College Basketball CBB DFS Top Plays 1/19
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Kendric Davis | MEM | WICH | 9400 | 38.42 |
| If Memphis is on the slate, then Davis is always an option as one of the best scoring guards in college basketball. The expensive price tag puts him more into GPP territory tonight, but we know the DFS ceiling is there. He’s gone for at least 54 DK in two of the last four games, 40+ DK in six of the last nine, and is averaging 23 PPG over the past 10 contests. It’s a pace-down spot for Davis, but he can still smash. | ||||
| Drew Peterson | USC | ARIZ | 8200 | 32.24 |
| In a big pace-boost spot, we can look at both Drew Peterson and Boogie Ellis as top plays tonight in a high-scoring matchup with Arizona. Peterson is a great cash play for his stat-stuffing production and safe DFS floor of 30 DK or so. We know he’ll produce stats in multiple categories and the offensive upside gets raised in this uptempo environment. | ||||
| Matthew Mayer | IL | IU | 7700 | 24.17 |
| Illinois is starting to click now and Mayer is a big reason why. He’s stepped into a much bigger offensive role and is clearly playing with more confidence than earlier in the season, especially with Skyy Clark gone. Mayer has scored 19 points in back-to-back games coming into tonight with 39 and 41 DK in those outings. The price tag has gone up, but he’s still a great GPP play in this uptempo matchup with Indiana. | ||||
| Tyger Campbell | UCLA | ASU | 7100 | 25.89 |
| If looking to target one of UCLA’s top players tonight, Campbell is considerably cheaper than both Jaime Jaquez and Jaylen Clark. On that note, Adem Bona is also a solid play. As for Campbell, though, we’ll gladly take his regular 25-30 DK production and a high floor of DFS value for this price. Plus, the UCLA point guard has tended to play a bit better on the road this season. | ||||
| Fletcher Loyer | PUR | MINN | 6300 | 21.1 |
| Loyer has been a risky high-upside GPP play for most of this season, but he’s been hot lately and could easily smash this price tag. The Purdue freshman has scored 17, 27, and 17 points over the past three games and has 26, 33, and 28 DK over those outings. Loyer is also shooting 51% from three over the last five outings. We saw Loyer smash Minnesota for 20 points and 36 DK in this season’s first meeting, so the upside for a big game in this matchup is there. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Craig Porter Jr. – Wichita State ($7900) – GPP
- Jahmir Young – Maryland ($7800) – GPP
- Jalen Hood-Schifino – Indiana ($7500) – Cash
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Courtney Ramey | ARIZ | USC | 5600 | 22.5 |
| Ramey was a good bargain for us on Saturday when he put up 26 DK at $4900. Even with this slight price increase, he’s still too cheap at under 6k for the likely 25-30 DFS production. Ramey can stuff the stat sheet in multiple ways for a good cash floor and he has three-point upside tonight. USC has a poor perimeter defense and Ramey is Arizona’s top deep-ball shooter in conference play. | ||||
| Noah Williams | UW | COL | 5600 | 16.46 |
| Despite scoring 22 points and 30 DK last game, Williams is priced back below 6k for whatever reason. DK continues to mess up his pricing, but let’s pounce on the value while we still can. Williams has now put up 22, 31, and 30 DK in three of the last four games since returning from injury taking on a bigger role running the Washington offense. He does have a complete bust performance a week ago where he only logged six minutes, but we’ll have to ignore that for now. | ||||
| Keonte Kennedy | MEM | WICH | 5100 | 14.45 |
| Kennedy started the last game for Memphis with Alex Lomax out and put up 20 DK in 27 minutes. We should see Kennedy playing a ton again tonight with Lomax sidelined and that will keep his DFS floor safe enough for a 4x return at this price tag. Even in a pace-down matchup, Kennedy should be plenty involved offensively since Memphis is without Lomax and Jayden Hardway now. | ||||
| Trey Galloway | IU | IL | 4000 | 14.75 |
| With Xavier Johnson still out, Galloway is back starting for Indiana in the past two games. He’s put up 19 and 18 DK in these two starts while continuing to see increased playing time and a bigger offensive role with Johnson out. Galloway now has at least 17 DK in each of his last three starts with Johnson sidelined. We’ll take that 4x value at this cheap price all day in a high-total matchup with Illinois. | ||||
| Koren Johnson | UW | COL | 3900 | 13.84 |
