G2 stomped Movistar Riders last time, but they got the luxury of starting CT Nuke in a best-of-one, and Movistar Riders only managed one measly T round. Movistar Riders also look to be in much better form coming into this event having won six series in a row. This is the best Movistar Riders have looked since reaching #12 in the world back in April, and G2 are not a lock in this spot. Movistar Riders finished ahead of teams such as Vitality, MOUZ, Astralis, 00NATION, BIG, and Sprout at the IEM Cologne 2022 Play-In tournament, and they have a shot of making a run at this event. G2's most played map in the past three months is Dust2, but we can expect Movistar Riders to ban that right off the bat. From there, G2 should have a huge advantage on Inferno, where they have an 8-1 W/L record across nine maps played in the past three months. However, G2 don't have a win rate above 50% on any other map besides Dust2 & Inferno in the past three months, which leaves the map pool wide open for Movistar Riders.

Heroic have only played four maps with jabbi in the lineup. Granted, they have looked solid with a 3-1 W/L record, and they were the highest-rated team at the Play-In event, but I still have some doubts about a team playing with a new member. NiP have a 14-10 W/L record across 24 maps played with their lineup, and they have won maps against FaZe and NAVI. They have also won series against ENCE, Cloud9, Vitality, FURIA, Bad News Eagles, and SINNERS, so this lineup has proven itself as being legit since adding Brollan. There are always questions surrounding es3tag on the AWP, but he has looked fine for the most part, and I think he will have no trouble against cadiaN, who isn't exactly the sharpest sniper amongst the elite teams either. These teams have some of their best stats on some similar maps such as Inferno and Overpass, but I give the edge in this best-of-three to the more experienced lineup. Overall, I just can't get behind the idea of an unproven Heroic lineup being the favorites against an NiP lineup that has already won maps against some of the best teams in the world. I'll take NiP here as the underdog.

NAVI have a winning record on Dust2, Overpass, Mirage, and Inferno and they should be able to beat MOUZ on any map that is played. NAVI are the biggest favorites on the slate, and I see no reason to fade them here.

Mirage is the most played map for both of these teams in the past three months, though ENCE have the higher win rate with an 8-6 W/L record across 14 maps played. ENCE have also been solid on Vertigo (6-2 W/L record), Ancient (6-2 W/L record), and Nuke (8-4 W/L record). All things considered, ENCE look to be the better team, and I think their map pool is strong enough to win out in this best-of-three.
