(+400) Hanwha Life Esports v Gen.G (-750)

KT Rolster v Liiv SANDBOX

(-600) Victory Five v Anyone’s Legend (+360)

(+425) LGD Gaming v LNG Esports (-700)

(+110) Bilibili Gaming v Edward Gaming (-145)

The top of each league is becoming clearer and with the LEC already done with their Spring Split, there are only three more major regions to decide. On this Saturday slate we have one game that should be a close competitive series in the LPL (BLG v EDG) and the rest appear to be very one sided. Anyone’s Legend take on the top of the LPL table in Victory Five in an effort to keep their playoff dreams alive. DRX also have a tough matchup in their campaign to make top three in the LCK as they face Kwangdong Freecs, who just took the league’s best T1 to a full three game series. Some upsets are possible across the slate but more importantly there are more top tier players that you can be slotting into your lineups from each game. Let’s dive in!

Fantasy Value Breakdown

Series #1: Hanwha Life Esports v Gen.G

Game Breakdown: Gen.G is in such an interesting quandary. As a team, they are heads and tails better than the entire league. They have dropped one series to a team not named T1 and they have a 24-11 individual game record. The problem for them? They are 0-4 against the league leading T1. What do they do? They are one of the best teams in the world and they have superstar players across their roster. Both Ruler (124) and Chovy (116)are in the top 10 in terms of kills in the LCK and Peanut has done a great job finding ways to facilitate their win conditions in the early game. Hanwha’s best performer is SamD who has 105 kills and 121 assists through 32 games played. Hanwha will have a few good team fights where SamD can produce but widely I think the struggles, especially for Ellim in the jungle.

Favorite Picks: Ruler (GEN: $11,100/$7,400), Lehends (GEN: $6,200), Gen,G ($5,800)

Value Picks: SamD (HLE: $6,400), Vsta (HLE: $4,600)

Cann’s Match Pick: Gen.G (2-0)

Series #2: KT Rolster v Liiv SANDBOX

Game Breakdown: This series will be tough to watch. It will ultimately come down to whether or not Aiming will have enough gas in the tank to carry KT to two wins. KT Rolster has had this horrible habit of making small choices throughout the game that make it ultimately impossible for Aiming to seal a win in late game teamfights. He has 142 kills and 142 assists in his 35 games played. If he was surrounded by better teammates, I could see him having an even higher production rate. He ends up being the only threat for KT and focused down by the opposing team in the late game. The job of eliminating Aiming as fast as possible will have to come from Howling and Hambak. The problem here? These are both bench players for LSB because the entire starting lineup is out with COVID. This should be a fast series and one you should really only be looking to pick up a few pieces from.

Favorite Picks: Aiming (KT: $11,400/$7,600), Aria (KT: $10,500/$7,000), KT Rolster ($5,200)

Cann’s Match Pick:  KT Rolster (2-0)

Series #3: Victory Five v Anyone’s Legend

Game Breakdown: I flipped-flopped on the actual scoreline of this series. I said it earlier this week and I will note it again here. Anyone’s Legend has some legit play makers on their team and the individual skill has never been a problem for this lineup. Their ADC (Betty) is an absolute rockstar and has a 5+ KDA and leads the team with 160 total kills. The real place that AL has a shot is actually in the top lane. V5 have fluctuated between two different top laners (Rich and one series of Invincible) and AL has only run with Zdz. Zdz is comparable in KDA (2.6) and team kill participation (53%). He is not afraid of dying to help AL win a teamfight but won’t always throw his life away. If he can find ways to rotate out of lane, AL has a shot in teamfights. That being said, this should be a very fast series. V5 is looking explosive and the production out of their Jungle/Mid/ADC combo is out of this world. Expect big price tags for this team, so you will need to fill the lineup with some heavy underdogs or be selective on who you pick.

Favorite Picks: Photic (V5: $12,000), Karsa (V5: $7,400), Ppgod (V5: $6,400), Victory Five ($5,600)

Value Picks: Betty (AL: $10,200/$6,800), Forge (AL: $6,600)

Cann’s Match Pick: Victory Five (2-0)

Series #4: LGD Gaming v LNG Esports

Game Breakdown: This is another matchup that I can play out in my mind going sideways for LNG. The earliest part of LNG’s schedule, they were rolling over the bottom tier teams in the LPL. Light was topping the damage and kill charts early in the season and Doinb was doing an exceptional job controlling waves. When LNG hit the big teams in the LCK, they began to slip. We saw how much work Light was having to do in late game teamfights and when he couldn’t carry the entire team, LNG began losing. The fear for LNG in Saturday’s matchup will be what pressure can Shad0w create in the jungle and how can that pressure be used to Eric ahead. Eric is LNG’s ADC and he has outperformed LGD’s record. He has 129 kills and 153 assists in 2022. If he can match the carry potential of Light, LGD has a chance to pick up a win or two in this series.

Favorite Picks: Light (LNG: $11,700/7,800), Tarzan (LNG: $7,200), Ale (LNG: $6,800)

Value Picks: Eric (LGD: $9,900/$6,600), Jinjiao (LGD: $4,400)

Cann’s Match Pick: LNG Esports (2-0)

Series #5: Bilibili Gaming v Edward Gaming

Game Breakdown: I am setting my alarm for this matchup and you should too. This is a very possible playoff matchup and both of these teams have huge expectations put on them by their fanbases. Their paths to this point have been opposite trajectories, with BLG looking better in the second half of Spring and EDG in a seemingly uncontrollable spiral. BLG has probably the best top laner in the LPL in Breathe. Breathe is an almost instant lock in your lineups and he can put the entire series on its head. EDG has struggled to find a consistent top laner which hurts a lot since they have Flandre in the top lane. Flandre set the standard for individual skill in the top lane but he now gets regularly exposed and this could be a big risk for EDG.
