College Football Week 7 CFB DFS Picks
Top CFB DFS Quarterbacks
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Bo Nix | ORE | UW | 10000 | 27.41 | 11300 | 26.81 |
| The highest total on the early slate features Bo Nix vs Michael Penix in a likely back-and-forth shootout. Both are top DFS plays, but they’re also both very expensive and tough to roster in optimal cash lineups. Penix is always capable of throwing for 400+ yards and 4 TDs, but he also has the tougher matchup vs Oregon’s defense than Nix against the Washington defense. The Huskies’ pass D, in particular, looked shaky against both Arizona and Cal in the first two Pac-12 matchups. Nix has been efficient through the air (80% completion rate) with a 15:1 TD:INT ratio and also brings better dual-threat upside than Penix. Roster him if choosing between them. | ||||||
| Jordan Travis | FSU | SYR | 9000 | 24.28 | 10300 | 23.76 |
| Since Bo Nix and Michael Penix are both a bit more expensive, Jordan Travis could be a popular QB1 play in cash lineups. The Syracuse defense started the season strong but has recently gotten exposed by opposing passing attacks. Purdue’s Hudson Card threw for 323 yards in this matchup, UNC’s Drake Maye went for 442 yards and 3 TDs last week, and even Clemson’s Cade Klubnik had 263 yards and 2 TDs against the Orange. The FSU offense should have its way here and Travis brings in 30-40 DK upside at his best. Plus, his dual-threat ability gives him an added bonus over other QBs on the slate. | ||||||
| Jalen Milroe | BAMA | ARK | 8400 | 24.63 | 10200 | 24.03 |
| While a lot has been made about Alabama’s offensive worries, especially at the QB position, Jalen Milroe is still a very solid DFS quarterback. The passing skills aren’t always there, but Milroe’s running ability is what we love for DFS purposes. His cash floor is safer than most because of the dual-threat production. Milroe has 22+ DK in four of five games this season and he’s looking a lot more comfortable in the Bama offense since being benched a few weeks ago. Arkansas’ defense is allowing a ton yards and points during SEC play and it’s actually the worst rush defense in the conference so far. Don't overlook Milroe in cash. | ||||||
| Kyle McCord | OSU | PUR | 7900 | 18 | 9200 | 16.60 |
| In Ohio State’s easier matchups, Kyle McCord has been a solid DFS cash play this season though we haven’t gotten a slate-breaking performance yet. He has 21+ DK in each of his three games against weaker defenses. Purdue categorizes as an average matchup here and McCord should post 20-25 DK again. There is a worry that he may struggle on the road as he’s gone under double-digit DFS points in both road games so far. Still, you could do a lot worse in his price range considering all of the weapons in the OSU offense around him. | ||||||
| Emory Jones | CINCY | ISU | 7300 | 27.21 | ||
| Emory Jones is a bit boom-or-bust for DFS this season, but his highs have been strong 30 DK outings in the right spots. This week could be another at home against a questionable Iowa St defense. The Cyclones looked shaky against Ok St and Oklahoma to begin Big 12 play with both opposing QBs having good games. The ISU rush defense has gotten a bit exposed in conference play too, which plays right into Jones’ strengths as a dual-threat. He’s run for 101 and 94 yards in two of the last three games and could easily go for 100+ yards here – not to mention any passing production. He’s pretty affordable for a Super-Flex play in cash or GPP. | ||||||
| Jason Bean | KU | OKST | 7000 | 11.06 | 8800 | 10.81 |
| Jalon Daniels is doubtful to play this week, so we’re looking at another Jason Bean start for Kansas. His past two starts haven’t produced good stat lines, but they also require context. Last week was a blowout win over UCF where Kansas leaned on the run game. Two weeks ago, Bean went up against a top-tier Texas defense on the road and struggled. This matchup vs Ok St should be much easier and the spread indicates it’ll be a close game with a decent total. The upside for 20-30 DK is there for Bean with his dual-threat ability. Last year vs Ok St, he threw for 2 TDs and added 93 rushing yards with a rushing score. Limit exposure to GPPs, but Bean can be a contrarian Super-Flex on this slate. | ||||||
| Hudson Card | PUR | OSU | 5200 | 16.69 | 7200 | 15.69 |
