College Basketball CBB DFS Picks 2/2

CBB DFS Top Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
Drew PetersonUSCWSU820032.24
Peterson has been a strong cash play all season and that’s the case again tonight at home. In a high-usage point-forward role for USC, he has 30+ DK in five of the last seven games. That includes his 16 points, eight rebounds, and 33 DK vs Washington State a month ago. This is a very affordable price tag for a high DFS floor. Plus, he's playing the role of late-night hammer in the 11 pm ET tip.
Julian StrawtherGONZSTC780027.61
Strawther is coming off a career-best game when he scored 40 points and 58 DK on Saturday. Obviously we can’t expect a repeat tonight, but Strawther brings a solid DFS floor and tons of upside into this high-scoring matchup. He had 18 points, six rebounds, four assists, and 31 DK vs Santa Clara a month ago. The price is nice for another stat-stuffing performance tonight.
Boo BuieNWMICH760028.67
Buie continued his hot streak with 20 points and 33 DK last game and he’s now scored 20+ points in four of the last five. One of those came against Michigan in mid-January when Buie had 22 points and 30 DK in a high-scoring contest. That could be the case again tonight and Buie has plenty of upside at home in a pace-boost scenario.
Eric GainesUABFAU740028.2
Gaines has been UAB’s alpha scorer and offensive playmaker with Jelly Walker sidelined over the past month. Gaines is averaging 16.8 PPG and 34 DK over the last five games with Walker out and he’s gone for 35 and 40 DK with stat-stuffing lines in the past two. There’s a chance Walker returns tonight, but Gaines would still be a large part of UAB’s offense with plenty of upside in this high-scoring matchup vs FAU.
Jermaine CouisnardOREARIZ710023.5
Couisnard went off for 27 points and 44 DK vs Arizona when these teams met in mid-January. It’s tough to expect a repeat of that performance, but it’s still a good glimpse of Couisnard’s upside now that he’s healthy. The former South Carolina transfer has been a top offensive playmaker for Oregon more often than not ever since he returned from injury. He just had 18 points and 31 DK last game and has shown that upside multiple times over the past month. Couisnard is a tad volatile to trust in cash, but GPP upside is clear.

Also Consider:

  • Brandin Podziemski – Santa Clara ($9300) – GPP
  • Desmond Cambridge – Arizona State ($7600) – GPP
  • Tyger Campbell – UCLA ($7500) – Cash
  • Johnell Davis – FAU ($6700) – GPP
  • Jett Howard – Michigan ($6300) – GPP

Nick BoydFAUUAB570020.77
FAU has a few cheap options tonight and rostering one or two in GPPs isn’t a bad idea in a high-total and pace-boost matchup vs UAB. Boyd is averaging a solid 20 DK over the past 10 games and has shown the upside for 25-30 DK at his best lately when he’s hitting some threes. Though he only had 15 DK vs UAB in the first meeting, that’s about his floor and we can expect a better shooting performance tonight.
Cole BajemaUWUCLA500019.28
On the road at UCLA is a tough draw, but Bajema is still really cheap for what he’s been doing lately. Before a dud performance on Saturday vs Arizona, the senior guard had 21+ DK in three straight games prior and has shown the 25-30 DK upside at multiple times this season. That includes a stat-stuffing 29 DK effort vs UCLA a month ago. Bajema is at least locked into 30+ minutes or so per game and should do enough across the board to return value.
Cedric Henderson Jr.ARIZORE470014.34
Arizona has switched up its lineup lately with Henderson starting the past four games and Pelle Larsson coming off the bench. Henderson has put up 20+ DK in two of these four starts and posseses the upside to do so again tonight in a high-scoring matchup. It’s tough to fully trust his role and DFS production game-to-game right now, but the sub-5k price tag is attractive for the potential 4x or 5x return.
Max KlesmitWISCOSU460016.38
Klesmit returned to Wisconsin’s starting lineup last game and put up 30 DK across 35 minutes. He was usually giving us 20 DK or so in a starting role before his mouth injury and should probably be priced above 5k like earlier this season. This is a pace-boost matchup for Wisconsin and Klesmit can do enough to be a solid cash value.

