QUARTERBACKS

Drake Maye (North Carolina) vs. PITT ($7.9K DK/$11.7K FD)

Maye's dual-threat skills have led the #21 ranked Tar Heels to a 6-1 overall record and a 3-0 start in ACC play. He enters tonight as the national leader in total offense (380.1 yards per game), third in passing efficiency (184.8), passing yards (326.1), and second in touchdown passes (24). The redshirt freshman has completed 70% of his passes for 2,283 yards and 24 touchdowns with only three picks plus he has run for a team-best 378 yards rushing and three scores. Maye is at home as a three-point favorite in the second-highest scoring matchup of the night against Pitt- lock him in in GPPs and Cash games.

Hendon Hooker (Tennessee) vs. UK ($7.8K DK/$11.0K FD)

Hooker is a Heisman favorite, and we may see a shootout tonight in this SEC matchup against Will Levis and Kentucky. Last season’s game between these two saw plenty of offensive fireworks with the Vols winning 45-42. Hooker was 15-of-20 for 316 yards and four TDs while. Levis played one of the best games of his college career, accounting for 419 yards (372 in the air) and five touchdowns (three in the air). Tennessee leads the nation in total offense (571.7 yards per game) and scoring offense (50.1 points per game) and is second in yards per play (7.51). Hooker is a top GPP play of this slate as a pivot off Maye in tournaments.

Conner Weigman (Texas A&M) vs. MISS ($4.5K DK/$6.6K FD)

A&M fans get their wish tonight as true freshman Weigman finally gets the start. He was a five-star and rated as the #2 ranked QB in the country coming out of high school and the #5 player in Texas. He saw his first game action last week against South Carolina after Haynes King injured his throwing shoulder in the fourth quarter and completed 8 of 15 passes for 91 yards. The Aggies' second-highest-rated quarterback to commit to the program since 2000 is the bare minimum on DraftKings and makes for an interesting punt play. It is a bad offense but the kid has some dual threat and I may actually take a shot on him in Cash and tournaments because it will not take much to hit value at $4.5K.

Other Quarterbacks to Consider

JJ McCarthy – MICH ($6.0K DK/$7.5K FD) Cheap and offers some dual-threat plus 70% completion in each of the last 3 games

Jayden de Laura – ARIZ ($7.0K DK/$9.8K FD) My favorite pivot off of Hooker/Maye; has 400 passing yards in 3 of the last 4 games

Caleb Williams – USC ($9.8K DK/$11.2K FD) GPP-only due to high price but should have a huge game

Behren Morton- TTU ($6.8K DK/$10.0K FD) Top value GPP

RUNNING BACKS

Travis Dye (Southern California) @ ARIZ ($7.8K DK/$9.8K FD)

USC WR Jordan Addison sustained a leg injury in the third quarter of last week’s 43-42 loss at Utah. If he sits this one out, Dye could be asked to carry even more of the load against Arizona. The Oregon transfer has been a key part of a Trojan offense that is tied for third in the Pac-12 in scoring (40.4 ppg) and is fourth in total (475.3 ypg) offense. He is second in the conference in rushing (647 yds.) and is tied with Addison for the team in touchdowns with seven. In a running game averaging 182.1 yards per game on the ground, Dye averages 92.4 yards a game, which is more than half of the team’s rush total. Arizona has really struggled against the run, giving up 207.4 yards per game (121st nationally), along with 20 rushing touchdowns (T-126th), which makes Dye one of the top RB plays on the slate.

Israel Abanikanda (Pittsburgh) @ UNC ($7.7K DK/$9.9K FD)

Abanikanda is a beast. He has 157 carries for 959 rushing yards (6.1 yards per carry) and 14 total touchdowns on the season- which is tied for first nationally. The junior has eclipsed 100 yards in five of seven games this season and now ranks fourth in the country in rushing. He broke Tony Dorsett's single-game school rushing record a couple of weeks ago when he ran for 320 yards and six touchdowns in a 45-29 victory over Virginia Tech and now faces a North Carolina rush defense that is allowing an average of 32.43 points per game and 186.3 yards on the ground.

Khalan Laborn (Marshall) vs. C-C ($6.3K DK/$10.0K FD)

Laborn, a sixth-year transfer out of Florida State has already passed the 1,000-yard milestone after just seven games in his first year at Marshall- beating the previous record of eight games by Devon Johnson (2014) and Ahmad Bradshaw (2006). He has run for at least 100 yards in every game this season and has gone over 150 four times which included a 191-yard day against Gardner-Webb. This is a clear bell cow that has been the best running back in the Sun Belt and one of the best runners in all of FBS where he is second with 1002 rushing yards and tied for second in rushing touchdowns with 12. At this price, Laborn is the top point per dollar play on tonight’s slate.

