Jermaine Samuels (Villanova) – OVER 16.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

There’s no question that Justin Moore and Collin Gillespie are the alpha playmakers for Villanova this season. Jermaine Samuels, though, is a key senior leader for the squad and he’ll need to step up tonight if the Wildcats want to snag a road win over Providence. So let’s target Samuels’ combined points, rebounds and assists with this pick. This 16.5 number seems a touch too low, considering the Nova power forward just scored 16 points alone in the last game and had 13 points the game before. He’s put up 17+ PRA in six of the last nine contests, with 15 and 16 PRA in two others. Foul trouble is the only thing that would prevent Samuels from eclipsing this 16.5 PRA line.

Matthew Cleveland (Florida State) – OVER 10.5 Points

By default, Matthew Cleveland will likely be asked to do a ton on the offensive end tonight with Florida State dealing with so many injuries. We already know the Seminoles are currently down two senior starters with Anthony Polite out indefinitely and Malik Osborne lost for the season. In addition, Caleb Mills is a big question mark to play after he suffered an ankle injury on Saturday. So, we have Cleveland probably taking on a ton of shot volume and offensive responsibility in this must-win game at home vs. Clemson. The Florida State freshman has scored 13, 12 and 11 points the last three games while moving into the starting lineup with Polite out. If Mills is also sidelined tonight, then Cleveland should go over 10.5 points for a fourth straight.

Jarron Coleman (Missouri) – OVER 9.5 Points

It’s understandable to see Coleman’s points line set at 9.5, considering he’s averaging right at 9.5 PPG this season and 9.8 PPG over the past ten. Admittedly, there aren’t great vibes surrounding Coleman after he went scoreless on Saturday and had just four points the game prior. Before these two recent duds, though, Coleman had scored 10+ points in five straight and 10 of the previous 11 games. One of those came against Arkansas (tonight’s opponent) in the first meeting when Coleman scored 11 points despite Mizzou totaling just 43 on the scoreboard. This is a notable pace-boost matchup vs. the Razorbacks and Coleman should get to double-figures once again in his high-usage point guard role.
