Hunter Maldonado, Wyoming – OVER 38.1 Fantasy Score
Wyoming’s offensive attack is essentially a two-headed monster with center Graham Ike and point guard Hunter Maldonado leading the way. In tonight’s matchup, expect Maldonado to be filling up the stat sheet and taking on a bigger role with Ike having to deal with Colorado State’s David Roddy down low. At 6-foot-7, Maldonado is a unique build running the point and his bigger frame allows him to rack up assists and rebounds in addition to all the real points he scores with heavy shot volume. This 38.1 over/under line is a bit low considering the senior is averaging 19.2 PPG, 7.3 APG and 6.1 RPG over the past ten contests and has 40+ fantasy points in six of the last seven.
Koby McEwan, Weber State – OVER 22.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
After transferring over from Marquette in the offseason, McEwan is now one of the best players in the Big Sky conference as Weber State’s headliner. The senior combo guard is averaging 19.5 PPG and 26.5 PRA over the past eight conference games. He’s also gone over 22.5 PRA in six of the last eight contests in a high-usage role for Weber State. This number seems a bit low with McEwan having tons of opportunities to stuff the stat sheet tonight in a fast-paced 156.5 game total vs. Eastern Washington.
Paul Atkinson, Notre Dame – UNDER 6.0 Rebounds
Even though getting to six rebounds doesn’t seem like a lot for a 6-foot-9 big man, the boards will be tough to come by for Paul Atkinson tonight. This matchup vs. Duke is brutal with Paolo Banchero and Mark Williams usually dominating the glass on both ends. Then there’s Wendell Moore, AJ Griffin and Theo John crashing the boards plenty as well. Atkinson will more than likely be at a physical and athletic disadvantage tonight - which will cost him some rebounds. He’s gone under six boards in four of the last six games and should be more in the 4-5 range tonight.
