to push this team to a much better position than they are. We find the issue with UP is their lack of game understanding. They get worked around the map and get outrotated constantly. Karsa is going to have a field day with this team.
Favorite Picks: Photic (V5: $12,000/$8,000), Karsa (V5: $7,400), Rookie (V5: $11,700/$7,800)
Value Picks: Elk (UP: $9,900/$6,600)
Cann’s Pick: Victory Five (2-0)
Series #4: Oh My God v Rare Atom
Series Breakdown: This should be one of the closer matches on the slate and a place where you can save some cash by falling on the right side of the matchup. RA has more consistent carries with Strive being a great constant place to find points. OMG on the other hand has much higher ceilings in terms of production but we don’t always see that come out. In the end, standard play and a dedicated playstyle usually ends up being a more steady way to pick up wins so Rare Atom should grab a close win here.
Favorite Picks: Strive (RA: $10,800/$7,200) Creme (OMG: $9,900/$6,600)
Value Picks: AKi (OMG: $6,000)
Cann’s Pick: Rare Atom (2-1)
Series #5: Top Esports v LNG Esports
Series Breakdown: This has the makings to be the most explosive matchup on the slate. We see these two teams to be heavy in the fighting approach to the game. Some of the biggest names are in this matchup with Boinb, Light, and JackeyLove squaring off. I think the big X-Factor here will actually be in the top lane with Ale. Ale has 87 kills and 126 assists in only 29 games played. He is aggressive in lane but will rotate to teamfights when needed. I think this is a place to watch as TES has a rotating cast of top laners which is not normally a good sign when picking up wins against other good teams.
Favorite Picks: Light (NLG: $11,100/$7,400), Tarzan (LNG: $6,800), Knight (TES: $6,800)
Value Picks: TOP Esports ($4,600), JackeyLove (TES: $10,500/$7,000)
Cann’s Pick: LNG Esports (2-1)
