College Basketball CBB DFS Picks 2/8
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Keyonte George | BAY | OU | 8200 | 29.72 |
| George has been a volatile DFS play this season, but he brings plenty of upside with his NBA-level talent and high-usage role for Baylor. Even with his up-and-down tendencies, the freshman is still averaging 19.3 PPG and 30 DK over the past 10 contests. George struggled against Oklahoma last month but should play much better at home in this rematch. He’s scored 24, 17, and 17 points in the past three games with 32+ DK in two of the past three. George also has home splits slightly in his favor. | ||||
| Joseph Girard III | SYR | FSU | 7800 | 27.22 |
| Both Joe Girard and Judah Mintz are in play for Syracuse tonight against a weak Florida State squad in a high-total matchup. Mintz is likely safer for cash lineups, but Girard brings a ton of GPP upside when he’s making threes. That’s what we’re targeting tonight as FSU has the worst three-point defense in the ACC and Girard is Syracuse’s best and most active shooter. When he gets hot, the upside for 20+ points and 35-40 DK is there. | ||||
| Caleb Mills | FSU | SYR | 7300 | 25.74 |
| On the Florida State side of that matchup vs Syracuse, we should be looking at both Matthew Cleveland and Caleb Mills as top guards. Cleveland is always in play, but it’s tough to tell if he’ll struggle or strive against the Cuse zone defense. Mills, though, brings a solid cash floor of 25 DK or so and has tons of three-point upside vs the zone here. Mills and Darin Green should be taking plenty of threes and both can go for 20+ points and 30+ DK. | ||||
| Justin Moore | VU | DPU | 6200 | 17.83 |
| In his three games back with Villanova, Moore hasn’t yet performed like the DFS stud we saw before last year’s injury. It may take a few more games until he’s dropping 30+ DK on the regular like the past couple of seasons. Or it could be tonight at home against a bad DePaul team. It’s encouraging to see Moore play 33 and 34 minutes in the past two games with a 26% usage rate in both. Eventually, he’s going to get more comfortable out there and smash this price tag. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Matthew Cleveland – Florida State ($8700) – Cash/GPP
- Kadary Richmond – Seton Hall ($8600) – GPP
- Sean Pedulla – Virginia Tech ($7700) – GPP
- Ryan Nembhard – Creighton ($6800) – Cash
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Kedrian Johnson | WVU | ISU | 5700 | 19.68 |
| Johnson has been an up-and-down player for DFS and in real life lately. He’s gone back and forth between 25 DK outings and bust performances of less than 10 DK. That’s tough to trust in cash lineups despite Johnson having 20+ DK in five of the last seven. Interestingly, Johnson’s home/road splits are very much in his favor tonight as he’s been playing a lot better at home this season and during conference play. Against a tougher opponent like Iowa St, that home environment matters. | ||||
| Caleb Asberry | OKST | TTU | 5300 | 16.98 |
| Asberry moved into Oklahoma State’s starting lineup last game with Avery Anderson out. He scored a season-high 19 points with 32 DK in 33 minutes as a starter. With Anderson out indefinitely, Asberry should remain a big part of the backcourt rotation and he likely starts again tonight. Even if he comes off the bench, Asberry is a great value. | ||||
| Lamar Washington | TTU | OKST | 3500 | 10.54 |
| Washington has played a much bigger role for Texas Tech with Pop Isaacs out. He’s logged 26 and 30 minutes in the past two games and even entered the starting rotation last time out. Washington has put up 14 and 19 DK in these past two contests with the extended playing time. If Isaacs remains out tonight, then Washington is a solid value – especially if he starts. | ||||
| Nimari Burnett | BAMA | UF | 3200 | 12.21 |
| Burnett has scored in double figures with 26 and 22 DK over the past two games. He was a regular starter for Alabama before a mid-season injury and he’s begun to see an increased role now that he’s back healthy. This is a dirt cheap price for the potential 8x value. Burnett is still a GPP play because he’s coming off of the bench and the Tide are rotating Jahvon Quinerly, Jaden Bradley, Mark Sears, and Rylan Griffen in the backcourt. On that note, Quinerly and Griffen are GPP value options tonight too. | ||||
