CFB DFS QUARTERBACKS

Jordan Travis - Florida State vs. Duke ($9.2K DK/10.2K FD)

Jordan Travis is directing a Seminole offense that leads the ACC in scoring, red zone conversion percentage, fewest tackles for loss allowed and fewest turnovers. Individually he stands in the top-five in fewest interceptions thrown, points responsibility, passing touchdowns (16), passing efficiency, passing yards per game (247), yards per pass attempt and completions per game. He looks the part of a Heisman contender especially after throwing for 247 yards and a touchdown last week to lead the Seminoles to the 41-3 win over Syracuse. This Duke defense is no pushover but if I’m paying up at quarterback, I lean Travis over Caleb Williams who is facing an always tough Utah squad.

Jaxson Dart - Mississippi @ Auburn ($9.5K DK/10.7K FD)

Jaxson Dart is the leader of a Rebel offense that ranks second in the SEC and eighth nationally at 41.7 points per game. On the year he is 107-of-167 (64.1%) for 1,638 yards, 12 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Dart has also been very effective on the ground, currently ranking as Ole Miss’s second-best rusher at 302 yards and four touchdowns on 63 carries. His 323.3 yards of total offense per game rank also him second in the SEC and seventh nationally. This is a night that is starved for quality DFS quarterbacks and Dart is a top talent with two of the top receivers on the slate (Jordan Watkins and Dayton Wade) now healthy and rolling.

Josh Hoover - TCU @ Kansas State ($7.5K DK/9.2K FD)

Josh Hoover, a redshirt freshman, led the charge for TCU last week against BYU completing 37 of 58 passes (63.8%) for 439 yards and four touchdowns. That’s 58 passes- unheard of for a backup quarterback making his first collegiate start. Sonny Dykes and Kendall Briles obviously knew what Hoover was capable of and allowed him to sling it and sling it he did. Manhattan, KS will be hostile and loud, but Hoover will be facing a KSU defense that is allowing 265.5 yard in the air per game (113th).

Other Top Quarterbacks

Caleb Williams, USC ($10.5K DK/11.5K FD) - Williams is looking to bounce back from the Notre Dame loss and of course could nuke the slate but the Utah defense has ranked at the top of the Pac-12 conference in the past two seasons and this year they’ve taken their game to another level holding opponents to 12.2 points and 277.8 yards per game ranking nationally as one of the best defenses across all of college football.

JJ McCarthy, Michigan ($7.9K DK/9.3K FD)McCarthy finished last week against Indiana having completed 14-of-17 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 27 rushing yards, despite being sacked three times. With 22+ DK points in four of his six games played McCarthy is a solid cash play tonight against Michigan State.

Cade Klubnik, Clemson ($7.8K DK/8.4K FD)Klubnik is coming into his own as he has thrown only 2 interceptions this season and none during Clemson’s last four games.  Overall, he has thrown for 1,370 yards with 11 touchdowns and has also rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns. Sneaky spot here against the Canes.

Tyler Van Dyke, Miami ($6.4K DK/9.0K FD) - Van Dyke has 1,721 passing yards and 16 touchdowns on the season. When the Hurricanes started 4-0, he eleven touchdowns to only one interception. Over his last two games he had five touchdowns and five interceptions in losses in Georgia tech and North Carolina and now comes in the Clemson game with an injured right leg. I’m always a fan of Van Dyke in GPPs so even with a bum leg he could put up big numbers.

FanDuel QB Rankings

  1. Jayden Daniels, LSU
  2. Chevon Cordeiro- San Jose State
  3. Cade Klubnik- Clemson (Value)
  4. Jaxson Dart- Mississippi State
  5. Jordan Travis- Florida State

CFB DFS RUNNING BACKS

Tahj Brooks - Texas Tech @ BYU ($6.5K DK/9.5K FD)

Tahj Brooks is Texas Tech’s version of Robert Newhouse- the former Dallas Cowboys running back. Brooks has been a monster this season yet still hasn’t received enough carries. Head coach Joey McGuire stated this week that he finally should be getting the ball more against BYU especially with true freshman Jake Strong, who is no Graham Harrell, under center. When Brooks is productive, the Red Raiders are tough to stop, and Brooks has now eclipsed 100 rushing yards in four of his last five contests. Texas Tech is 7-1 all-time when Brooks runs for at least 100 yards, and they should be 8-1 after tonight as Tahj Brooks rolls for another 100-yard game making him the top overall runner on the slate.

Ja’Quinden Jackson - Utah @ USC ($5.3K DK/6.5K FD)

Ja’Quinden Jackson was back last week and looked well rested against Cal as he carried the rock 22 times for 94 yards and one touchdown. Last season, Jackson had a breakout year, playing in 13 games for Utah as a quarterback and running back. He ran for more than 500 yards and nine touchdowns. In Utah’s final regular season game against the Colorado Buffaloes and in the Pac-12 title game against the USC Trojans, Jackson posted back-to-back games with over 100 rushing yards and multiple touchdowns. It’s been an injury riddled season so far but after last Saturday’s performance the best may be yet to come for Jackson as he now faces the worst run defense on the slate- USC. This Utah running game is physical and the USC defense is soft- fire up Ja’Quinden Jackson tonight.

Jaquez Moore - Duke @ Florida State ($4.0K DK/5.3K FD)

The Blue Devils boast one of, if not the best, rushing attacks in the league, led by running backs Jordan Waters and Jaquez Moore. Duke is 19th in the nation in rushing offense, racking up 198.5 yards per game on the ground and 17 touchdowns. Last yet when Jaylen Coleman went down Moore ran for a career high 508 yards averaging an impressive 6.43 yards per carry and scoring five times. This season he has 53 rushes for 280 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns and at only $4.0K on DraftKings Moore is the top running back play under $5K.

