Time for our super-sized LPL and LCK Saturday slate of the week! We get an extra game which gives us 10 more players to choose from. As the week comes to a close, teams like Bilibili Gaming and Rare Atom are looking for as many opportunities to convert wins and make a push to the playoffs. T1 continues to put pressure on Gen.G for the number one spot in the LCK and TOP Esports is looking to do the same in the LPL with JDG and V5 ahead of them. Watch out for chances of multiple upsets on this slate, so you will have some opportunities to flip your lobbies with smart picks.

League of Legends DFS Fantasy Breakdown

Series #1: KT Rolster v Kwangdong Freecs

Series Breakdown: This game makes absolutely no sense to me. KT Rolster already has one series win over HLE this split alone and has higher producing carries with Aiming (ADC) sitting at 83 kills so far. FATE (mid) and Ellim (jungler) are possible win conditions for KDF. The duo both do a really good job of building small early game leads but I constantly see them getting picked as a team in the late game. I think finding ways to slot KT players into your lineup may be the smartest way to rack up big points for Saturday and edge out players who will fade them because they are dogs.

Series #2: DRX v T1 

Series Breakdown: There is little doubt in my mind that T1 will win this series. The question becomes how cleanly will they be able to secure that series win. Gumayusi continues to play well and has found ways to limit some of those mistakes he had with over-aggression. He has 68 kills and a KDA over 4 which is respectable for a player in the ADC role. The big key matchups though will be the battle in the solo lanes. T1 have the edge in the top lane with Zeus (74 kills and 27% team kill share percentage) and his ability to make plays throughout the entire game. Many players in the top lane are either impactful in the laning phase or in late-game team fights, Zeus does both. For DRX, they need to exploit the middle lane. T1’s Faker is adequate but nowhere near the power level he used to be and the DRX mid-laner (Zeka) has put up great numbers thus far with 78 kills (most among mid-laners) and a 71% team kill participation rate. It will be a close series and I think all major carries will pick up good numbers on Saturday.

Series #3: Oh My God v FunPlus Phoenix

Series Breakdown: Another matchup that I think will be closer than most think. I am a huge fan of the FPX resurgence and I believe them to be a much better team than they had been before the top lane switch. Thank being said, the side lanes of OMG are legitimate carry threats and shanji may be the best top laner in the LPL. If he was on a better overall roster, I think you could expect him to jump from his current 77 kills to well over the league-leading 88. This will go to three and you wouldn’t be crazy to start leaning into OMG for an upset win in this spot.

Series #4: Bilibili Gaming v Rare Atom

Series Breakdown: This is the second match where I think people are overvaluing a team and Vegas has set the wrong team as a dog. BLG is a sham of an organization and while their new ADC (Rise) put up good numbers in his last series, the last series was against a terrible LGD squad that had to be decided in 3 games. I think iBoy could be a really sneaky captain pick (ADC facing this fresh new replacement) because he normally doesn’t lose the laning phase in a straight-up 2v2. It will take a lot of resources out of BLG to make sure that iBoy isn’t a factor in the late game and I just don’t see them having those resources.

Series #5: Edward Gaming v TOP Esports

Series Breakdown: TOP Esports could be described as a betting favorite for the LPL title this split. They play well into the top teams in the league and you have Knight and JackeyLove playing at the top of their game. In fact, Knight (mid-laner) has the third-most kills in the LPL (117) and has played four fewer games than the top-two players in that category. EDG can find times to put up big numbers and performances, but usually, it is against the bad teams. In better teams, we see them play more reserved and can limit their own chances. I can see them winning one game with a smart draft or clever early-game play but they are not playing at the same speed as TES right now.