Also Consider:
- John-Michael Wright – Oklahoma State ($5700) – Cash
- Keisei Tominaga – Nebraska ($5400) – GPP
- Joe Toussaint – West Virginia ($5200) – Cash
- Jahvon Quinerly – Alabama ($5100) – GPP
- Riley Kugel – Florida ($4600) – Cash
- Rylan Griffen – Alabama ($4500) – Cash
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Hunter Dickinson | MICH | NEB | 9600 | 34.79 |
| Dickinson just smashed Ohio State last game with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 47 DK. Let’s hope he carries that success into tonight’s favorable matchup against a weak Nebraska frontcourt and team overall. Though he’s expensive, we should get a strong 40 DK or more from the Michigan center. There’s the good matchup, but Dickinson also has home splits in his favor – averaging 20.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 38 DK at home vs 14.1 points, 6.6 boards, and 28 DK on the road. | ||||
| Brandon Miller | BAMA | UF | 9200 | 36.42 |
| Miller continues to post strong DFS and real-life numbers while anchoring a high-powered Alabama offense. The freshman is averaging 18.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 35 DK over the past 10 games and he’s been one of the more reliable high-priced forwards all season. He’s top play on this slate at home against an inconsistent Florida squad. This price tag is actually his cheapest in almost a month too. | ||||
| Ryan Kalkbrenner | CRE | SHU | 8500 | 31.35 |
| Kalkbrenner was excellent against Seton Hall earlier this season with 17 points, eight rebounds, six blocks, and 41 DK. It’s not unreasonable to expect another 35-40 DK performance tonight from the Creighton center in this matchup. Seton Hall has struggled against some opposing bigs in Big East play. Kalkbrenner is also averaging a strong 31 DK over the past 10 games with a safe DFS floor for cash. | ||||
| Eric Dixon | VU | DPU | 7700 | 28.16 |
| We’ve been targeting opposing bigs against DePaul all season and now it’s Dixon’s turn. He had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 35 DK in this matchup earlier this season and could easily replicate those numbers tonight. Dixon was impressive vs Creighton last game with 20 points, nine boards, and 40 DK. The GPP upside is there at his best and this matchup says the Nova big man can have a ceiling performance. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Justyn Mutts – Virginia Tech ($8200) – Cash
- Tolu Smith – Mississippi State ($8000) – GPP
- Arthur Kaluma – Creighton ($7200) – GPP
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Cameron Corhen | FSU | SYR | 5000 | 14.36 |
| Corhen is coming off two impressive performances. He’s scored 16 points in back-to-back games with 21 and 26 DK in those contests and double-digit shot attempts in both. Corhen can have similar success tonight in a high-total matchup with Syracuse. In particular, Cuse is a poor defensive rebounding team and Corhen is Florida State’s best offensive rebounder. There should be enough rebounds and easy put-backs for the big man to return value. | ||||
| Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua | BAY | OU | 5000 | 13.5 |
| JTT finally made his season debut on Saturday after being sidelined since last February. He finished with eight points, four rebounds, and 13 DK across 13 minutes for an efficient performance off the bench. It’s tough to tell how much he’ll play tonight, but he’s worth a look in GPPs for the potential 4x or 5x return at this 5k price tag. Oklahoma isn’t a good rebounding team and Baylor could use his size. | ||||
| Michael Henn | PSU | WISC | 4000 | 6.13 |
| After being buried on the bench all season, Henn has started the last three games and is getting more playing time lately with Penn State needing more size down low. He logged 24 and 29 minutes against Michigan and Purdue, respectively, to give PSU more size against Hunter Dickinson and Zach Edey. He put up 17 and 20 DK in those two games while scoring in double figures both times. That trend could continue tonight with Henn matching up against Wisconsin center Seven Crowl. It’s risky but there’s upside at this price tag. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Julian Phillips – Tennessee ($5700) – GPP
- Prince Aligbe – Boston College ($5100) – GPP
- Flo Thamba – Baylor ($5000) – GPP
