OG Academy (World rank: #89) vs. Young Gods (World rank: #106) – 3:00 P.M. ET
Moneyline Odds: OG Academy (-240) | Young Gods (+195)

Top Play:

lineko - Under 16.5 Kills vs. OG Academy (Map 1)

It is crazy to me to see such a high projection for lineko in such a difficult spot. Lineko has the lowest K/D ratio of any member of this Young Gods lineup (0.81) and he also has the second-worst Rating (0.91) across 25 maps played. In the past three months, lineko has averaged a measly 0.59 kills per round. At that rate, lineko would need 29 rounds just to reach 17 kills. PrizePicks had venomzera's kill projection at 16.5 on Monday, and venomzera is the clear star rifler of this team. Additionally, this is a tougher match-up for Young Gods, as reflected by the odds, so it makes no sense why lineko would be projected for 16.5 kills here when venomzera, the better player, had the same projection in a better spot. Lineko did manage 19 kills last month on Mirage against OG Academy, but that was a super competitive map that went the full 30 rounds, and OG Academy should have probably ran away with that map if not for some heroic clutches from the Young Gods side. The teams also played in May, and lineko only had nine kills in a 7-16 loss to OG Academy, and I'm expecting a similar result in this spot. Lineko has had less than 17 kills in five of his last seven maps played, and he has gone under in a majority of the maps that Young Gods have lost. OG Academy opened this event with a loss to Young Ninjas, but I still think that they are one of the stronger teams at WePlay Academy League Season 5, and they should take care of business as (-240) moneyline favorites in this best-of-one.