| Unfortunately, there really aren’t many cheap QBs to consider on this slate. Hudson Card could return value based solely on his game script. Purdue will likely be trailing Ohio State for most of the game, resulting in plenty of pass attempts for Card. The OSU defense is legit, though, so definitely roster with caution. Still, Card may throw it 40-50 times and have the opportunity at 300+ passing yards and 20+ DK points on volume alone. We saw it happen in Week 3 when Purdue was trailing Syracuse. At his cheap price tags, Card doesn't need to do much to return value. | ||||||
Top CFB DFS Running Backs
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Braelon Allen | WISC | IOWA | 8300 | 24.74 | ||
| Even in a low-scoring game against a tough Iowa defense, Braelon Allen can still come through for DFS. We saw it last week when Allen ran for 101 yards and a TD on 21 carries despite playing in 24-13 final vs Rutgers. He now has 20+ DK in four of five games with the potential for 30+ DFS points if he finds the end zone multiple times. Allen is also locked into carries right now with Chez Mellusi out for the year. He’ll likely go overlooked because of the higher price tag, but the cash production is regularly there. | ||||||
| Bucky Irving | ORE | UW | 7500 | 19.6 | 9500 | 17.20 |
| The Oregon-Washington game is clearly one to target and Bucky Irving gives us GPP exposure to the Ducks’ rushing attack. Outside of the Week 1 cupcake matchup, Irving has yet to have a slate-breaking performance – mostly due to Oregon winning big most weeks. The Huskies’ defense is better against the run than the pass so far, but Irving could still put up 25-30 DK if he finds the end zone multiple times. Last year in thism matchup, he ran for 146 yards while Oregon racked up 312 rushing yards. That alone puts a ceiling game in play for Irving. | ||||||
| Devin Neal | KU | OKST | 6700 | 23.03 | 9800 | 20.87 |
| Devin Neal came through big for us last week with 168 total yards, a TD, and 26 DK. He also did it on just 13 touches as Kansas won big and used other ball-carriers. This matchup should be tight throughout with Neal seeing a larger workload as the offense leans on him with Jalon Daniels doubtful to play. Ok St’s defense gave up 220 rushing yards to Kansas St last week in a winning effort. Neal has shown his 25-30 DK potential numerous times this year and he’s averaging an impressive 7.7 ypc and nearly 100 rushing yards per game. He should be a top RB play once again. | ||||||
| Roman Hemby | UMD | IL | 6500 | 14.35 | ||
| In terms of rushing matchups, Maryland has arguably the best one on the slate. Illinois is allowing a slate-worst 176 rushing yards per game (110th in FBS). The Illini defense has been rough overall, but especially against the run. Nebraska ran for 158 yards and 2 TDs last week in this spot while Purdue had 189 yards with 3 TDs on the ground the week prior. Roman Hemby hasn’t been producing in recent games, but he still has GPP upside in this matchup. He’ll surely go overlooked but makes for a contrarian tournament play – especially since he's in the same price range as other top RBs. | ||||||
| Ollie Gordon II | OKST | KU | 6200 | 15.6 | 7800 | 13.20 |
| The Kansas rush defense has looked shaky in conference play, allowing 177 rush yards per game with 8 opposing rush TDs over three Big 12 matchups. In the last two games, Kansas allowed Jonathon Brooks and RJ Harvey have big games for Texas and UCF, respectively. Ollie Gordon can follow suit with a good chance at 100+ yards, a TD, and 25 DK in this spot. After splitting carries early in the season, Gordon has broken out for 120+ yards in back-to-back games with 20+ touches in both. That volume should continue since OK St’s offense is looking better with him as the workhorse. He’s actually pretty affordable on both sites and could be a top cash RB. | ||||||
| Corey Kiner | CINCY | ISU | 5200 | 14.32 | ||
| Iowa State’s rush defense just gave up 152 yards to TCU’s Emani Bailey last week and 121 yards to OK St’s Ollie Gordon three games ago. Of course, it’s not apples-to-apples, but Corey Kiner could be looking at a 100-yard game himself in this matchup. Cincy’s lead back already has a pair of 100-yard performances and he had 77 yards last week vs BYU. He should be locked into double-digit DFS points with the upside for 20+ at a cheap price. Kiner is a solid cash value in this spot. | ||||||
| Kendall Milton | UGA | VAND | 5100 | 7.3 | ||
| Georgia is about a 30-point favorite at Vanderbilt this week. While Daijun Edwards brings along plenty of GPP upside in this soft matchup, the blowout factor could limit his touches and overall DFS production – as we saw last week in a big win vs Kentucky. Instead, Kendall Milton becomes intriguing as a value RB. The blowout could give Milton more second-half carries and a chance at a TD or two. The Vandy rush defense is terrible, so the matchup for the Georgia run game is a good one. Milton returned from injury last week and saw eight carries for 47 yards and a TD. The coaching staff may look to get him more work in this easy win with UGA on a bye next week and then tougher games coming up. | ||||||
