With the dawn of a new split, players have the ability to redefine themselves and chart out a new course. We saw this in the matches played on Friday, with each series going the full three-game sets. While the favorites won each of their respective series, the dogs made it very interesting. This should be what you expect out of Saturday’s matches as well, close series with explosive finishes. Game Breakdown: I think this is an easy game to pick up some cheaper players without being punished too much. You have two teams who have had some chaotic splits with lackluster stretches of time. To the credit of Rare Atom, they did make the Spring playoffs in 2022. They finished the regular season strong and was also helped by having some weaker opponents down the final stretch. The core of this team’s success has to be in their mid laner (Strive) and their top laner (Cube). These solo laners will have to carry the brunt of the heavy lifting in this matchup. AL’s biggest strength is their bottom lane combo of Betty and QuiQui. Expect a heavy investment of focus by them into this lane which should unlock the solo laners to be more aggressive in their play.

This will be a volatile series and it is really difficult to pick a winner here. Both teams have really quality pieces but have struggled with smart macro play in the late game. Whichever team made the biggest strides here over the mid-season break will be the winner.
