CFB DFS QUARTERBACKS

Cameron Rising (Utah) vs. Arizona ($9.1K DK)

Rising was a surprise late scratch last Thursday against Washington State so we need to check his status tonight but if he plays, he is the top arm of the slate.  He was a triple threat in Utah's victory in Week 8 over USC finishing with 30-of-44 passing for a career-high 415 passing yards (2 TDs) and 60 rushing yards (3 TDs). The junior was responsible for 475 of Utah's 562 yards of total offense as his 415 passing yards was the first 400-yard passing game by a Utah quarterback since 2005. Through seven games, Rising is in the top 25 nationally in completion percentage (.688), passing efficiency (161.5), passing yards (1,855), and passing touchdowns (15) plus he has six total rushing touchdowns, which is tied for the third-most by a Power Five quarterback this season. Enough said. Lock him in against one of the worst defenses in the country.

Note: Heavy rain/wind is expected in ARIZ/UTAH game- so we need to monitor

Jayden de Laura (Arizona) @ Utah ($7.7K DK)

Arizona may be heavy road dogs against Cameron Rising and Utah but this is the highest total of the slate (68 points) and de Laura and his Wildcats offense is one of the most improved in the nation. We have seen de Laura throw for 380 passing yards in four of his last five games and they were all in catch-up mode- just like we should be seeing tonight. With 16 touchdowns in those games, we have one of my top GPP plays here as he faces a defense that has not allowed under 220 yards in any conference game this season.

Note: Heavy rain/wind is expected in ARIZ/UTAH game- so we need to monitor

Will Rogers (Mississippi State) vs. Auburn ($7.6K DK/$10.3K FD)

Rogers is the leader of the Bulldog's Air raid offense and over eight starts, the junior quarterback has completed 67.9% of his passes for 2,555 yards and 23 touchdowns. The 2,555 yards and 23 TDs rank third in the nation and lead the Southeastern Conference plus he leads the nation in pass completions (258) and pass attempts (380). A Mike Leach Air Raid is often difficult to stop and Auburn’s defense is ranked 95th in the nation in points allowed. Given Auburn’s recent struggles on defense, this is a big-time spot for Rogers and we can’t forget what he did to this defense last season- 415 passing yards and 6 TDs.

Robby Ashford (Auburn) @ Mississippi State ($5.1K DK/$9.0K FD)

Ashford is coming off his best game as the Auburn signal-caller even though they were stomped by LSU last weekend. The way he played (and has developed) was one bright note on an otherwise dismal afternoon. Ashford completed 24-of-33 passes (72.7 percent) for 285 yards and a touchdown while running for a team-high 87 yards. Even more noteworthy is that managed to not fumble the ball a single time and or commit a turnover since he has been responsible for eight of the Tigers FBS-leading 19 fumbles on the year. Ashford comes in at a minimum price against a Mississippi State defense that allows 227.1 yards per game in the air and if he keeps improving, he will smash value.

Other Quarterbacks to Consider

Bryce Young- Alabama ($9.0 DK/$10.4K FD)

Adrian Martinez- Kansas State ($8.1K DK/$10.5K FD) If he plays – solid GPP if he doesn’t Will Howard is firmly in play as a value

Tanner Mordecai – SMU ($9.7K FD) Top overall FanDuel QB

Taylen Green- Boise State ($6.3K DK/$9.9K FD) Dual-threat and BYU has been torched by this type of QB

Jordan Travis- Florida State ($8.0K DK/$9.8K FD)

MJ Morris0 North Carolina State ($5.4K DK/$5.5K FD) Getting popular over on FD as a Value QB- stone minimum

CFB DFS RUNNING BACKS

Jahmyr Gibbs (Alabama) @ LSU ($8.3K DK/$9.5K FD)

When the ball is in Gibbs’ hands he is considered one of the best big-play threats in the country. Bama’s rushing leader (672 yards/6 TDs) is averaging 6.9 yards per carry which ranks fifth in the country. He also has 1,137 all-purpose yards (3rd in the SEC/10th in the nation) and has logged a team-best 31 receptions for 301 yards and three more scores. Gibbs has had a bunch of breakaway runs this year and if the Tide can keep finding ways to get the ball in his hands and create favorable matchups, we may see a monster night against LSU.

Blake Corum (Michigan) @RU ($7.7K DK/$10.8K FD)

Corum is one of the most reliable runners in the nation. After eight games he is the #2 leading scorer in the country with 15 touchdowns and 90 total points plus he is #6 in yards per game (134.8), #5 in rushing yards (1,078) and #2 in touchdowns (14). He is on pace for one of the most prolific seasons by a RB in Michigan history and it should easily continue tonight against a bad Rutgers defense.

Jo’quavious Marks (Mississippi State) @LSU ($5.2K DK/$7.5K FD)

Marks is the top point per dollar runner on the slate, especially if Dillon Johnson is out again. He has run for 312 yards this year and has scored six touchdowns plus he is just as dangerous as receivers in Mike Leach’s Air Raid scheme that turns the short passing game into an extension of the run. Marks has double-digit DraftKings fantasy points in every game this season mainly due to his 32 receptions in eight games and tonight’s game against Auburn is one of their better matchups of the last few weeks.

