CBB DFS Top Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
Adam FlaglerBAYKU770031.03
Both Adam Flagler and Keyontae George are in play for this marquee matchup with Kansas. George has the higher upside with the potential to go off for 20-30 points scored and 40+ DK. Flagler provides a slightly safer floor, especially against a tougher opponent like KU, and is a tad cheaper for likely similar DFS production to George. Both are at discounted prices compared to recent weeks.
Jamal Mashburn Jr.UNMNEV720027.49
With New Mexico on the slate, we have to consider both Jaelen House and Jamal Mashburn as the team’s offensive catalysts in a tough road matchup tonight. Mashburn should be more popular because he’s notably cheaper for similar or better DFS production. He’s scored at least 19 points in eight straight games and is averaging 20 PPG and 29 DK over the past 10 contests. Keep in mind, though, that he’s a bit scoring-dependent for his DFS points.
Kenan BlackshearNEVUNM700029.84
Compared to other teams’ top offensive players tonight, Blackshear is a really good bargain and could be chalky at just 7k flat. Blackshear has a 32% usage rate and 30% shot rate during conference play while operating as Nevada’s point-forward. Though he doesn’t always perform like it, we should see him at 30 DK or so tonight in a pace-boost matchup at home with his locked-in role. Consider Blackshear a core play in cash.
Gradey DickKUBAY690028.26
Dick is priced back under 7k after “only” having 20 DK last time out. Still, we know he has the upside to go for 15-20 points scored and 30-35 DK at his best. He can have plenty of success against a shaky defensive team in Baylor tonight. Baylor doesn't have the wing defenders to guard all of Wilson, Dick, and Adams, so it bodes well for one or all to have good games. Plus, the freshman has been good on the road lately with 37, 29, 30, and 34 DK in the last four road contests.

Also Consider:

  • Keyontae George – Baylor ($8100) – GPP
  • Sean Pedulla – Virginia Tech ($7300) – GPP

Jarod LucasNEVUNM580023.15
Nevada gets a pace-boost tonight, so it gives Lucas more upside than normal. Though his DFS production tends to be more scoring-dependent than we’d like, the ceiling for 20+ points and 30+ DK is possible in this uptempo environment. This price tag is pretty affordable for the possible 25-30 DK if it means we can spend up somewhere else.
Hunter CattoorVTDUKE550020.05
After missing a month due to injury, Cattoor is back for Virginia Tech and he’s put up 27 and 17 DK in the past two games while logging 30+ minutes in both. Cattoor has moved right back into his heavy starter minutes with VT going with a tight rotation. That locks him into a solid cash floor for DFS as he provides production in multiple stat categories.
Jeremy RoachDUKEVT510021.97
Roach returned from injury on Saturday to put up 14 points, four assists, and 24 DK off the bench for Duke. We’ll see if he moves back into the starting lineup tonight, but Roach should still have a big role even if he’s a bench option again. He logged 27 minutes, took 10 shots, and had a 25% usage rate while back running the point for Duke. This is too cheap and a season-low price tag for Roach, so expect him to be chalky.

Also Consider:

  • LJ Cryer – Baylor ($5700) – GPP
  • Tyrese Proctor – Duke ($5300) – Cash
  • Donovan Dent – New Mexico ($4400) – GPP

Jalen WilsonKUBAY960039.41
Even with Kansas losing the past two games, Wilson has been awesome in defeat. He’s scored 38 and 30 points with 54 and 42 DK, respectively, in these past two contests. Wilson is now averaging 20.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 37 DK over the past 10 games and is always a lock for a 30+ DK performance. He’s mighty expensive tonight, but you’re paying for the sure thing. Plus, he should have plenty of success offensively against the Big 12’s worst defense in Baylor.
Kyle FilipowskiDUKEVT890032.74
Filipowski has been good all season for Duke but he’s picked it up the last few games. The freshman big man has stat lines of 28 points-15 rebounds-53 DK, 18-14-37, and 17-14-45 in the past three contests. The hot streak has resulted in a huge price increase, but we still have to consider him in all formats on this small slate. If choosing between him and Wilson, consider Filipowski more risky in cash.
Morris UdezeUNMNEV780030.66
If you want to be contrarian and completely fade Wilson and Filipowski, then look at Udeze as your pay-up forward. The New Mexico big man has the DFS upside for 40+ DK at his best when he’s dominating inside as a post scorer and rebounder. Unfortunately he’s not consistent offensively or on the boards to trust in cash lineups. But, the GPP upside is there and he’ll likely go overlooked compared to Wilson, Filipowski and other high-priced players tonight.

Also Consider:

  • Grant Basile – Virginia Tech ($7100) – GPP

KJ Adams Jr.KUBAY620022.41
Adams is coming off of a bad game on Saturday so we get him at a slight discount tonight. We should take advantage while we can because Adams will likely go for 15+ points and 25-30 DK tonight before his price tag rises again. Baylor actually has the Big 12's worst defensive efficiency this season and is especially poor inside defensively. That plays right into Adams’ skillset as an interior scorer.
Will BakerNEVUNM560021.49
Baker is a cheap way to get exposure to Nevada’s pace-boost matchup vs New Mexico. The 7-footer has been very up-and-down in real life and DFS this season, but we’ve seen the upside of 15-25 points and 30 DK or so at multiple times. Interestingly, Baker’s 30.4% shot rate when on the floor actually leads the team in conference play and his 27% usage rate trails only Kenan Blackshear. The big man is a big part of Nevada’s offense when he stays out of foul trouble and this is a good matchup against UNM’s conference-worst two-point defense.
Dariq WhiteheadDUKEVT520014.65
Since Whitehead “only” had 10 points and 19 DK last game, we get him at a notable discount compared to his 6k level of late. This is a little too cheap for the talented freshman and he presents some great value for the likely 5x production or so. There aren’t many good values at forward tonight, so Whitehead stands out as one of the better cheaper options.

Also Consider:

  • Nick Davidson – Nevada ($5400) – Cash/GPP
  • Dereck Lively – Duke ($4700) – GPP
  • Flo Thamba – Baylor ($4600) – GPP
  • Caleb Lohner – Baylor ($3300) – GPP