Caleb Hood (North Carolina) vs. PITT ($3.0K DK/$6.4K FD)

Despite dealing with injuries early in the season, Hood now sits at the top of UNC's running back depth chart and is expected to make his fourth straight start tonight against Pittsburgh.

The 5-foot-11, 225-pounder from Rockingham has been an important part of the Tar Heel offense running and catching the football during those starts, piling up 154 yards rushing and 82 receiving. At the bare minimum price of $3.0K on DraftKings Hood is the top value at the running back position but still, a GPP play only

Other Running Backs to Consider

Blake Corum – MICH ($7.9K DK/$10.6K FD) Incredible RB slate- Corum in play all formats

DeWayne McBride- UAB ($8.5K DK) Deebo is the top high-priced leverage GPP

Xazavarian Valladay- ASU ($6.7K DK/$9.2K FD) see Corum above

Richard Reese- BAY ($5.9K DK/$9.0K FD) 2nd among all freshmen in TDs (9) and yards (643)

Devon Achane- TA&M ($6.0K DK/$8.9K FD) Slate is filled with great RBs- 70% of teams backfield share and Achanes cheap price makes him an attractive cash play on both sites

Quinshon Judkins- MISS ($6.8K DK/$9.4K FD)

Jaylen Wright- TENN ($4.2K DK$5.7K FD)

Jonah Coleman- ARIZ ($4.6K DK/$5.0K FD) Saw bulk of carries last week- nice price for freshman and a punt GPP

WIDE RECEIVERS

Mario Williams (Southern California) @ ARIZ ($6.8K DK/$7.7K FD)

If Jordan Addison is out tonight the USC offense and Caleb Williams will turn to Mario Williams more than usual. Williams has been the WR2 for most of the season, he’s still been one of the top receivers in the Pac-12 as he leads the conference in yards per reception (18.96) and ranks ninth in receiving yards (493). He has 26 receptions for 493 yards and four touchdowns in seven games and tonight, he gets to face a leaky Arizona secondary- a monster game could be in the cards for Mario Williams.

Jared Wayne (Pittsburgh) @ UNC ($5.5K DK/$6.7K FD)

Wayne is on his way to a career season with 411 yards receiving and 25 receptions, yet he is still averaging only 4.2 catches per game. He is still a big play guy and in a solid spot tonight against a UNC defense that is allowing 290.0 yards in the air per game. With 5.5 targets and 68.5 yards per game, Wayne is still Kedon Slovis’ main weapon plus we know points will be scored in a contest with a 65.5 total so play the Panther WR comfortably in cash games.

Evan Stewart (Texas A&M) vs. MISS ($4.6K DK/$6.2K FD)

Stewart has taken over as alpha receiver with Ainias Smith injured. The problem is that he is still priced like a WR3.  Stewart has caught 19 passes for 249 yards over the last three games and is averaging 9.0 targets and 13.2 DK fantasy point per game on the season. With Chris Marshall (WR3) suspended we should even see more action from Stewart (26 targets over his last two games) and WR2 Moose Muhammed III. Now if Stewart scores a touchdown at this price that will be icing on the cake.

Jared Brown (Coastal Carolina) @ MRSHL ($4.3K DK)

The Coastal Carolina passing game is led by alpha Sam Pinckney and Brown as they have combined for 72 catches for 1,1288 yards and six touchdowns. Brown is a steal here at $4.3K on DraftKings with double-digit fantasy point games in five of his last six games. He is averaging 5.4 targets and 4.0 receptions for 80.7 receiving yards per game to go along with five touchdowns and a solid 18.1 DK fantasy point average on the season. Brown is arguably the team’s best receiver now, especially with all five of his receiving touchdowns coming in the last four games.

Other Wide Receivers to Consider

Josh Downs – UNC ($8.0K DK/$9.2K FD) Maye’s main target

Jacob Cowing- ARIZ ($7.8K DK/$9.2K FD) leads the team with 53 receptions

Ronnie Bell- MICH ($5.8K DK/$7.0K FD)

Xavier White- TTU ($4.6K DK/$7.1K FD)  My top Cash value- slot guy has been effective

Dorain Singer- ARIZ ($5.9K DK/$7.6K FD) 3rd in Pac-12 with 86 yards per game

Antoine Green- UNC ($3.8K DK/$8.9K FD) Clear WR2 at UNC now- 4 TDs in 4 games

Luke Schoonmaker- MICH ($3.7K DK/$5.0K FD)

Brenden Rice – USC ($3.1K DK/$5.3K FD) Popular punt play- on the field a lot

Terrell Bynum- USC ($3.0K DK/$4.5K FD)
