CFB DFS Quarterbacks Week 7

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Bryce YoungBAMATENN950028.11080026.90
After sitting out last game with a shoulder injury, Young looks like he may play this week. If we get official word he’s active, then the Alabama QB has to be considered in all formats. Young gets a favorable matchup against a Tennessee defense that’s allowing 307.4 passing yards per game (128th in FBS). Maybe he’s limited with that shoulder, but it’s worth the risk in this matchup in a high total game with the potential of a big stat line. If Young is out, then Jalen Milroe is a solid pivot as he’s put up 21 DK in both games with his teammate injured.
Max DugganTCUOKST800031.521100027.42
If you want to fade the Alabama QB situation and Dillon Gabriel possibly returning from injury, then you’re likely choosing between Duggan and Spencer Sanders as your top cash QB. Both are great plays facing each other in a high-scoring Big 12 battle. Duggan has been playing lights-out lately with 53 and 37 DK in the last two games while taking advantage of favorable matchups vs. Oklahoma and Kansas. Now he gets another good spot against a subpar Oklahoma State defense that’s allowing 304 passing yards per game (126th in FBS).
Jason BeanKUOU75009.4499009.44
Jalon Daniels will reportedly miss the rest of the season after injuring his shoulder last week, but at least we know he’s not playing this week. So now it’s Bean, a fifth-year senior who filled in nicely last week when Daniels went down. He had four TDs and 28 DK in relief of Daniels and proved he’s capable of keeping the Kansas offense afloat. You might remember that Bean was decent at times last season when starting over Daniels and he was a DFS play for us when previously starting at North Texas too. He also brings some dual-threat into the mix. Oklahoma’s defense has looked very suspect against Big 12 competition and Bean can be a solid cash or GPP play.
Taulia TagovailoaUMDIU690023.01
Since he plays for an up-and-down Maryland team and isn’t an elite college QB, Tagovailoa often goes overlooked for CFB DFS. However, Taulia is a very good play whenever he gets easy matchups and that’s what he has this week. Indiana’s pass defense is one of the worst in the country, allowing 282.2 yards per game (118th in FBS). The Hoosiers have given up big games to almost every opposing QB this season and Tagovailoa will surely be the next. The Terps QB just tossed 315 yards, three TDs, and 32 DK vs. Purdue and can replicate or best those numbers here.
KJ JeffersonARKBYU640027.411060025.61
It looks like Jefferson will play this week after sitting out last game with a head injury. Outside of his subpar effort against Alabama, the Arkansas dual-threat has at least 32 DK in three of his four other games. Jefferson’s DFS floor is usually safe with his rushing ability and now he faces a BYU rush defense that’s allowing 172 yards per game. Maybe he takes it easy rushing-wise in his first game back, but he’s worth the risk especially at an affordable DK price.
Kurtis RourkeOHIOWMU620027.93
There’s a high-total MAC matchup on the DK slate and both QBs are in play. Rourke is too cheap when you consider this high-scoring game environment and what he’s done in recent games. The Ohio QB threw for 327 yards and three TDs last week vs. Akron, had 24 DK the game prior, and put up a whopping 51 DK against Fordham three games ago. The Western Michigan defense allowed big stat lines to opposing QBs in both of its MAC games already and Rourke should do the same. Plus, Ohio has to keep scoring because its own defense is pretty shaky.
Quinn EwersUTISU570016.24940016.24
Ewers is priced up on FD, but he’s too cheap on DK for his talent level and what he just did last week returning from injury. The Texas QB put up 28 DK points with four passing TDs in the blowout over Oklahoma. Now things get a bit tougher as Iowa State boasts a strong pass defense. Still, Ewers is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and will benefit from playing at home here. Load him up in GPP lineups and consider as your Super-Flex in DK cash.
Graham MertzWISCMSU530017.27
We don’t usually target Wisconsin’s passing game, but it’s impossible to ignore Mertz at his cheap DK price in a very good matchup. Michigan State’s pass defense is the worst in the Big Ten, allowing 292 passing yards per game (122nd in FBS). The Spartans are allowing opposing QBs to have good games on a weekly basis and Mertz has the talent to exploit the matchup. He just threw for 299 yards and five TDs for 32 DK against Northwestern last week. It’s worth a shot in GPPs and maybe even cash at that cheap price.

