CBB DFS Top Guards
Kendric Davis- Memphis vs. Tulane ($9.4K)
Davis, the #1 transfer in the country from last year, is coming off a 24-point , nine assists and five steal (49 DKFP) performance against USF and before that - a 14-point, 12-assist performance against Alabama State and 23 points and nine dimes in a win over Texas A&M. Over his last five Davis is averaging an eye-popping 23.6 points per game to go along with 8.2 dimes for an 11-3 Memphis squad. Wth a 30.7% usage and 29.8% shot rate Davis is in complete control of the Memphis offense right now and hasn't even started shooting the 3 as he has in the past! Watch out - a monster game is coming.
Jalen Pickett- Penn State vs. Iowa ($8.3K)
Pickett's price today is a total bargain. He has been playing at a $9-$10K level all season and just became the first Penn State payer to be named Big Ten Player of the Week since one of my all-time fav DFS players- Lamar Stevens back in 2020. Through 12 games, Pickett is averaging 16.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game. Pickett is the only player in the country averaging at least 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, and only three players since 1992 have averaged those marks for an entire season. With a 29.3% usage and 27.8% shot rate Pickett is #2 in the nation with an amazing 45.7% assist rate plus he is also leading the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (4.65). As the only player in the Big Ten to rank in the top 10 in the conference in scoring (fifth), rebounding (eighth) and assists (first) Pickett just keeps rolling and is a must-play today at home against Iowa.
Other Top Guards
Top point per $ Plays
- Zhuric Phelps- SMU ($7.5K) One of the best “guard” DFS slates of the season- can we fit Kendric/Pickett and Phelps all in our lineup? 33% usage/35.6% shot rate!!
- Bryce Hopkins G/F- Providence ($9.1K) GPP-only due to price. Averaging 40 DKFP L5 even with a 21 DKFP clunker last game
- Jalen Cook- Tulane ($7.3K) 30/30 club (30.5% usage/30.9% shot)
- Devin Carter - Providence ($6.5K) 38 DKFP avg L2
- Boogie Ellis- USC ($6.8K) 24% usage/27% shot
- Seth Lundy G/F - Penn State ($6.2K) Decent pt/$ play- 16 pts/7 rebs L5
- Khalif Battle- Temple ($6.9K) The team's shooter but is on a horrendous shooting slump- nice price if he breaks out
- Zac Nutall- SMU ($6.3K) 25.6% shot rate
CBB DFS Value Guards
Jalen Terry- DePaul vs. Providence ($5.1K)
Terry is back healthy and $5.1K is just too cheap for the DePaul guard. In his two games back he put up 24 DKFP against Creighton and then on Thursday he smoked Georgetown for 14 points, five rebounds, five dimes and a couple of steals (31 DKFP). Today he will push the pace at home against Providence in the second-highest game total of the slate (149.0).
Top point per $ value plays
- Keyon Menifield- Washington ($5.1K) 3 of last 4 at least 24 DKFP but UCLA is a tough matchup
- Jared Bynum - Providence ($5.7K) Plays 30+ mins with a 28% assist rate- 31 & 26 DKFP L2
- Andrew Funk- Penn State ($5.4K) Has settled into a 20 DKFP safe floor but not much else
- Tre White - USC ($5.6K) 4 of last 5 over 26 DKFP
- Anthony Pritchard- Tulsa ($4.2K) 4.0 assists L5- 26, 23,15 DKFP L3
- Mika Adams-Woods- Cincinnati ($5.9K) Coming off a monster game (37 DKFP) but normally a 20-24 DKFP floor
- Jahlil White- Cincinnati ($4.2K) NEWS reliant play- if Damian Dunn misses again then White becomes a cash value at this price
- Donald Carey- Maryland ($3.7K) I want to play Carey at this price (21 DKFP in 2 straight while playing 35+ mins) but he is just as capable of a single-digit FP day- shot reliant
- Dug McDaniel- Michigan ($5.1K) 30 mins plus 20 DKFP L3
- Elijah McCadden- Memphis ($3.9K)
CBB DFS Top Forwards
Mouhamed Gueye- Washington State vs. USC ($7.7K)
I think Hunter Dickinson has a huge “get right” game today and DeAndre Williams is always a favorite DFS play but if rolling the stud guards like Pickett, Davis and Phelps we need to go mid-range at forward, so enter elite rim protector Big Mo Gueye. Mo has been playing on another level as of late with back-to-back 40 burgers as his post moves just continue to develop as well as his jump shot, Against UCLA on Friday he dominated with a big boy double-double- 18 points and 18 rebounds and the game before that he put up 22 points and 12 boards. This afternoon's game with USC will be slow but that's just fine as the Trojans carry a weak 32.8% defensive rebound rate (28.9% O-Reb) which means another double-double should be on the horizon for Gueye.
Qudus Wahab- Georgetown vs. Butler ($6.6K)
The grass isn't always greener on the other side as Wahab has quickly learned after a year of struggling in the big-man dominated Big Ten last year with Maryland. So the 6-foot-11 center returned to where his collegiate career began, transferring back to Georgetown and reuniting one of the Hoyas stars from the 2021 Big east Championship run with one of the greatest centers in college basketball history in head coach Patrick Ewing. Wahab struggled a bit to start the season but has turned it on as of late, especially on Thursday night against DePaul with a 13-point/16-rebound game (39 DKFP). Over his last five games, he has put up at least 25 DKFP and averaged 11 boards in that span. You can see the confidence that Wahab is playing with now and it should continue at home against Butler today as we have two teams seeking their first Big East win of the season with a 144 point game total.
Other Top Forwards
Top point per $ Plays
- Kris Murray- Iowa ($8.9K) Didn't miss a beat in his first game back on Thursday (39 DKFP in 36 mins) - if the ball touches his hands he will shoot it
- Hunter Dickinson- Michigan ($9.2K) Won't get there in cash due to the elite guard but my gut says we will see Dick get back to his dominating ways today against UMD- hasn't had a 40 DKFP in nearly a month
- DeAndre Williams- Memphis ($8.8K) my guy is always in play - stat sheet stuffer
- Ed Croswell- Providence ($7.1K) DePaul is not good on the glass and Croswell is averaging 17.8 pts/7.2 reb over L5- Gueye/Wahab/Crowell are the top mid-range forwards today
- Seth Lundy G/F - Penn State ($6.2K) Decent pt/$ play- 16 pts/7 rebs L5
- Viktor Lahkin- Cincinnati ($6.9K) 46 and 37 DKFP L2- is turning into a star
CBB DFS Value Forwards
Jalen Thomas- Butler @ Georgetown ($3.6K)
Thomas, the 6-10 transfer from Georgia State missed the start of the season with heart issues (pulmonary embolism). Most remember him from last season when he had 12 points and nine rebounds in the March Madness game against top-ranked Gonzaga. He was one of the all-time blocked shots leaders in Georgia State history and has now played three games. On Thursday he started the game and saw his minutes rise to 31 against Providence and he did really well- 12 points with six rebounds and a couple of blocks (25 DKFP). After that performance, there is a good chance that Thomas gets rewarded with another start today and that would make him the top overall value at forward at a near-dirt minimum of $3.6K.
Top point per $ value plays
- Nick Jourdain- Temple ($4.0K) Not in love with the matchup and he has foul issues - but if we can get 30 mins out of the veteran big man we will have a 5-6X play easy- top value if Thomas doesn't start.
- Tylan Pope- Tulane ($4.2K) Was popular on Thursday but disappointed while getting in FT; may go right back to the well today - has 6X upside
- Bryson Mozone- Georgetown ($3.9K) Need to check Akoks status
