QUARTERBACKS
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG | |
| Dustin Crum | KENT | WYO | 8000 | 24.76 | 11500 | 23.23 | |
| If you played DFS on one of those MAC slates, you know about Crum being a top target because of his dual-threat ability. The Kent State QB racked up 633 rushing yards and 11 rush TDs over 13 games to go along with his 2,941 passing yards and 16:6 TD:INT ratio. Expect Crum to be busy through the air and on the ground in this high total matchup as the top overall QB of the slate. | |||||||
| Frank Harris | UTSA | SDSU | 7300 | 24.64 | 10500 | 25.49 | |
| If you’re not playing Crum, then Harris is the contrarian QB play of the slate at the high end. He gets a tough matchup on paper vs. San Diego State’s stout defense, but Harris should be plenty busy as a thrower and runner - especially with Sincere McCormick out, which likely means more rush attempts for Harris. Expect lower rostership than Crum, though, because of the similar pricing. | |||||||
| Levi Williams | WYO | KENT | 6100 | 14.1 | 7200 | 13.67 | |
| Williams could end up being the chalky QB of the slate due to the favorable matchup, high total game and cheaper price tags. The Kent St defense is terrible against both the pass and run while Williams brings some dual-threat ability into the mix. Though Sean Chambers saw some action last game, Williams is still the starter and could be in line for a big stat against a soft defense. | |||||||
Also Consider:
- Lucas Johnson -- San Diego State ($5,000 DK / $7,800 FD)
RUNNING BACKS
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG | |
| Marquez Cooper | KENT | WYO | 6500 | 16.08 | 8800 | 13.97 | |
| The RB position is a bit ugly without any true workhorses in action, but Cooper tops the group by default. Though he’s coming off a terrible performance in the MAC title game - only five yards on six carries - this is a guy who routinely puts up 20+ DK points with 100+ rushing yards and a TD or two in a high-scoring Kent St offense. There’s some risk because of that last game and since he splits work with Xavier Williams, but it’s hard to fade him against a below-average Wyoming rush defense. | |||||||
| Xazavian Valladay | WYO | KENT | 6300 | 15.48 | 8500 | 13.32 | |
| Statistically speaking, the Wyoming rushers get the best matchup of the position against a poor Kent St defense that allowed 186 rush ypg and 26 total rush TDs over nine conference games. Unfortunately the Wyoming backfield is split between Valladay and Swen recently, though the former was the lead guy and DFS stud earlier in the year. Both are firmly in play and you can simply stack both up to lock in all the production in this favorable matchup. | |||||||
| Titus Swen | WYO | KENT | 5700 | 10.76 | 7000 | 10.71 | |
| As mentioned above, Swen and Valladay split the work in the Wyoming backfield and there’s a clear strategy in playing both in the same lineup to maximize exposure to this favorable matchup vs. Kent St. If choosing between the two, Swen might be more popular because of the cheaper price and similar production to Valladay in recent weeks. | |||||||
| Brenden Brady | UTSA | SDSU | 4000 | 6.91 | 7500 | 7.45 | |
| With Sincere McCormick sitting out, Brady is expected to take on lead back duties for UTSA with B.J. Daniels as the backup. He’s priced up on FD but is way too cheap on DK and seems like a free square on that slate. As for FD, it’s more of a decision and a risky one too because we don’t know if Brady is the clear lead guy and how many touches he gets. The matchup vs. San Diego St is a tough one, too. | |||||||
Also Consider:
- Xavier Williams -- Kent State ($4,500 DK / $6,400 FD)
- B.J. Daniels -- UTSA ($3,000 DK / $5,500 FD)
WIDE RECEIVERS
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG | |
| Dante Cephas | KENT | WYO | 7200 | 19.65 | 9200 | 15.92 | |
| If playing Crum, then Cephas is the top Kent St receiver to pair in cash or GPP. As the clear No. 1 pass-catcher in this high-scoring offense, his floor/ceiling combo is tops on a short slate without many high-end receivers challenging him. You can basically pencil Cephas in for 20+ DK points with plenty of upside for more. | |||||||
| Isaiah Neyor | WYO | KENT | 6900 | 16.55 | 9000 | 15.20 | |
| While the Wyoming offense doesn’t pass often, it’s usually Neyor scoring the TDs and putting up yardage when they do go to the air. He’s scored in five straight games with 12 total TDs on the year at this point - not to mention a pair of games with 125 yards. This matchup vs. Kent St’s poor pass defense is very favorable and it’s hard to imagine Neyor not returning value even at expensive tags. | |||||||
| Jesse Matthews | SDSU | UTSA | 6300 | 11.72 | 7300 | 10.17 | |
| After being quiet for much of the season, Matthews went off at the end of the year with 34, 31 and 22 DK over the final three games. He has at least eight catches in each of those outings and totaled five TDs and 290 yards over the three-week span. He’s clearly a favorite target of both SDSU QBs and should be busy in this bowl game despite the tough matchup on paper. | |||||||
| Keshunn Abram | KENT | LIB | 5300 | 10.58 | 6700 | 8.97 | |
| There are a number of Kent State receivers worth looking at, and Abram is the second-best option behind Cephas. He’s been a bit inconsistent DFS-wise this season, but the ceiling is there for a guy that went off for nearly 30 DK two games ago. If stacking the Kent St offense, Abram would be a guy to get in there. | |||||||
| De'Corian Clark | UTSA | SDSU | 4600 | 13.25 | 7000 | 10.38 | |
| Though Zakhari Franklin is the headliner in UTSA’s receiving corps, Clark is an interesting cheap option who’s shown upside at different times this season. The San Diego St defense could focus more on Franklin in this game and leave Clark or Joshua Cephas open more often. Both are solid values, but Clark gets the slight bump for me. | |||||||
| Joshua Cobbs | WYO | KENT | 3800 | 5.18 | 5500 | 4.16 | |
| Everyone loves a dirt cheap play on a short slate like this one, so let’s again target against the terrible Kent State pass defense. Though Neyor leads the way for Wyoming’s pass-catchers, Cobbs has been a bit more involved lately than previously this season. He combined for 10 catches, 107 yards and a TD over the final two games and seems to have built a rapport with Levi Williams. Hopefully that carries over to this bowl game! | |||||||