Other QBs To Consider:

  • Dillon Gabriel – Oklahoma (GPP)
  • Spencer Sanders – Oklahoma State (Cash/GPP)
  • Jaren Hall – BYU (Cash)
  • Hendon Hooker – Tennessee (GPP)
  • Jack Salopek – Western Michigan (GPP)
  • Tyler Van Dyke – Miami FL (GPP)

CFB DFS Running Backs Week 7

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Bijan RobinsonUTISU920028.971050025.80
If Bijan Robinson is on the slate, then he has to be considered in all formats. However, this week’s matchup isn’t a slam dunk like when he faced the bad Oklahoma defense last Saturday. The Iowa State rush defense is good, allowing just 91 yards per game (13th in FBS). Still, Robinson is the best running back in college football and has the talent to get it done for our DFS lineups even in a tougher matchup. He’s put up at least 22 DK in every game thus far and has 100+ rushing yards in four straight coming in. Robinson isn't a cash lock this time, but he might be less popular than normal.
Braelon AllenWISCMSU820020.42
After an ugly Week 5 showing, Allen bounced back in a big way last game with 135 rushing yards on 23 carries, 23 DK points, and even a passing TD added in. This is what we’re used to seeing from Allen in a workhorse role for Wisconsin and he should put up another big statline this week. Michigan State’s defense is among the worst in the Big Ten and has allowed a 100-yard rusher in three straight games. Allen is the top high-priced cash RB on the DK slate if you’re fading Robinson.
Jahmyr GibbsBAMATENN790022.2950019.37
With Bryce Young injured the past two games, Gibbs has taken on a much bigger role in the Tide offense. After not seeing double-digit carries over the first four games, the Bama RB had 18 and 21 attempts in the past two. The added workload gave him 206 and 154 yards, respectively, as he also benefited from having dual-threat Jalen Milroe in the backfield with him. While Young is likely back this week, Alabama may still lean on Gibbs at times to keep their star QB healthy. He’s expensive, but Gibbs is a prime high-upside GPP play this week.
Quinshon JudkinsMISSAUB680020.53940020.16
Judkins has seen his salary rise in recent weeks, but he’s still a great play in all formats. The true freshman scored two more TDs last week for a total of eight scores through six games while averaging nearly 100 yards per contest. Judkins had a “down” game by his standards last week with only 46 rushing yards, but that was because Ole Miss was facing a bad Vandy pass defense and Jaxson Dart threw it more often than usual. Expect the Rebels to give Judkins more than his 11 carries last week against a below-average Auburn rush defense. Since he’s priced up, maybe it’s a better GPP play than cash.
Raheim SandersARKBYU650024.83960021.50
Sanders continues to roll out good DFS performances as Arkansas’ offensive catalyst and he’s a great cash play on this slate – especially at a pretty affordable DK price. Sanders has at least 23 DK in four of the last five games and has 20+ carries in all but one game thus far. He and the Razorbacks offense will benefit from having KJ Jefferson back this week, and it could lead to another heavy workload for Sanders if Jefferson isn’t running as much. Still, this matchup is a great one against a BYU defense that’s allowing 172 rushing yards per game (97th in FBS) and just got torched on the ground by Notre Dame last week.
Devin NealKUOU570013.55670012.55
Neal should continue to operate as Kansas’ lead back with Daniel Hishaw Jr. still out. That was the case last game when Neal ran for 88 yards on a season-high 15 carries against TCU. Plus, the Jayhawks may lean on Neal and the rushing game more with Jalon Daniels out – which also helped Neal see more work last game. The OU rush defense is one of the worst in the country, allowing 214.5 rushing yards per game (122nd in FBS) with 14 rush TDs over six games. Neal is a solid value on both sites in this high-total matchup and a clearer path to touches.
Sieh BanguraOHIOWMU550019.28
Last week, Bangura put up 36 DK points with his four TDs and 115 total yards. If we get that type of statline at just $5500 on DK, then it’s a steal. There’s certainly upside for Bangura to give you 20+ DFS points, though, in this is a high-total MAC game where both defenses are subpar. Western Michigan has allowed big games to both opposing MAC RBs this season and Bangura can certainly take advantage. If we take out his games against Iowa State and Penn State, the Ohio lead back has put up 16, 24, and 36 DK in his three other contests this season. Consider for cash or GPP at likely lower rostership.
Henry Parrish Jr.MIAVT480019.58
On the DK slate, Parrish is underpriced sitting below 5k despite being Miami’s best RB right now. He just put up 19.5 DK last game thanks to his role as a pass-catcher (seven catches, 46 yards, TD). Usually, Parrish gets the majority of carries in this backfield and that should keep his floor high enough in cash with Miami being favored on the road at Virginia Tech. This defense just got destroyed by Pitt RB Israel Abanikanda to the tune of 320 yards and six TDs. Now Parrish is no Abanikanda, but he should still be priced higher than this.
Jarquez HunterAUBMISS440012.98600010.50
As the complementary back to Tank Bigsby in Auburn’s offense, Hunter will tend to do just enough to give you double-digit DFS points with the upside for more. He may not get many carries, but there’s a pass-catching role for Hunter and that will put him on the field more as Auburn is a two-touchdown underdog to Ole Miss. In six games, Hunter has at least 10 DK five times with receiving touchdowns in both games where the Tigers lost big (Penn State and Georgia).