Other Top Running Backs

Blake Corum, Michigan ($8.1K DK/9.5K FD)Corum, is actually off to a quieter start this fall than last year as he ranks 45th nationally in rushing yards per game (78.0) and 84th in yards per carry (5.7) but 15 carries inside the opponent’s five-yard line he has 12 touchdowns — more than any running back in the country has from any distance. Due to pricing Corum will always be lower owned making him an awesome GPP play.

Treshaun Ward, Kansas State ($5.6K DK/7.3K FD)DJ Giddens has been the talk of CFB after nearly running for 300-yards against UCF three weeks ago. Now Ward is back from injury, and he took right over last week running for 118 yards on 15 carries. Both are in play tonight but take the $1.1K discount on the Florida State transfer.

Quinshon Judkins, Mississippi ($6.6K DK/8.7K FD)After leading the SEC in rushing as a freshman last season, Judkins has gained 443 yards on the ground this season despite battling a nagging injury. He comes home to face Auburn this week and with three touchdowns over his last two games Judkins could very well end up as the highest scoring running back on the slate.

Jordan Waters, Duke ($6.4K DK/7.6K FD) - Waters may be one of the most underrated players in the ACC. On just 10.83 attempts per game, Waters has found the end zone nine times including on a season-high 83 yard burst last week. At 19.0 DK points per game, he is worth a shot in GPPs tonight against FSU.

  1. Marcus Carroll- Georgia State
  2. Tahj Brooks- Texas Tech
  3. Ja’Quinden Jackson- Utah
  4. Jaquez Moore- Duke (Value)

CFB DFS WIDE RECEIVERS

Xavier Restrepo - Miami vs. Clemson ($6.7K DK/8.5K FD)

In 13 games, Xavier Restrepo is on pace for over 101 receptions and 1,244 receiving yards this season. With 47 receptions in the first six games, he is on pace to shatter Charleston Rambo’s single-season reception record of 79 receptions and 1,172 receiving yards in 2021. The slot receiver is Tyler Van Dyke's top target and is second in the ACC in receiving yards per game (95.7) and averages 12.21 yards per reception. Tough matchup against Clemson but Restrepo is near matchup proof after destroying UNC stud linebacker Alijah Huzzle last week for 11 receptions on 96 yards and two scores (33 DKFP).

Jordan Watkins & Dayton Wade - Mississippi @ Auburn ($6.5K & 6.2K DK/8.3K & 7.3K FD)

Through just six games, Jordan Watkins' receiving production is already at a high-water mark for his career as he’s caught 36 passes for 536 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Ole Miss slot receiver is now eighth in the SEC in receiving yardage, but he did suffer an injury in practice this week. Even though it is anticipated that he plays, if Watkins misses time Ole Miss could shift Dayton Wade, who has succeeded in an outside role this year, to the inside. Wade has scored double digit DK points in every game but the opener (13.8 DK points) while Watkins has been even better with double digits in every game while averaging 19.3 fantasy points per contest.

Jacolby George - Miami vs. Clemson ($4.4K DK/7.4K FD)

Miami’s third receiver Jacolby George is really showing his skills this season. The outside receiver is coming off a monster performance against North Carolina in which he set his career-high in receiving yards by halftime, finishing with 6 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown. George has awesome speed, good hands, and can track the ball extremely well as he is averaging almost 16 yards a catch and leads the team in receiving touchdowns with five. It’s a tough matchup against Clemson but with only a $400 increase from a bargain price $4K salary last week on DraftKings George is firmly in play again as one of the top value plays on the slate.

Chase Roberts - BYU vs. TTU ($4.7K DK/$7.8K FD)

There was strong talk during both spring and fall camps that Chase Roberts would be the WR1 for BYU football this season. But the best player on offense? Well, it’s true as he is one of the few players on BYU’s offense that is playing at a high level every single week. Roberts has 25 targets and has caught 14 passes for 283 yards and a touchdown over his last three games and this week he is at home against Texas Tech. A $4.7K tag on DraftKings is just way too cheap for a WR1 and Roberts will be in a majority of my cash lineups.

Other Top Wide Receivers

Keon Coleman, Florida State ($7.0K DK/9.0K FD) - Coleman has emerged as one of the best receivers in the nation. He has caught 29 passes for 418 yards and seven touchdowns, all team-highs, this season. It’s a tough price, so it may keep ownership down, making Coleman a solid GPP stack with Jordan Travis.

Brenden Rice, USC ($5.3K DK/8.2K FD)In his senior season, Rice is solidifying himself as a true No. 1 wide receiver. Through seven games, he's pulled in only 23 catches but has turned them into 452 yards and eight touchdowns.

Xavier White, Texas Tech ($4.0K DK/5.5K FD) - This is more of a gut call but White is due for a breakout game. He is on the cusp, averaging 3.4 yards receiving and three targets per game. GPP-only but don’t be surprised if he scores his first touchdown of the season against a weak BYU defense.

Jared Wiley, TCU ($4.2K DK/6.6K FD) - Wiley leads the team in touchdowns (4) and is second in routes run, targets (31) and receptions (21). TCU loves to use the TE in their offense.

Cody Eakin, Texas Tech ($4.0K DK/$5.9K FD)Eakin played the most snaps of any Tech receiver in each of the last two games and hit double-digit fantasy points in both contests. Season-high 102 yards on seven targets last week against KSU.
