CBB DFS TOP GUARDS

Jalen Pickett - Penn State vs. Michigan ($9.1K DK)

Pickett is one of the toughest matchups in the country with three DFS fifty burgers under his belt so far this season. On the year he is averaging 17.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.9 assists and no one else in the country is dishing it, rebounding it, and scoring it like Pickett. He is the #7 overall offensive player in the nation according to KenPom with a 29.4% usage, 27.2% shooting, 41.6% assist rate (third). We should at least see 40 DKFP or more from Pickett today who is the engine of head coach Micah Shrewberry’s second-season turnaround team.

Tyler Harris - South Florida @ SMU ($7.3K)

Harris came to South Florida by way of Memphis last spring for his fifth and final season of eligibility (he also spent one year at Iowa State, never missing a game in his collegiate career). The senior guard quickly became the offensive leader for the Bulls, averaging 16.5 points per game, and is coming off a career game last weekend when he exploded against intra-state rival UCF for 33 points, six rebounds, and seven assists (57 DKFP). With a 26.8% usage and 28.8% shot rate Harris is reasonably priced today as the leader of the Bulls offense in the third highest-scoring game of the slate per Vegas.

Other Top CBB DFS Guards

  • Kendric Davis - Memphis ($10.3K) The Pickett GPP pivot. 31.3% usage/29.7% shot rate for the AAC leading scorer (21.3 PPG)
  • Zhuric Phelps - SMU ($7.8K) Member of the rare 30/30 Club (32.5% usage/35.5% shot). Phelps or Harris should be in your main lineup at these prices.
  • Craig Porter - Wichita State ($8.7K) He is not cheap but with leading scorer and point guard Javon Small out, Porter will need to pick up the slack at guard (10.3 PPG/5.7 RPG last five games).
  • Brandon Murray - Georgetown ($7.0K) LSU transfer has met expectations on a high-scoring but bad Georgetown team. 13.7 PPG/24.3 DKFP last five games
  • Sam Griffin - Tulsa ($6.1K) Favorite mid-range play with a 26.9% usage/32.5% shot rate and gets a pace-up game with Memphis. Will be popular at this price.

CBB DFS TOP GUARD VALUE

AJ Storr - St. John’s vs. Georgetown ($4.7K)

Four-star freshman AJ Storr out of IMG Academy in Bradenton led a highly-touted incoming class at St. John’s this fall and is now getting his chance at major playing time with Montez Mathis shelved. He is coming off a huge game against Creighton where he had his career-best scoring total even before the first half ended. He ended up with 23 points (9/16 shooting), two rebounds, and two assists over a season-high 32 minutes. His price is rising but it is still at sub-$5K which firmly puts him in play as the top value guard of the slate.

Other Top Guard Values

  • RJ Felton - East Carolina ($5.9K) With Javon Small OUT and Wynston Tabb leaving the team, Felton has been playing 30+ minutes and coming off a 23-point game (37 DKFP) against Tulsa. He looks for his shot early and often and there is a good chance he is in my main or alternate lineup.
  • Joey Baker - Michigan ($4.0K) If Jett Howard (GTD) is out, Baker slides in as a cash value play. He played 29 minutes against Purdue (19 DKFP on 11 real points).
  • Rafael Pinzon - St. John’s ($3.9K) Storr has separated himself from Pinzon in playing time, but this is still a GPP value play with upside.
  • Kalbi LaCount - East Carolina ($3.9K) Freshman has 24+ DKFP in two of his last three games while playing 20+ minutes.
  • Myles Dread G/F- Penn State ($4.1K) 12.2 DKFP in 20 minutes over last five games.

TOP CBB DFS FORWARDS

Deandre Williams - Memphis @ Tulsa ($9.5K)

Usually, this spot is reserved for top Player of the Year candidate Zach Edey of Purdue but Williams has been a beast at Memphis and is $900 cheaper on today’s slate. He is coming off being named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week where he averaged 27.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in 35.1 minutes per game against Wichita State and Cincinnati and then responded with another big game at home against SMU where he put up 13 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Tulsa has no answer to Williams and Kendric Davis today in a pace-up as Memphis comes in with the slates second highest game total of 83 points.

Brandon Johnson – East Carolina vs. Wichita State ($6.9K)

In the absence of Javon Small, ECU has relied heavily on the sophomore duo of forward Johnson and value guard RJ Felton. On Tuesday ECU snapped a five-game skid as both players combined to score 57 of their 76 points against Tulsa. Now they face rival Wichita State where almost a month ago these same two teams squared off and the Pirates rode out of Wichita with their first ever victory at Koch Arena as Johnson scored 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds (29 DKFP). This price is just too cheap for Brandon Johnson who plays nearly every minute of the game and averages a near double-double over his last five games with 12.8 PPG and 9.0 RPG. With 30+ DKFP in three of his last five and the second leading rebounder in all of the AAC (9.0 RPG/11.4 per 40) lock Johnson in as the top mid-priced play of the slate.

Other Top Forwards

  • Zach Edey - Purdue ($10.4K) National POY candidate put up 58 DKFP in the first meeting between these two teams. If you have the funds, Edey is still the top play of the day.
  • Hunter Dickinson - Michigan ($8.8K) PSU interior is soft and Dickinson is back to being a beast with 17.4 PPG and 9.3 RPG with a 28% usage rate over his last five games.
  • Joel Soriano - St. John’s ($9.2K) Most improved player in the nation is now a Big East star as he averages a double-double over his last five games with 18.6 PPG and 11.6 RPG.
  • Kris Murray - Iowa ($8.9K) Lowest price on Murray since November due to a mediocre 27 DKFP game against Michigan State. He’s always a threat to nuke the slate.
  • Bryant Selebangue - Tulsa ($7.4K) Not a household name but he sure can play with 49, 30, and 34 DKFP in his last three games plus leads the AAC in rebounding (9.3 RPG and 11.9 per 40); Viktor Lahkin of Cincinnati torched this same Memphis interior last Sunday for 22 points and 10 rebounds.
  • David Jones - St. John’s ($6.2K) Lowest price point of the season and is due for a blow-up game after playing 27 minutes on Wednesday night. He has the talent to smash the slate.
  • James Rojas ($6.5K) and Kenny Pohto ($7.0K) East Carolina - Both get a juicy matchup against the ECU interior with Rojas being the safer play and Pohto with a higher ceiling (43 DKFP in last game between these two teams).

CBB DFS TOP FORWARD VALUE

Ludgy Debaut - East Carolina vs. Wichita State ($3.6K)

Value is lacking at forward on today’s slate but seven-foot Ludgy Debaut, the team’s starting center in years past, is an interesting play. Debaut had lost the starting job to freshman big man Ezra Ausar, who started conference play on a little heater, but he has worked himself back in favor with the coaching staff. Debaut has now started the last two games and played over 20 minutes in each with a 13 DKFP average. At this price ($3.6K) you can do much worse than a veteran player that is in the starting lineup.

Other Top Forward Values

  • Tim Dalger - Tulsa ($5.5K) 17.9% defensive rebound rate with 36 DKFP and 24 DKFP over the last two games.
  • Keyshawn Bryant - South Florida ($5.7K) One of the most volatile players in the nation as he can put up 30 DKFP and help you win a GPP or 10 DKFP and sink your lineup.
  • O’Mar Stanley - St. Johns ($3.2K) Possible 4-5X in a pace up game.
  • Corey Walker Jr.- South Florida ($4.8K) 24 and 30 DKFP last two games.
