This is it! We have made it to the final day of LEC matches in the 2022 Spring Split and there is one more spot available for the Spring playoffs. Team Vitality and the MAD Lions are separated by one game and both have matches against bottom of the table teams. If Vitality win, they are in and they will need to tap into the veteran experience to lock in their playoff spot. The other big shock was the Misfits picking up a win over Fnatic yesterday after being down a huge amount of gold early. This propels Rogue back into first place and gives Misfits an opportunity to sneak into the second seed and a bye in the Spring playoffs. You Have the perfect scenario for Sunday with every game having significance to the playoff standings and you will not want to miss any of these matches! Let’s dive in!

Game #1: SK Gaming v Misfits

Game Breakdown: There is a pretty wide gap in this matchup between the carries of Misfits and those of SK Gaming. The highest kill total for SK Gaming is Jezu with 46 kills and that is less than the Misfits’ top laner (HiRit) who has 47. Vetheo will have all the attention on his with his 6.3 KDA and 86 kills. We saw MSF scrape out a win against FNC on Saturday, but it was made far more difficult than it needed to be when MSF put Vetheo on a control mage. Put him on something with agency and let him eat. The scarier that Vetheo becomes, the better Neon performs. He gets ignored in team fights and can pick up some decent kill participation because of it.

Favorite Picks: Vetheo (MSF: $11,700/$7,800), Neon (MSF: $11,700/$7,800)

Value Picks: Jezu (SK: $9,900/$6,600)

Cann’s Pick: Misfits

Game #2: Vitality v Astralis

Game Breakdown: On paper, Vitality should run away with this game. They have better players at basically every position including one of the greatest players to come out of Europe, Perkz. Unfortunately, it just isn’t working. The super team that Vitality has tried to build doesn’t play like we thought and we see them get outworked in most matches. Two places we need to keep an eye out for and the first is in the bottom lane. Not for Carzzy, though he has played better in recent weeks, but looking out for Kobbe. He leads all players in this match in kills (59) and the next closest is the VIT jungler Selfmade with 51. If he can get a large enough lead in the bottom lane, we could see the makings of VIT missing playoffs. We also need to track Whiteknight and Alphari. Alphari has been the king of laning phase but into another hyper aggressive laner, it could become very volatile. IF Whiteknight gets ahead in the top lane through a trade or 1v1, it could be goodnight for Vitality.

Favorite Picks: Carzzy (VIT: $11,400/$7,600),

Value Picks: Kobbe (AST: $9,600/$6,400), Zanzarah ($5,800), WhiteKnight ($5,000)

Cann’s Pick: Astralis

Game #3: BDS Esports v MAD Lions

Game Breakdown: MAD Lions will roll over this team. I understand by me saying that, I have probably sealed their fate and they will lose in 30 minutes but this match shouldn’t be close. MAD Lions, even for their weaker mid laner and underperforming top laner, have superior players. They can abuse Adam’s over aggression in the top lane and set BDS really far behind. I think Unf0rgiven (70 kills) and Kaiser (151 assists) should be able to put enough space between themselves and the BDS bottom lane that MAD Lions should glide through late game teamfights.

Favorite Picks: Unf0rgiven (MAD: $10,800/$7,200), Kaiser (MAD: $5,600), MAD Lions ($4,800)

Value Picks: Nuclearint (BDS: $6,600)

Cann’s Pick: MAD Lions

Game #4: Fnatic v Excel Esports

Game Breakdown: This is setting up to be a huge trap game for FNC. The Fnatic squad had a control-your-own-destiny set up to hold first place in the LEC but dropped it through terrible late game play on Saturday. Now they are facing an XL team who is already 1-0 against them in 2022. The place to watch here is again the bottom lane. FNC’s Upset has 11 deaths in 15 games played which is best in the league by far. XL’s ADC (Patrik) is one of the highest performing LEC players on a weekly basis and this game will be decided by which team can push the advantage in the bottom lane and get their superstar ADC ahead.

Favorite Picks: Upset (FNC: $12,000/$8,000), Humanoid (FNC: $11,100/$7,400), Razork (FNC: $6,800)

Value Picks: Patrik (XL: $10,200/$6,800), Mikyx (XL: $5,200), Excel Esports ($4,200)

Cann’s Pick: Excel Esports

Game #5: Rogue v G2 Esports

Game Breakdown: Rogue has to be tired of hearing the narrative that they cannot win against good teams and they can’t win in playoffs. The storyline of them being lackluster down the stretch has crept into their minds already as they have dropped 4 games in the second half of the s[plit after going undefeated in the first 9 matches. G2 has lacked a consistent playstyle which has led  to them losing matches against bad teams. If Rogue comes out with their traditional, scaling focused playstyle, This should be a clean win.

Favorite Picks: Comp (RGE: $11,100/$7,400), Larssen (RGE: $11,400/$7,600), Trymbi ($6,000)

Value Picks: BrokenBlade (G2: $5,800), caPs (G2: $6,800), Jankos (G2: $6,400)

Cann’s Pick: Rogue