| Kaden Feagin | IL | UMD | 4500 | 3.78 | ||
| The Illinois backfield is now dealing with multiple injuries and Kaden Feagin could be the starter by default. Reggie Love is doubtful this week and Josh McCray is out for the season. So, it’s down the Feagin and Aidan Laughery. The former has gotten the most work so far and looks like the top candidate to get lead back touches. Feagin, a true freshman, has been productive in limited work, averaging 6.2 ypc on 24 carries. Two weeks ago, he saw 11 carries against Purdue and ran for 85 yards. This matchup vs Maryland is a tough one on paper, but Feagin could return value on volume alone. | ||||||
Top CFB DFS Wide Receivers
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Marvin Harrison Jr. | OSU | PUR | 8500 | 21.72 | 10000 | 17.42 |
| If Marvin Harrison Jr. is on the slate, then he’s always in play for DFS lineups. Last week, he went off for 33 DK vs Maryland thanks to a strong second-half stat line. The guy is a weekly mismatch for opposing defenses and has the GPP ceiling to smash any slate. There’s a good chance Emeka Egbuka sits out after getting hurt last week, so Harrison could be locked in for more targets from Kyle McCord. The expensive price tags limit him to GPP lineups here, especially with the Oregon and Washington receivers on the slate. | ||||||
| Troy Franklin | ORE | UW | 8100 | 28.3 | 9900 | 22.70 |
| It’s no secret that Troy Franklin is Oregon’s clear top receiving weapon this year. Through five games, he’s topped 100 yards four times with three multi-TD performances – not to mention a locked-in target share. He has 32+ DK in three of five games with 25 DK in another. That consistent stud production could make him more popular on this slate compared to Washington’s trio of wideouts who always have the ceilings but also take away from each other. The Nix-Franklin pairing is expensive, but also can give your lineup 50-60 DFS points with those two alone. There’s enough value on the slate to make it work. | ||||||
| Rome Odunze | UW | ORE | 7900 | 28.44 | 10100 | 22.84 |
| Whenever Washington is on the slate, we’re left with the decision of choosing between Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan. Both are always in play and both are capable of going off for 30+ DFS points – especially in shootouts like this one should be vs Oregon. As for Odunze, he’s averaging 121 yards, a TD, and 28 DK per game so far. McMillan could be more popular since he’s cheaper, but he’s also coming off an injury which carries more risk. They’re both upside GPP plays (and we’ll get to Ja’Lynn Polk soon). | ||||||
| Brock Bowers | UGA | VAND | 7400 | 21.85 | ||
| After three straight stud performances and stat lines, Brock Bowers is now priced way up on the DK slate. He’s posted 36, 33, and 29 DK in the past three games with at least 7 catches, 120 yards, and a TD in each – reminding us all that he’s the best tight end in the country. Bowers was a great cash play when he was cheaper, but those days might be gone now. You can certainly throw him in GPP lineups as we just what the upside is and this matchup vs Vandy is an easy one. | ||||||
| Ja'Lynn Polk | UW | ORE | 6100 | 22.9 | 8700 | 18.50 |
| If you want slightly cheaper exposure to the Oregon-Washington game, Ja’Lynn Polk is arguably the most affordable “stud” – especially compared to Odunze and McMillan from Washington’s WR corps. Polk has 21+ DK in four of five games so far while averaging 93 yards and a TD per game. Of course, Odunze and McMillan are normally better plays in a vacuum. Still, Polk is notably cheaper on both sites and could provide similar DFS production to his teammates. Don’t be surprised if Polk is more popular because of the slight discount. | ||||||
| Isaiah Williams | IL | UMD | 5500 | 15.97 | ||
| As has been the case almost all season, Isaiah Williams is a great cash play at an affordable price. He’s locked in as Illinois’ top pass-catcher role and is the team’s best offensive weapon right now. In PPR formats, he’s a weekly sure-thing for double-digit DFS points with a large target share in the Illini offense. Williams is averaging 6.3 receptions, 83.8 yards, and 16 DK per game with a strong cash floor. Illinois will likely be trailing Maryland for much of this road game, which should lead to plenty of targets for Williams. | ||||||
