OVER 27.5 Pts-Rebs-Asts
Williams has been on a heater and no reason to think it won’t continue tonight in the opening round of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament against Southeast Missouri State. Over his last six games, the 6-10 center is averaging 25.7 points with 7.8 rebounds per game including 23 points, eight rebounds, and two assists (33 PRA) against this same SEMO team last Saturday.
This is the lock of the night as SEMO has one of the worst defenses in the nation (#281/106.99) yet runs at the 23rd ranked pace. Their offensive rebounding percentage is only 25.8% (#254) and they can get pushed around inside allowing a 2-point percentage of 52.6. Williams is shooting 55% from the field (22-of-40) and 50% from beyond the arc (5-of-10). It’s college basketball and nothing can be called a lock, but this is as close to it gets tonight with the 27.5 PRA.
OVER 2.5 3-PT Made
Barcello tapped into his Damian Lillard impression during his final BYU home game last week. After dropping a step back three he stared at the crowd and gave a classic “Dame Time” hand gesture pointing towards his wrist. The senior guard is one of the all-time greats in BYU program history with a career 43.9% from beyond the arc and is second in the West Coast Conference (WCC) this season with a 2.9 3-PT made per game average.
Tonight, Barcello and BYU face Loyola-Marymount in the second round of the WCC Conference Tournament. Loyola is one of the worst teams in the country defending the three- allowing a 33% rate (302nd). Barcello is averaging six three-point attempts per game, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he launches close to double-digit shots tonight from beyond the arc. Take the experience of Barcello tonight and the over on this prop.
