Top Esports v Weibo Gaming
A slate that is covered in favorites, the task at hand is trying to pick which players will have the best showing. The most exciting match on the slate has to be the showdown between the super hot TOP esports, who are currently on a 6 game winning streak, going up against the second-place Weibo Gaming. The matchup between T1 and their LCK rivals (Kwangdongs Freecs) is the only other matchup that includes two playoff-bound teams. The gap between T1 and the rest of the league seems insurmountable and the expectation is T1 handles this fringe playoff team.

Fantasy Value Breakdown
Series #1: Kwangdong Freecs v T1 Esports
Game Breakdown: To pick KDF to win even a singular game in this series would warrant someone needing to have me checked out by a doctor. The kill leader in the LCK, Gumayusi, has 50+ more kills than the highest performing KDF player. Gumayusi’s 170 kills put him on pace to be at nearly 250 kills in the 18 series played in 2022. Teddy, the KDF ADC, is looking at his former team for Friday with very little hope. T1 is hands down stronger in every lane and can play the map so effectively. Oner will be the lynchpin to this T1 victory. He is averaging 34 fantasy points per series compared to the KDF jungler, Ellim.
Favorite Picks: Gumayusi (T1: $11,700/$7,800), Faker (T1: $10,500/$7,000) Oner (T1: $7,000) T1 ($5,600)
Value Picks:
Cann’s Match Pick: T1 Esports (2-0)
Series #2: DWG KIA v Nongshim RedForce
Game Breakdown: Throughout the 2022 season, DWG have proven themselves as a top-three team in the LCK. The bottom lane of deokdam and Kellin have hit a groove and have been producing at a much higher level. The young ADC, deokdam, is now averaging 72 FPPG and picked up 10 kills in their last series. Bdd is a solid mid laner for Nongshim, but we have seen his impact fall off since joining his new team. The gap in the top lane is going to be Nongshim’s best route to victory. Burdol and Hoya have both had a rough 2022 while Canna from NS has had a really productive year for the struggles that his team has had thus far.
Favorite Picks: deokdam (DWG: $11,100/) Kellin (DWG: $9,000)
Value Picks: Canna (NS: $5,400)
Cann’s Match Pick: DWG KIA (2-0)
Series #3: TT Gaming v JD Gaming
Game Breakdown: This is going to be a terrible series to watch. ThunderTalk has had one of the worst seasons in LPL history. They are tied with Team WE for the worst record in the LPL at 2-11 and have only won 9 individual games (33 total). JDG sits at 5th place and a half-game behind TES in the standings. I think the Hope/Missing bottom lane is the bottom lane to jump on for Friday. Hope has an over 90 FPPG average and is still averaging over 5 kills per game. Puff has no chance in this matchup, especially with the pressure that Kanavi will put on the map. Kanavi has over 200 assists (one of the best in the LPL) and has been hyper-focused on making sure Hope is scaling quickly.
Favorite Picks: Hope (JDG: $12,000), Kanavi (JDG: $7,400), Missing (JDG: $6,400)
Value Picks: Ucal (TT: $5,800)
Cann’s Match Pick: JD Gaming (2-0)
Series #4: Rare Atom v Ultra Prime
Game Breakdown: This is one of the places we will be able to pick up some great value in our lineup. In the straight-up team comparison, Rare Atom should have a strong advantage here. They have bad individual performances, but most times we see the carry performances of Strive and iBoy being enough. We have to watch out for Elk in this matchup though. The UP ADC has a very high ceiling. UP has had a really disappointing season and Elk still is averaging nearly 75 FPPG and has the second-most kills in the LPL (170). This series should go the full series but I can easily see Ultra Prime finding a big performance out of Elk or Cryin and stealing this series.
Favorite Picks: Cube (RA: $5,800), Leyan (RA: $6,200)
Value Picks: Elk (UP: $7,000), ShiauC (UP: $5,400), Ultra Prime ($4,600)
Cann’s Match Pick: Rare Atom (2-1)
Series #4: Top Esports v Weibo Gaming
Game Breakdown: The most explosive matchup of the day is not just between TES and WBG, but more specifically between Knight and Angel. TES and WBG are the reflections of two drastically different playstyles. TOP Esports is aggressive and Knight will find ways to rotate into the side lanes early to put pressure on WBG. Angel loves playing control mids that push waves hard which allows him to take towers fast. The two players are close in FPPG, kills, and assists. The biggest gap between the two players is the 15 fewer deaths on the side of Angel which is why his KDA is over 7.3. The production team for this game will hyper-fixate on the bottom laners but this series will be decided in whose playstyle gets the edge in the middle lane.
Favorite Picks: Knight (TES: $11,400/$7,600), JackeyLove (TES: $7,600)
Value Picks: SwordArt (WBG: $5,200), Angel (WBG: $6,600), SofM (WBG: $5,800)
Cann’s Match Pick: Weibo Gaming (2-1)
