Jermaine Samuels (Villanova) – OVER 20.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
After playing in the shadow of Collin Gillespie and Justin Moore all season, Jermaine Samuels has turned it on in the postseason. The senior forward is averaging 18 points and eight rebounds per game in the first three NCAA Tournament contests and had at least 25 PRA in each. Plus, he had 21 points and 12 rebounds in the Big East semis vs. UConn. Even though Samuels is still a third offensive option behind Gillespie and Moore, he’s very important to Villanova’s success in a tight rotation without much contribution from the bench. Though this will be lower-scoring game overall, Houston’s tough perimeter defense on Gillespie/Moore should force Samuels to continue his bigger offensive role.
Jeremy Roach (Duke) – OVER 17.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
Where would Duke be without Jeremy Roach? The sophomore point guard has been much more involved offensively during the NCAA Tournament while Trevor Keels, AJ Griffin and Wendell Moore struggle to consistently provide scoring. Paolo Banchero is the team’s headliner, but Roach is playing a key role with a recent move into the starting lineup while hitting big shots in the last couple games. He’s scored 12, 15 and 15 points in the three tourney contests and put up at least 18 PRA in each – highlighted by 24 PRA vs. Texas Tech last game. Tonight, Duke gets a pace-boost vs. Arkansas and it should allow Roach to rack up stats in a higher-scoring environment.
Others to Consider:
- Fabian White Jr. (Houston) – UNDER 19.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
- Eric Dixon (Villanova) – UNDER 7.5 Points
- Jamal Shead (Houston) – OVER 11.5 Points
- Wendell Moore Jr. (Duke) – UNDER 4.0 Assists
