Smith and the Wolfpack get an insanely high-tempo game at home against ACC rival North Carolina. NC State has a decent offense and a bad defense that was on full show in the last matchup between these two teams earlier in the season, when UNC won 100-80.

In that last game between these two teams, Smith had the greatest game of his young collegiate career when he scored 31 points on 10-21 shooting. Those 31 points were nearly half of NC State’s total points, and the same high tempo is expected today. Allen may not be the Alpha that he was at Utah, but he is the Longhorn’s best all-around player. His numbers are down a bit after a solid three-year career for the Utes, but his Texas team is significantly better. 

He has started all 27 of Texas’ games and is averaging nearly 30 minutes as he leads the team in scoring (11.7 ppg), rebounding (6.4 RPG), and steals (32). Allen is carrying a 27.77% usage rate over the last five games, while averaging 15 points as he gets better each game. Take the over today as Allen and the Horns should secure a road win over West Virginia while readying themselves for the Big-12 tournament.