| After returning from injury last week, Johnson has scored 15 points with 30+ DK in back-to-back games coming into tonight. He’s still been coming off the bench for Washington, but the freshman logged 30 minutes last game and has shown he can be a legit part of the rotation moving forward. This sub-4k price tag is really cheap for the potential 6x value. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Jaden Akins – Michigan State ($5500) – GPP
- Jayden Epps – Illinois ($5500) – Cash
- Reese Dixon-Waters – USC ($5400) – Cash
- Braedan Carrington – Minnesota ($3500) – GPP
- Johnathan Lawson – Memphis ($3200) – GPP
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Zach Edey | PUR | MINN | 11100 | 45.53 |
| Whenever Purdue is on the slate, we’re left with the decision of whether to roster Zach Edey or not. The National POY candidate is on a ridiculous tear lately, averaging 21.7 points, 14.8 rebounds, and 47 DK over the past 10 games with two 50-burgers in the past three contests. Edey is expensive, but it’s “fade at your own risk” territory at this point. Minnesota has a poor interior defense and is a weak rebounding team. The Purdue center dominated Minnesota for 31 points, 22 rebounds, and 61 DK in this season’s first meeting. Honestly, don’t be surprised if he comes close to those numbers again tonight. | ||||
| Hunter Dickinson | MICH | UMD | 8700 | 35.02 |
| The Michigan center is always in play for DFS, but he gets a favorable matchup tonight. First off, Maryland has struggled against opposing bigs all season and Dickinson went off for 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 54 DK vs the Terps earlier this month. Plus, Dickinson has had big games against Maryland for three years running now as the Arlington, VA native gets amped up to play the school that didn’t recruit him. The discount from Edey to Dickinson could make him popular in cash. | ||||
| Oumar Ballo | ARIZ | USC | 8200 | 34.03 |
| With high-scoring Arizona on the slate, we have to consider the two big men that the Wildcats’ offense revolves around. Azuolas Tubelis and Oumar Ballo should both have good games tonight, but Ballo is over $2000 cheaper for similar DFS production. This is actually Ballo’s cheapest price tag in almost two months, so take advantage while we can for the potential 35+ DK at his best. | ||||
| Tristan da Silva | COL | UW | 7100 | 26.17 |
| Tristan da Silva is a classic boom-or-bust GPP option this season. He’s shown the DFS upside for 25-30 points and 40-50 DK, but also has some sub-20 DK outings mixed in. It’s impossible to trust in cash lineups, but fire away in GPPs! Tonight, he should benefit from playing at home because the home/road splits are pretty telling. Da Silva is averaging 19.4 PPG and 35 DK at home compared to 10.4 PPG and 18 DK on the road this season. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Trayce Jackson-Davis – Indiana ($10700) – GPP
- Keion Brooks – Washington ($8300) – Cash
- Adem Bona – UCLA ($6600) – Cash/GPP
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Jordan Geronimo | IU | IL | 5000 | 13.56 |
| Geronimo’s price tag is starting to increase, but it’s still a great bargain at 5k flat. He’s put up 22 and 28 DK in the past two games as a starter with Race Thompson out, including a double-double in the most-recent outing. Geronimo has been productive for DFS this season when given more playing time, and he should see 25-30 minutes again tonight with 25 DK points or so. | ||||
| Tyler Bilodeau | ORST | STAN | 4700 | 13.08 |
| The Oregon State freshman has become a mainstay of the playbook in recent weeks because DK refuses to price him above 5k. Even though Bilodeau “only” had 17 DK last game, he still saw 10 shot attempts after finally moving into the starting lineup. He had 18 points and 31 DK the game prior and 22+ DK in two of the previous three contests. He’s clearly one of Oregon State’s top offensive playmakers right now and his 25% shot rate leads the team in conference play. Stanford has the Pac-12’s worst defense so far and Bilodeau can take advantage to return value. | ||||
| Joshua Ola-Joseph | MINN | PUR | 3900 | 10.78 |
| Ola-Joseph has already been starting for Minnesota, but the freshman could step into more minutes and a bigger role tonight if Jamison Battle sits. It’s risky to trust in cash, but the GPP upside for 5x return or better is possible if Battle is out. Ola-Joseph has 10 points and 15 DK vs Purdue earlier this season while taking a season-high 10 shot attempts. That’s a good sign for him playing with confidence tonight at home in the rematch. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Julian Reese – Maryland ($5800) – GPP
- Maxime Raynaud – Stanford ($5600) – GPP
- Andrej Jakimovski – Washington State ($4100) – GPP
