Tommy Kuhse (Saint Mary’s) – OVER 12.5 Points

This 12.5 points projection may seem a bit high when you consider Tommy Kuhse is averaging just 11.4 PPG this season. However, the Saint Mary’s senior point guard has been much more active offensively over the past month and he’s playing with a ton of confidence right now. Kuhse has scored at least 13 points in six of the last seven games and he’s averaging 16.6 PPG over this span. Tonight he gets a nice pace-boost matchup vs. Santa Clara, an opponent he scored 16 and 17 points off of in the two regular-season meetings. This line is a point or two too low based on how good Kuhse has been lately.

Andrew Nembhard (Gonzaga) – OVER 21.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

If you look at Andrew Nembhard’s season-long averages, this 21.5 projection for combined points, rebounds and assists seems reasonable considering he’s averaging 20.1 PRA overall. However, the Gonzaga point guard has picked up his production over the last couple of weeks heading into this West Coast Conference tournament and the upcoming NCAA bracket. Nembhard has at least 22 PRA in four of the last five games and seven of the past nine. Those two outliers were last time out against an elite-level Saint Mary’s defense in a low-scoring game and in a 38-point blowout over Pacific where he rested in the second half. Tonight’s higher-scoring, faster-paced matchup vs. San Francisco should allow Nembhard to fill up the stat sheet while the opponent keeps it competitive enough. He had 27 and 21 PRA in the two regular-season meetings with the Dons.

Rocky Kreuser (North Dakota State) – OVER 1.5 3-PT Made

Even though Rocky Kreuser is North Dakota State’s center, he still shoots a ton of three-pointers and is a legit threat from deep. Kreuser is the team’s most active perimeter shooter at 4.7 attempts per game, and he drained 40.7% of his three’s during league play this season. He’s made multiple three-pointers in four of the last five games and had three makes in both of the regular-season matchups vs. tonight’s opponent, Oral Roberts. This Summit League semifinal tilt presents a pace-boost for Kreuser and North Dakota State with a 151 over/under.