Josh Williams (LSU) vs. BAMA ($3.5K DK/$5.9K FD)

Of course, Alabama has a top defense, but we cannot continue to ignore the price on Williams who has become the lead back for LSU. Yes, his salary has risen from $3.0K to $3.5K but that is still disrespectful for a runner that has three straight double-digit DraftKings fantasy point games and has carried the ball at least 14 times in four of his last five games.  Williams has 182 yards on 31 carries over his last two contests plus has added four receptions and a touchdown to that tally. We may not see a slate breaker but at this price he is a top value at his position.

Other Running Backs to Consider

Bijan Robinson- Texas ($8.9K DK/$10.4K FD) Always in play Cash/GPP

Deuce Vaughn- Kansas State ($7.1K DK/$9.1K FD) One of my top conviction runners; big bump up if Howard is the QB

Will Shipley- Clemson ($6.8K DK/$8.6K FD) Top GPP play- love his usage in passing game

George Holani- Boise State ($7.3K DK/$8.7K FD) 100 yards in 3 straight and 4 of last 5 games- real sneaky low-owned play

Henry Parrish- Miami ($5.4K DK/$6.6K FD) Will be completely ignored – but if the Canes make a game of this matchup with FSU- Parrish will be a big part of it.

Jaylon Glover- Utah ($5.3K DK Becomes a great play if Thomas/Bernard both remain out

Donovan Edwards- Michigan ($5.4K DK/$7.7K FD)

Simeon Price- Mississippi State ($3.7K DK/$4.8K FD) If Johnson is out then Price gets a big value upgrade.

CFB DFS WIDE RECEIVERS

Puka Nacua (BYU) @BSU ($6.3K DK/$8.8K FD)

When the BYU offense is at its best- it can be nearly unstoppable. Three weeks ago, against Arkansas, when BYU was matching this SEC defense with throw after throw from Jaren Hall to Nacua. Hall ended up throwing for 356 yards and Nacua had three touchdowns. Nacua has been dealing with nagging injuries, but he has appeared in six of nine games and has 26 receptions for 382 yards and 3 scores. With Epps out and Romney not expected back, we will see quality volume for Nacua again as he has 11/10 and 9 targets over the last three weeks plus even has at least three carries per game. Nacua is the top receiver on DraftKings tonight and viable in all formats.

Rashee Rice (SMU) vs. Houston ($9.5K FD)

A FanDuel play only, Rice is thriving in the Mustangs’ high-tempo offense. He has already accumulated 62 receptions (tied for 5th in the nation) for a career-high 982 receiving yards (#1 in the nation) and six touchdowns through eight contests. A big-play threat waiting to happen, Rice is averaging an explosive 15.8 yards per reception and is one of the premier receivers in the country. No other SMU receiver has more than 17 receptions or eclipsed 300 receiving yards but Rice continues to smash no matter how hard teams key in on the star. He will not come cheap but Rice is the top overall receiver on FanDuel tonight.

Jacob Cowing (Arizona) @ Utah ($8.0K DK)

UTEP transfer Cowing enters tonight’s game against Utah having caught a pass in 40 consecutive games. It is the second-longest such streak in the nation and he ranks eighth among FBS players with 817 receiving yards. He is averaging 13.6 yards per reception and has caught seven touchdown passes this season while averaging 2.42 yards per route run. Cowing also leads the power five in yards after catch and is certainly one of the best route runners in the nation as he is targeted everywhere on the field. If Jayden de Laura is your QB you need to match him up with Cowing and/or Dorian Singer as the Wildcats will certainly be playing catch-up tonight.

Ja’Tavion Sanders (Texas) @ Kansas State ($3.6K DK/$6.0K FD)

Sanders, a former five-start recruit, has made one heck of a jump from his freshman to sophomore season. He has now become one of Quinn Ewers most reliable targets with excellent hands as Texas hadn’t had a tight end record multiple touchdown catches in a game since 2011. Sander’s reception total of 34 is already tied for fourth most among Longhorn TEs in team history as he chases the record of 50. Expect more to come tonight from the Ewers/Sanders combo as both are nice values for GPPs.

Colbie Young (Miami) vs. Florida State ($3.0K DK/$7.5K FD)

Young is an easy value play to start your builds tonight. He is a near misprice on DraftKings for a player that has at least eight targets in three straight games plus three touchdowns. If there is a bright spot to this Miami offense so far this season it’s Young especially after his Week 8 performance when he torched Duke’s secondary for 127 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Even more impressive is how he has put up such solid numbers with two different quarterbacks and a sputtering offense. Young has played 65, 52, and 69 snaps in the last three games and will be a highly owned source of salary relief at the stone minimum price on DK- lock him in as your punt receiver.

Other Wide Receivers to Consider

Devaughn Vele- Utah ($7.4 DK) If Kincaid is out, you want exposure to Vele in some of your lineups- could be a huge game if Rising plays- Top GPP

Nathaniel Dell- Houston ($9.6K FD) Top FD WR after Rice

AT Perry – Wake Forest ($7.3K DK/$8.1K FD)

Xavier Worthy- Texas ($6.4K DK/$8.3K FD)

Dorian Singer- Arizona ($6.8K DK) Top GPP play

Samuel Brown- Houston ($6.8K FD) FD value

Johnny Wilson- Florida State ($6.2K DK/$7.6K FD) Cheap on FD

Malik Knowles- Kansas State ($4.8K DK/$6.6K FD)

Kayshon Boutte- LSU ($5.1K DK/$5.9K FD)

Michael Mayer- Notre Dame ($6.5K DK/$7.2K FD) Team leader in targets with 74 (next closes is 37)

Will Mallory- Miami ($3.3K DK/$5.7K FD) Top value behind Sanders/Young