Other RBs To Consider:

  • Mohamed Ibrahim – Minnesota (GPP)
  • Blake Corum – Michigan (GPP)
  • Sean Tyler – Western Michigan (GPP)
  • Josh Henderson – Indiana (Cash)
  • Nolan McCormick – Ohio (Cash)

CFB DFS Wide Receivers Week 7

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Xavier HutchinsonISUUT830026.07920016.82
Hutchinson continues to churn out big stat lines as the target hog in Iowa State’s passing game. He showed last game that he can go for eight catches, 100 yards, and 21 DK even when his team scores just nine points. He now has at least 21 DK in five of six games and the PPR floor is there for cash. Iowa State should be passing more in the second half this week while trailing Texas, and that will keep Hutchinson’s floor higher too. He hasn’t steered us wrong yet, so you can trust for cash.
Quentin JohnstonTCUOKST670013.44870012.00
Anyone catch Quentin Johnston’s stat line last game? TCU’s top receiver went nuclear with 14 catches for 206 yards, a TD, and 43 DK points. Talk about a breakout performance for a guy that had to eclipse double-digit DFS points. Johnston and TCU took advantage of the favorable matchup vs. Kansas and now there’s another good setup against Oklahoma State’s shaky defense that’s allowing 304 passing yards per game (126th in FBS). He’s still a GPP play for now, but the massive upside is clearly there.
Corey CroomsWMUOHIO660014.88
We’ve talked about Ohio’s offense in this MAC matchup, but Western Michigan has some decent options too. Corey Crooms is WMU’s top receiver and he’ll likely go overlooked because of the expensive price tag compared to other top WRs on the slate. Still, Crooms will be facing a bad Ohio pass defense that’s literally dead last in the country in both passing yards allowed per game (386.8) and passing TDs (18). This matchup is so juicy and Crooms makes for an excellent GPP play, it’s just tough to trust him in cash.
Bru McCoyTENNBAMA580014.68720011.48
Cedric Tillman is reportedly out again this week. So that keeps Bru McCoy in a prime position as one of Hendon Hooker’s top targets alongside Jalin Hyatt. In Tillman’s absence, McCoy has 12 catches for 242 yards over the past two games combined with 24 DK in both. He’s still pretty affordable considering this role increase and recent production. Tennessee should be passing it more in this matchup vs. Alabama and McCoy will play a big role yet again.
Chimere DikeWISCMSU560016.65
If you’re playing Graham Mertz, then Dike is the clear top target and makes for a cheap pairing in all formats. Honestly, Dike can be rostered as a one-off in this very favorable matchup. He’s Wisconsin’s only real pass-catching threat and just went off for 10 catches, 185 yards, three TDs, and 49 DK last game. Now he gets to face a bad Michigan State pass defense? Giddyup!
Luke GrimmKUOU520011.6867009.43
Grimm has been a solid cash floor play all season and it continued last week despite Jalon Daniels getting hurt. The Kansas wideout had six catches for 73 yards and a TD as a reliable target for Jason Bean. That safe cash floor role should continue against a poor Oklahoma defense this week in a high-scoring matchup. Bean may lean on Grimm plenty for easy completions and in the red zone like he did last week.
Sam WigluszOHIOWMU500019.07
