T1 Esports v Fredit BRION

(-175) DRX v Kwangdong Freecs (+131)

(-260) Weibo Gaming v Rare Atom (+190)

(+400) Invictus Gaming v Top Esports (-725)

(+650) Team WE v Royal Never Give Up (-1200)

Saturday brought us another team who is locked into the LPL playoffs with LNG’s 2-1 win over LGD. With 22 games left to play in the LPL, there are three playoff spots still available and 7 teams still in the hunt. The LCK has 24 games left and only two playoff spots left. Those two spots are being fought over by three teams, two of which are playing on Sunday. T1 is looking to go undefeated in their last three series to round out one of the greatest LCK splits of all time. With so many matchups to break down, let’s dive in!

Series #1: T1 Esports v Fredit BRION

Game Breakdown: There should be no way this series is close. Fredit BRION not only has a weaker lineup, but most of that lineup is now out with COVID-19. Gumayusi and Faker are the best two carry players in the LCK right now and they play their roles differently. We have Faker playing more aggressively in lane with the support of Oner. He then transitions that lead into Faker being able to patiently play out late-game team fights. Gumayusi and Keria will make some early trades but Gumayusi focuses on using his mechanical skill to roll in the late-game objective fights. I fully expect Gumayusi to get close to his 200 kills in a single split in this matchup. The cheapness of the T1 players makes zero sense to me here and I would put as many of them into your lineup as possible.

Favorite Picks: Gumayusi (T1: $11,700/$7,800), Faker (T1: $10,800/$7,200), Oner (T1: $7,200), T1 ($5,800)

Value Picks: N/A

Cann’s Match Pick: T1 Esports (2-0)

Series #2: DRX v Kwangdong Freecs

Game Breakdown: Kwangdong has really impressed me as of late. I think they are a team that has good pieces but will struggle at times to cleanly shut out games. Their opponents, DRX, have a very slow playstyle. They methodically play the map and will keep a very consistent approach to the game regardless of the opponent. We have seen them struggle against variability and teams that can create advantages at unique times. Off-meta dives, early rotations, and unique gank paths all seem to slow down DRX and KDF can bring that through the diverse champion picks and consistent play out of Teddy in the ADC role. You have to watch our for DRX’s Deft, as he leads all players in this series with 140+ kills and a 73% team kill participation rate.

Favorite Picks: Deft (DRX: $7,600), Zeka (DRX: $7,000)

Value Picks: Teddy (KDF: $7,200) Kwangdong Freecs ($5,000)

Cann’s Match Pick: Kwangdong Freecs (2-1)

Series #3: Weibo Gaming v Rare Atom

Game Breakdown: Three games separate these two teams and Weibo is coming off a very demoralizing loss to Top Esports on Friday. I will note, I do worry about their ability to shake that loss and come into this matchup-focused. WBG wins series off of smart macro play and TES beat them through raw mechanical skill. RA have players with high mechanical skill. A player to watch out for on the RA side is Cube. TheShy has struggled in the top lane and Cube is 7th among top laners with 92 kills this split. His almost 3 kills per game is a great average for a top laner and depending on the pick he is on, he could derail leads for WBG in other lanes.

Favorite Picks: Angel (WBG: $7,400), SofM (WBG: $6,600). huanfeng (WBG: $7,400)

Value Picks: iBoy (RA: $9,300/$6,200), Cube (RA: $5,200), Rare Atom ($4,800)

Cann’s Match Pick: Weibo Gaming (2-1)

Series #4: Invictus Gaming v Top Esports

Game Breakdown: I have emotional scarring from TES and I feel like that old wound is ready to be reopened. For those readers who haven’t been around the LOL pro scene long, TES looked like the unkillable giants in 2020. They had some of the most creative champion picks, an exciting over-aggressive playstyle, and individual skill that was unmatched. In the world championship that year, they fell flat on their face. Since that moment they have found time after time where they have fallen short of reaching that same level of play. 2022 is feeling similar to the quality of play they once had. JackeyLove (ADC) and Knight (Mid) have begun to lean back into their aggressive style. JackeyLove has 142 kills and Knight is nearly at 200 assists. IG has almost no real threats outside of their ADC (Wink) and his numbers are overinflated because of the lack of quality on the team.

Favorite Picks: JackeyLove (TES: $12,000/), Knight (TES: $11,700/), Mark (TES: $5,800)

Value Picks: Wink (IG: $10,200/$6,800), Zika (IG: $5,800), Xun (IG: $6,200)

Cann’s Match Pick: Top Esports (2-0)

Series #5: Team WE v Royal Never Give Up

Game Breakdown: I would call RNG the second-biggest favorite on the slate. Team WE just got their second series win of the entire Spring Split and they have only won 27% of their games played. RNG is in second place and is one game out of first place. You have to watch out for Xiaohu on Sunday. He has 142 kills, 195 assists, to only 49 deaths. He has 73% team kill percentage rate and he will have a huge impact in the side lanes. His jungler, Wei, has averaged over 60 FPPG which is the second-best across the whole slate.

Favorite Picks: Xiaohu (RNG: $12,000/$8,000), Wei (RNG: $7,600) bin (RNG: $7,000), RNG ($6.000)

Value Picks: beishang (WE: $5,400)

Cann’s Match Pick: Royal Never Give Up (2-0)