Also Consider:

  • Nolan Hickman – Gonzaga ($5900) – GPP
  • Keyon Menifield – Washington ($5400) – GPP
  • Keeshawn Barthelemy – Oregon ($5000) – Cash
  • Reyne Smith – Charleston ($4800) – GPP
  • Tavin Lovan – UAB ($4100) – Cash/GPP
  • Toney Toney – UAB ($3200) – GPP

CBB DFS Top Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
Drew TimmeGONZSTC1000038.76
Though he hasn’t regularly performed like it, Timme always has 50 DK upside at his best. The Gonzaga big man showed off that ceiling two games ago with 38 points scored and 51 DK vs Pacific. He had 20 points and 37 DK vs Santa Clara earlier this season and should do a little bit better in this rematch at home. Timme is averaging 23.2 PPG and 41 DK at home compared to 17.6 PPG and 32 DK on the road this season.
Hunter DickinsonMICHNW890034.34
Dickinson is coming off of his worst game of the season when he scored just six points with 14 DK in Sunday’s loss to Penn State. Expect a bounce back tonight with the Michigan center likely returning to his normal 35-40 DK production. Dickinson had 10 points, 15 rebounds, and 39 DK vs Northwestern just five games ago as his talent advantage down low was evident.
Tristan da SilvaCOLCAL850027.95
Colorado’s big man is on a tear lately, averaging 22.3 PPG and 36 DK over the past four games with at least 17 points and 31 DK in each. Plus, his home/road splits are impossible to ignore at this point. At home, da Silva is averaging 19.9 PPG and 34 DK compared to 12.4 PPG and 22 DK on the road this season. He’s on the favorable side of those splits tonight and will look to anchor Colorado as it seeks revenge on an earlier-season loss to Cal.
Brice SensabaughOSUWISC800028.38
Outside of a recent “dud” on the road at Illinois, we’ve seen consistent 35 DK performances or so from Sensabaugh throughout conference play. The freshman is averaging 20.2 PPG and 33 DK over the past 10 games in a high-usage playmaking role for Ohio State. Expect his heavy shot volume and scoring to continue tonight at home with the Buckeyes needing a win badly. He’s firmly in play for cash at 8k flat.
Keshawn JusticeSTCGONZ670026.12
When Santa Clara played Gonzaga earlier this season, Justice nearly anchored his squad to the upset when he dropped 22 points and 39 DK in a high-scoring game. Getting that upside at this sub-7k price is pretty attractive in GPPs. There’s some risk on the road for this rematch, but Justice has the ceiling for another 20+ points scored and 35-40 DK at his best.

Also Consider:

  • Azuolas Tubelis – Arizona ($9600) – GPP
  • Jaime Jaquez – UCLA ($9200) – Cash
  • Amari Williams – Drexel ($8400) – Cash/GPP

CBB DFS Value Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
Parker BraunSTCGONZ590021.53
Braun is coming off of a dud last time out, but he consistently put up 20+ DK in five straight games previously. One of those was a double-double and 28 DK against Gonzaga in early January. The big man’s size and floor-stretching ability will be crucial for Santa Clara tonight and he should provide a solid cash return at this cheaper price.
Sam AlajikiCALCOL470013.44
Alajkali is coming off a strong performance last game when he recorded a double-double and 28 DK across 30 minutes. The sophomore isn’t starting, but he’s still been one of Cal’s better players during conference play. It’s a risky DFS play with upside in a pace-boost matchup here vs Colorado.
Ben GreggGONZSTC460011.99
Gregg has only logged 11 total minutes over the past two games combined, but he should be on the court more often tonight. Gonzaga will likely need his size more to combat Santa Clara’s taller lineup and his defense/presence inside is crucial to take pressure off of Drew Timme. That was the case against Santa Clara earlier this season when Gregg played a season-high 23 minutes with 17 DK. There’s 5x upside in this high-total matchup.
Vincent IwuchukwuUSCWSU36008.4
We’ve hyped up Iwuchukwu in recent playbooks because he remains very cheap for his talent level. The highly-regarded freshman center is slowly getting more minutes in the USC rotation since joining the team in mid-January. It might be only a matter of time until he’s consistently outperforming this price tag. Iwuchukwu put up 19 DK two games ago and has upside for 20+ DK tonight if he starts getting more playing time.

Also Consider:

  • Ante Brzovic – Charleston ($6100) – GPP
  • Giancarlo Rosado – FAU ($4700) – GPP
  • Brandon Angel – Stanford ($4700) – GPP
