We have finally made it to the LPL finals! A rematch between Royal Never Give Up and TOP Esports is on the slate for Saturday and there couldn’t be more excitement surrounding the match. Royal Never Give Up handled TES easily in their first series, winning 3-1 and having huge performances out of their carries in multiple matches. TES is coming into the match off of an equally impressive series win over Victory Five and has a lot of momentum coming into this match. This is a clash between a resurging LPL in TOP Esports and the new league standard for excellence in Royal Never Give Up, should be one of the best Split Finals in recent memory. Let’s Dive In!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

RNG’s Captain

Favorite: GALA ($16,200) While Gala admittedly is not as explosive as he was in 2021, the ADC role is just too strong right now. In Fantasy Esports, the value of the kill participation and creep score (both metrics that ADCs get in high numbers) can carry lobbies and you don’t see it in the score lines. Gala has the highest FPPG for RNG (86.0) and we saw in the last RNG/TES series that the RNG bottom lane was able to handle JackeyLove. Gala will look to scale through the mid-game and carry the damage in those impactful late-game objective fights. We see this in his champion picks like Aphelios and Jinx, both of who look to turn up the aggression after they get a few items in their inventory.

Value Pick: Xiaohu ($15,000)

TES’ Captain

Favorite: Knight ($15,300) Knight is my nod as the most important member of this TES squad. You look at their shift back to an LPL power, and it directly is related to his shift in performance. In TES’ series win over Victory Five, Knight had 12 total kills and multiple games that were over 4 kills. His Syndra performance into one of the World’s best mid laners (Rookie) was amazing and worth watching if you are into watching high-level League of Legends. I think Knight will put a lot of pressure on Xiaohu and even more importantly, prevent him from moving into the side lanes without getting punished. It is almost solely the impact Knight has on the map that has me uncertain of an RNG victory.

Value Pick: Tian ($13,800)

RNG’s Flex

Favorite: Xiaohu ($10,000) For RNG to best TES in a second series matchup in a week, they will need high output from their superstar mid laner. In their first matchup, Xiaohu was eventually put on wave management duty and moved away from the high-impact picks we were used to seeing. RNG controlled the series through really intelligent drafts and the ability to play around with objectives. In a second meeting so close to the first, RNG will need to rely on Xiaohu to create in-lane pressure. I think this could be a spot where Xiaohu gets put on higher damage picks and carry this series. If the series plays out this way, you will see Xiaohu will rack up huge points on Saturday.

Value Pick: Wei ($9,000)

TES’ Flex

Favorite: JackeyLove ($10,600) Much like the Gala pick, you are grabbing JackeyLove here for the value of his position. While his last performance against Gala wasn’t impressive, he and the rest of TES put V5 in a bodybag on Wednesday. JackeyLove looked to be back in top-tier form and we saw TES convert on a lot more of their early game aggression. JackeyLove will need to convert on the early trades and delay Gala from scaling as long as possible. Look for him to play champions like Caitlyn, Xayah, and Aphelios to try and put more pressure on RNG.

Value Pick: Wayward ($8,000)