Wiglusz is too cheap on DK for what he’s done in recent games. First off, he leads Ohio in receptions (35), yards (434), and TDs (5) over six games but is just 5k flat? Plus, the guy has put up 17, 26, and 36 DK in the past three games and just went off for seven catches, 144 yards, and two scores last week. Wiglusz is thus a strong value in all formats. On that note, Jacoby Jones is also a good value at $3600.
Kody EppsBYUARK410014.63770012.05
BYU continues to deal with injuries in the WR corps and Kody Epps has emerged as a top target for Jaren Hall lately. Epps just had four catches for 100 yards, two TDs, and 29 DK last game vs. Notre Dame. He now has at least 15 DK in three of the last four and TDs in four straight. BYU may be without Gunner Romney, who got hurt again last week, and Puka Nacua is still banged up and clearly limited. Epps is taking advantage and will face an Arkansas pass defense that’s allowing 307 passing yards per game (127th in FBS). This is a great matchup and Epps is too cheap on DK for his current role.
Luke SchoonmakerMICHPSU38009.6555007.73
We told you about Schoonmaker last week and he came through big time with nine receptions, 67 yards, and a TD for 21 DK points. Clutch! Well, let’s run it back because the Michigan tight end is still way too cheap on both sites. Yes, this is a tougher matchup against Penn State, but Schoonmaker has a clear role now in the Michigan offense. He’s one of J.J. McCarthy’s top targets and that will continue as long as he’s making plays and both Erick All and Roman Wilson remain out.
Corey DychesUMDIU380012.53
Taulia Tagovailoa showed us last year that he likes throwing to his tight ends as Chigoziem Okonkwo emerged as a favorite target. Now he’s doing the same thing with Dyches, who leads Maryland in receiving yards (322) and receiving TDs (3) this season while being second behind Rakim Jarrett in catches. Dyches just had 29 DK last game and has at least 8.4 DK in four straight. Not bad for someone that’s below 4k on DraftKings. We mentioned it above with Taulia, but this matchup vs. Indiana is very good for Maryland.
Ja'Tavion SandersUTISU370013.88610011.80
Sanders is another value we suggested last week and he smashed with five catches, 71 yards, and two TDs for 24 DK points. Similar to Schoonmaker, the sites have not adjusted Sanders’ salaries enough and he makes for excellent value again. The tight end is a favorite target for Quinn Ewers right now and he even outperformed Xavier Worthy last game. In a tougher matchup vs. Iowa State, we may see Sanders get plenty of targets from his QB again.
Will MalloryMIAVT350011.8
Simply put, Mallory is mispriced on DK this week. He’s one of the top targets for Tyler Van Dyke with Xavier Restrapo out and should be at least in the 5k range. Mallory put up 22 DK last game with eight receptions and 115 yards. He has at least nine DK points in three straight games despite not finding the end zone yet. That’s a great floor for sub-4k.

Other WRs To Consider:

  • Jalin Hyatt – Tennessee (GPP)
  • Cam Camper – Indiana (GPP)
  • Xavier Worthy – Texas (GPP)
  • Bryson Green – Oklahoma State (Cash)
  • Brayden Willis – Oklahoma (GPP)
  • Jacoby Jones – Ohio (Cash/GPP)
  • Kaleb Smith – Virginia Tech (GPP)
