CFB DFS QUARTERBACKS

DraftKings

Caleb Williams (USC) @ORST ($10.2K DSK)

The 6-foot-1 sophomore transfer from Oklahoma has helped transform USC’s offense into a scoring machine. Williams is completing nearly 75 percent of his passes (64 of 86) for 874 yards and eight touchdowns, without throwing an interception and is also capable with his legs, running for 145 yards — before sack yardage is deducted — and two touchdowns. Trent Bray, OSU defensive coordinator compares Williams to former Oregon star Marcus Mariota (2014 Heisman winner)- a player that can beat you with his legs and arm. Williams is the top DK play.

FanDuel

Bryce Young (ALA) vs. VAN ($11.0K FD)

Alabama has the highest implied team total (49.50) of the entire slate and face Vanderbilt at home. Young is vying for one of the rarest feats in all of sports – winning the Heisman Trophy two times! This game is an opportunity for Young to stuff his stat sheet against a bad Vandy defense and add to an already 116.0 QB rating and a 24.7 fantasy point average. Do I need to say any more about Young? He is a star and the best QB on the board on FanDuel.

CFB DFS Top Value Plays

DraftKings

Doug Brumfield (UNLV) @ UTST ($7.1K DK)

Instability at quarterback position has been a problem for UNLV’s football program for years. Fortunately, they may have finally found their guy and now have legitimate aspirations of qualifying for a bowl game in 2022. Rebels’ sophomore Doug Brumfield currently ranks first in the Mountain West in total offense (297.67 yards per game) and touchdown passes (seven) and is averaging 41.3 points and 479.7 yards of total offense a contest. In last Saturday’s 58-27 win over North Texas his abilities were on full display as he completed 21 of 27 passes for 211 yards and one TD and he carried the ball 12 times for 100 yards and two more scores. Brumfield has completed better than 70% of his passes this year but it is his running ability that sets everything up for the Rebels as he is the Rebels second leading rusher with 153 yards on 28 carries, including a pair of touchdowns on the season. His ability to escape the pocket and extend plays will be a huge test for Utah State tonight making Brumfield the top QB value of the slate

FanDuel

Spencer Rattler (SCAR) vs. CHAR ($8.8K FD)

Rattler has been wildly inconsistent this season and tonight’s game will go a long way in determining what direction South Carolina’s football team will take as conference play is right around the corner. This week, he will be facing Charlotte- the worst defense in college football (per yards allowed). They have a very leaky secondary and Rattler, who has struggled so far in this pro-style Gamecock offense, has thrown for 721 yards, but is completing less than 60% of his throws with five interceptions. Charlotte is also last in Conference USA, allowing 320 yards passing per game, so if there is a team for Rattler and his receivers to wake up, this is it.

Other QBs to Consider:

Will Levis- UK ($8.3K DK/$9.7K FD) With Rodriguez out Levis has thrown for 300+ in every game

Dillon Gabriel - OU ($8.5K DK) This offense is fast and KSU is slow

CJ Stroud – OSU ($9.1K DK/$11.4K FD) Toughest matchup all season but still a stud

KJ Jefferson- ARK ($7.0K DK/$9.2K FD) We know he can run- TA&M defense is suspect

Chance Nolan- ORST ($6.5K DK)

Logan Bonner- UTST ($4.9K DK) Need to confirm starter but either Bonner or Legas are in play as top punts

Max Johnson- TA&M ($4.9K DK)

CFB DFS RUNNING BACKS

DraftKings

Devon Achane (TA&M) vs. ARK ($6.3K DK/$9.0K FD)

Prior to Saturday’s game against No. 13 Miami, Achane’s production had stalled to begin the year. A season ago, he was averaging 7.0 yards per run and this season through two games, he averaged 3.4 yards per play. It all changed against Miami as Achane surpassed 100 total yards for the first time this season in A&M’s 17-9 home win at home. He totaled 88 rushing yards off 18 carries (4.9 yards per run) and caught four balls for 42 yards. Achane has made at least one trip to the end zone in each of A&M’s first three games and is the only player in the nation to have scored a rushing, receiving and kickoff return touchdown already this season.

FanDuel

Jahmyr Gibbs (ALA) vs. VAN ($8.2K FD)

It wasn’t exactly a Bowl opponent last week, but Gibbs gave us glimpses of his future fantasy value against UL-Monroe as he accumulated 158 all-purpose yards against the Warhawks and caught a team-high four passes for 65 yards and a touchdown while adding 36 yards rushing. I would expect the same and even more this week against Vanderbilt. Like above with Young- there isn’t much t say but play Bama players and get a piece of that huge high team total (49.50).

