ENCE Academy (World rank: Unranked) vs. Young Gods (World rank: #105) – 3:00 P.M. ET
Moneyline Odds: ENCE Academy (-150) | Young Gods (+125)

Top Play:

venomzera - Over 16.5 Kills vs. ENCE Academy (Map 1)

Young Gods have played 25 maps with this lineup, and venomzera has been their most consistent player by far. He is the only member of Young Gods with a Rating above one (1.18) and also the only member with a K/D Ratio above one (1.16) during their 25 maps played. Venomzera is an aggressive rifler, taking 23.2% of his teams opening duels, and he has been the most successful in opening duels with a 54.3% success rate, which is why he leads Young Gods with 0.13 opening kills per round. Venomzera was excellent last season at WePlay Academy League Season 4 with a 1.16 Rating, 1.12 K/D ratio, and 0.76 kills per round across 17 maps played, so he should be comfortable here in Season 5. Additionally, venomzera has had at least 17 kills on seven of the last eight maps that he has played, and he had 16 when he went under for the only time. He will look to continue that success against an ENCE Academy roster that is perhaps a bit overrated at the moment.

ENCE Academy announced their academy roster earlier this month and their has been a lot of hype surrounding the next generation of Finnish talent. Juissi played really well at Elisa Open Finland Season 2 and has star potential. We've also seen myltsi post some strong performances at the tier two level with Enterprise, and HENU looked good at Fragleague Season 8, so we have watched some these players in action before. However, there are still a lot of question marks at the moment for this team, like with their AWPer podi, who has only recorded two maps ever on HLTV, and he really struggled on one of them. I just don't have overwhelming confidence in ENCE Academy until they prove themselves as a unit, plus Young Gods have past experience at WePlay Academy League. I think Young Gods are capable of pulling this upset and making this a competitive best-of-one, and venomzera will be the key to victory for them as their star rifler. I'm taking the over because I think ENCE Academy are getting too much respect, and venomzera is not getting enough.
