CFB DFS Quarterbacks Week 14

Caleb WilliamsUSCUTAH880032.881200031.38
Williams has been a stud down the stretch while emerging as the Heisman frontrunner and he’ll surely be popular on this two-game slate. The USC dual-threat has at least 33 DK in six straight games and seven of the last eight, including his 43 DK performance vs. Utah which featured five passing TDs. It’s tough to expect a repeat of that, but it’s not out of the question. Expect Williams to be very active throwing it and running in a high-scoring Pac-12 title game. It’ll be tough to fade him in cash.
Cameron RisingUTAHUSC800024.481020024.07
Rising may get overlooked on this slate compared to Caleb Williams, but he can easily be the highest-scoring player overall tonight. Remember, the Utah QB put up 55 DK against USC earlier this season with three rush TDs and 415 passing yards. Rising and the Utes should have plenty of success against this weak Trojans defense, so 40+ DFS points are possible for Rising in GPPs.
Frank HarrisUTSAUNT610030.731100027.68
Harris is way underpriced on DK compared to his elevated FD price tag. The North Texas defense ranked 110th nationally in passing yards allowed per game in conference play. Harris had 24 DK against UNT earlier this season, which is actually a floor game for him. Expect Harris to be popular on DK because of the discount and potential for 30-40 DFS points in a potential shootout.
Austin AuneUNTUTSA510021.8920019.94
Aune is very intriguing on this slate and he’s definitely in play for cash or GPP. Earlier this season, he put up 26 DK against a UTSA defense that’s 113th in FBS in passing yards allowed per game in conference play. He’s really affordable on DK, but does carry some risk because we’ve seen him go for less than 20 DFS points multiple times this year. That would cost you on this short slate when Rising and Harris should be popular as Super-Flex options. Fire away in GPPs though!

CFB DFS Wide Receivers Week 14

Austin JonesUSCUTAH600013.06940011.46
Since taking over lead back duties for USC after Travis Dye went down, Jones has put up 21, 36, and 21 DK in the past three contests. He’s seen 25 touches with 150+ total yards in back-to-back games against UCLA and Notre Dame. This is a tougher matchup against Utah, but we know Jones will get the volume and be involved in the passing game too. Without any clear-cut RBs worth locking in on this slate, Jones should be a popular RB1.
Kevorian BarnesUTSAUNT440013.6710013.73
Barnes is in line to be UTSA’s lead back this week with both Brendan Brady out and Trelon Smith doubtful. Brady had 112 rushing yards and two TDs against North Texas in the prior meeting and Barnes could post similar numbers against a below-average rush defense. Barnes also had 54 yards on 10 carries in that game. He’s been productive lately when given the volume and he should return value, especially on DK, as UTSA’s main ball-carrier this week.
Jaylon GloverUTAHUSC43008.868008.73
With everyone playing Barnes, Glover is an interesting pivot in cash or GPP. The Utah backfield is still a committee, but Glover should get a larger share of touches now that Tavion Thomas is out of the mix. Micah Bernard is also a solid play against a subpar USC defense, but Glover is more affordable for possibly similar production.
Ikaika RagsdaleUNTUTSA350011.66680010.34
Ragsdale is priced appropriately on FD, but he’s sorely mispriced on DK. He’s been operating as North Texas’ lead back lately with Oscar Adaway and Ayo Adeyi out, which will be the case this week. Ragsdale had 22 touches for 171 total yards, two TDs, and 38 DK last game and has plenty of upside. UTSA’s rush defense is good, so it’s tough to roster him on FD in cash. But the DK price tag is too good to ignore if it means you fit in another high-priced WR or QB.

Also Consider:

  • Micah Bernard – Utah (GPP)
  • Isaiah Johnson – North Texas (GPP)

CFB DFS Wide Receivers Week 14

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Jordan AddisonUSCUTAH740019.83970015.93
Addison has been very up-and-down lately, but he has to be considered a top WR play on this two-game slate. The Trojans’ top wideout put up 29 DK with seven catches, 106 yards, and a TD against Utah earlier this season. He’s just two weeks removed from going off for 37 DK against UCLA with 11 catches for 178 yards and a TD, which is a good sign since he was dealing with an injury beforehand. It’ll be tough to fade Addison in cash and there’s enough value to get him in.
Dalton KincaidUTAHUSC660018.91830015.09
When Utah played USC earlier this season, Kincaid broke the slate with his 16 receptions, 234 yards, a TD, and 48 DK. That’s an insane stat line and it’s evidence of Utah’s being reliant on Kincaid as the top receiver and USC’s defense being very susceptible through the air. We can’t expect those numbers again, but the tight end will be fed targets like usual. He has 18, 20, and 24 DK in three of four games since that explosion and is a great cash play.
Joshua CephusUTSAUNT630018.12870013.78
With De’Corian Clark out, it’s Cephus and Franklin as the clear top UTSA receivers and targets for Frank Harris. Both are great plays in this high-scoring matchup against a weak North Texas pass defense. You can realistically play both and that may be a popular strategy. If choosing between them, Cephus gets the slight nod because he’s cheaper on both sites but can return the same DFS production as Franklin. He had 11 catches, 88 yards, two TDs, and 27 DK against North Texas earlier this season and could easily repeat that performance.
Roderic BurnsUNTUTSA56009.8874007.32
It’s tough to pinpoint North Texas receivers on this slate with inconsistent production week-to-week. Burns is an option as he led the squad in receptions and yardage this season. He had six catches for 139 yards and 22 DK against UTSA earlier this season and could have similar success against a weak pass defense in a high-total matchup. Jyaire Shorter is worth a look but he’s too TD-dependent.
Mario WilliamsUSCUTAH510012.61680010.56
Tahj Washington is also a good USC wideout to play, but Mario Williams is the guy who could go slightly overlooked because he’s underperformed in recent games. He has the ability to go off for 20+ DK and smash value, especially if the Utah defense keys in on Addison and Washington more this week. The GPP upside is there for Williams to even outscore Addison.
Kyle FordUSCUTAH39008.8359007.26
Ford has emerged in the second half of the season as a viable target for Caleb Williams behind Addison/Williams/Washington. He has double-digit DK points in three of the last five games and can return value if he finds the end zone this week, which is certainly possible in a high-scoring Pac-12 title game. It’s worth a GPP dart if you’re looking in Ford’s price range.
Tykee Ogle-KelloggUTSAUNT30008.9649007.36
Cephus and Franklin are the clear-cut top dogs in UTSA’s passing attack, but Ogle-Kellogg has emerged recently. He’s stepped into a slightly bigger role with De’Corian Clark out and he’s taking advantage of the increased opportunities. Ogle-Kellogg just put up 27 DK last game with 142 yards. Since we know the GPP ceiling is there, it’s worth a shot in GPPs at a dirt cheap price.

Also Consider:

  • Zakhari Franklin – UTSA (Cash/GPP)
  • Devaughn Vele – Utah (GPP)
  • Tahj Washington – USC (Cash)
  • Jyaire Shorter – North Texas (GPP)