CFB DFS Top Value Plays

DraftKings

Aidan Robbins (UNLV) @ UTST ($4.7K DK)

Robbins committed to UNLV from Louisville in the spring to replace Charles Williams, the school’s all-time leading rusher. He did establish himself as the lead running back in fall camp, but had not yet put together a breakout performance during his first two games. Well last week

against North Texas he had his coming out party. Robbins rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 7.8 yards per carry which earned him Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week honors. $4.7K is a near free square for a RB1 that is coming off a dominant performance like Robbins did- no matter who he faces this week. Robbins and Calvin Tyler are both mispriced tonight

FanDuel

Kavosiey Smoke (UK) vs. NILL ($6.1K DK/$7.3K FD)

Kentucky’s stud RB Chris Rodriguez, the second-leading rusher in the SEC last year, has finally been cleared to return on October 1st against Ole Miss. We get one more week of Kavosiey Smoke who has done a solid job filling in the gap by recording 178 yards on 39 carries.  Smoke is a talented prospect, but he does fill the two-back role alongside Rodriguez Jr. better than by himself. If some holes can be created Smoke could have a solid day against Northern Illinois- he may not win you a GPP but it is n a reasonable price for a RB1 on a team with a 40.00 team implied total. “Get right” spot for a back that sees 60% of the rush attempts

Other RBs to consider:

Raheim Sanders- ARK ($7.4K DK/$9.2K FD) Should get A LOT of carries (60% of team yardage)- love this spot and “Rocket” is my top GPP play at RB

Deuce Vaughn- KSU ($6.7K DK/$8.8K FD) Do-It-All with huge upside but tough matchup

TreVeryon Henderson- OSU ($8.4K DK/$8.4K FD) If fully healthy he can nuke the entire slate

Braelon Allen- WISC ($7.1K/$8.5K FD) GPP only for  me

Calvin Tyler- UTST ($4.8K DK) Misprice- had a big Week 1 (116 yards) but has struggled the next two weeks; this is still too cheap of a price making Tyler viable in all formats

CFB DFS WIDE RECEIVERS

DraftKings

Jordan Addison (USC) @ ORST ($10.3K DK)

It all comes down to whether you can afford Addison as he is EXPENSIVE. More of a GPP play for me due to his enormous ceiling as he has three games of 22/39/19 DKFP. They will not force the ball to Addison like he was at PITT due to the talent of the USC receivers room but just one look at his line after the Stanford game of 7-172-2 and he can easily be the top scorer of the slate.

FanDuel

Charlie Jones (PUR) vs. FAU ($10.8K FD)

Purdue QB Aidan O’Connell and Jones have quickly become one of the Big Ten's dynamic duos. Jones leads FBS with 32 receptions at 10.7 per game and is second in the nation with 474 yards. With a 37.0 team implied total Jones will eat today against the FAU secondary and eat often.

CFB DFS Top Value Plays

Brian Cobbs (UTST) vs. UNLV ($4.2K DK)

Cobbs has been the best receiver on this Aggie team. He has 12 receptions on 20 targets and now with Kyle Van Leeuwen out for the year with a torn ACL he gets a major fantasy upgrade.

FanDuel/DraftKings

Evan Stewart (TA&M) vs. ARK ($3.6K DK/$5.3K FD)

Stewart is back from suspension. This is an A&M passing attack where Ainias Smith and Stewart account for 53% of the total team target share with no other receiver accounting for more than eight targets in three games played. Stewart is a phenom and one of the biggest recruits for TA&M in years- no one on the roster has the talent to separate from backs like Stewart does.

Other WRs to Consider:

Jaxon Smith-Njigba- OSU ($7.6K DK/$8.5K FD) UPDATE: JSN is OUT

Marvin Harrison- OSU ($7.0K DK/$10.0K FD) Will nuke- especially now with JSN OUT

Emeka Egbuka- OSU ($6.2K DK/$9.2K FD) Upgrade with JSN OUT

Marvin Mims- OU ($8.4K FD/$8.4K FD) Great play under $9K FD

Johnny Wilson- FSU ($5.5K DK/$7.5K FD) Had his breakout last week- firmly in play at $7.5K FD

Justin McGriff- UTST ($4.1K DK) On play as cash Value on DK as Van Leeuwen is Out so more targets to pass around

Jermaine Burton- ALA ($6.2K FD)

Ainis Smith- TA&M ($5.9K DK/$6.5K FD) More $$ than Stewart but in play GPP

Ricky White- UNLV ($5.8K DK) cash play with 14 targets last 2- love UNLV prices

Kyle Williams- UNLV ($5.4K DK) Also in play with 19 targets last 2

Zay Flowers – BC ($5.8K) Will see 10+ targets putting in GPP