| Gary Bryant Jr. | ORE | UW | 5000 | 11.74 | 7100 | 9.24 |
| Another cheap way to get exposure to the high-scoring Oregon-Washington matchup is with Gary Bryant Jr. We know Troy Franklin is the clear top guy in the Ducks’ passing attack, but there could be enough scoring and yards for other receivers to return value. Bryant has been up and down this season, but he does have 4+ catches and 55+ yards in three of five games so far. If the Washington defense keys in on Franklin, then Bryant could emerge for a decent stat line and maybe even find the end zone. He's worth a look in GPPs. | ||||||
| Jaden Bray | OKST | KU | 4900 | 9.94 | 6400 | 7.53 |
| With De’Zhaun Stribling out for the season, Jaden Bray is now a top receiving option in the OK St offense. Last week, he had four catches for 77 yards with Stribling out and one of the top targets for Alan Bowman. Even before Stribling’s injury, Bray was consistently producing as a pass-catcher. His 22 receptions and 292 yards both lead the team, and there’s positive TD regression potentially coming as he’s yet to score this year. Rashod Owens is another cheap Cowboys receiver to consider as he had five catches for 75 yards last week with Stribling out. | ||||||
| Ainias Smith | TA&M | TENN | 4900 | 13.1 | 7200 | 10.43 |
| Ainias Smith has maybe flown under the radar this season because Evan Stewart is the headliner in Texas A&M’s passing attack. However, Smith is a solid DFS cash play right now and he’s underpriced for his true talent level. Smith has at least 4 catches and 70 yards in four straight games with 12+ DK in each as well. He always has the upside to find the end zone too, especially as a dynamic returner. Smith is one of the few reliable targets for Max Johnson in the A&M offense and we know they should be throwing a bit more to keep pace with Tennessee. | ||||||
| Carnell Tate | OSU | PUR | 4800 | 4.82 | 4700 | 4.20 |
| It’s very possible Emeka Egbuka is out this week after getting hurt late last game. It would make sense with Penn State on deck for Ohio State. If Egbuka is out, one of the other talented OSU wideouts could step into a much bigger role as the third guy next to Marvin Harrison and Julian Fleming. The top two candidates to consider are Carnell Tate and Xavier Johnson. The latter was Egbuka’s backup on the latest OSU depth chart, so he’s an option. Tate, though, was on the field late for the Buckeyes after Egbuka got hurt. The highly-rated freshman only has five catches on the season, but he could be a GPP upside value with the opportunity. | ||||||
| Dont'e Thornton Jr. | TENN | TA&M | 4300 | 5.3 | 5400 | 4.13 |
| With Bru McCoy now out for the season, Tennessee has a few different receivers who can step into more targets. Chas Nimrod and Kaleb Webb have both been mentioned by the coaching staff and are GPP darts. Dont’e Thornton, though, seems like the most logical guy to take on McCoy’s role and get a bigger receiving workload. He’s a bigger-bodied WR like McCoy and transferred over from Oregon to play in this Vols offense. Thornton has yet to get going this year but now he has the opportunity. He’s returning from a hamstring injury, but all reports is that he’s fully available now. | ||||||
| Ty Washington | ARK | BAMA | 4300 | 28 | 6000 | 24.50 |
| After not doing anything before last week, Ty Washington came out of nowhere with seven catches, 90 yards, 2 TDs, and 28 DK points. That might not be a total fluke stat line, though. With Luke Hasz out for the season, Washington is now Arkansas’ starting tight end and he emerged right away as one of KJ Jefferson’s favorite targets. This is a tough matchup vs Alabama, but Washington might be a safety blanket for Jefferson in this game. We saw it last week and Hasz was previously a favorite of Jefferson’s before he got hurt. He's cheap enough to consider in all formats as a decent salary-saver. | ||||||
| Erick All | IOWA | WISC | 4300 | 11 | ||
| Normally, we wouldn’t recommend rostering any Iowa players in a very low-total road matchup at Wisconsin. However, Erick All is now the next Iowa tight end who’s become viable for DFS. The Hawkeyes passing attack is awful, but the tight ends get the majority of targets when they do pass it. It was Luke Lachey earlier this year, but he’s out for the season. In his absence, All has stepped up as Iowa’s top offensive weapon more often than not. He had four catches for 67 yards and a TD two weeks ago and then followed that up with five catches for 97 yards and a TD last week. The DFS floor is better than you’d think for a guy priced this low. | ||||||
