Colby JonesXAVSTJN870034.06
We’re going to want a piece of this high-scoring matchup between Xavier and St. John’s. Both Souley Boum and Colby Jones are firmly in play for cash or GPP, but Jones gets the nod today as the cheaper of the two and more consistent ancillary stats. It’s tough to imagine Jones failing to give us 30-40 DK points in such an uptempo game environment. He just went for 43 DK with a filled up stat sheet vs Seton Hall last game.
D'Moi HodgeMIZZUK810032.85
Hodge continues to put up numbers as a top offensive playmaker for Missouri. He now has 30+ DK in eight of the last nine games while averaging 16.7 PPG. Maybe teams start figuring him out, but Hodge did just score 20 points with 35 DK vs Illinois and 15 points with 30 DK vs Kansas in recent contests. Kentucky’s defense definitely presents a challenge, but Hodge should still do this thing to be solid in cash.
Cason WallaceUKMIZZ770028.89
Wallace has been very up-and-down this season with some boom-or-bust offensive play in real life and inconsistent DFS performances. Still, the GPP ceiling is always there for one of the top freshmen in the country who just went off for 27 points and 52 DK last game (albeit vs Florida A&M). This is a pace-boost for Kentucky and it should benefit the guards with Wallace in a prime position to fill up the stat sheet and assert himself offensively.
Ricky Council IVARKLSU710028.98
Council was a huge part of Arkansas’ offense when Nick Smith was out earlier this season, and he’ll likely step right back into that role with Smith out indefinitely now. Council was consistently putting up 30+ DK points and scoring 15-25 points with heavy shot volume and usage without Smith. If he returns to that level, this is too cheap in all formats. You should also consider Anthony Black, who will take on more offensive usage with Smith out as well.
Marcus SasserUHTLSA670027.02
Though he doesn’t always perform like a DFS stud, Sasser should not be priced below 7k at any point this season. The preseason All-American has the upside to go off for 30-40 DK points and he usually has a strong cash floor while leading Houston in usage rate and shot share. He’s been shooting it well in recent games and has plenty of GPP upside to break the slate tonight.

Also Consider:

  • Souley Boum – Xavier (GPP)
  • Anthony Black – Arkansas (Cash)
  • Andre Curbelo – St. John's (GPP)
  • Wendell Green – Auburn (GPP)

CBB DFS Value Guards

Antonio ReevesUKMIZZ540020.07
Some Kentucky players are priced down from where they should be, which puts a few of them on our radar in a high-total matchup and pace-boost vs Missouri. Reeves is one as he leads UK in shot rate this season (28%) and is shooting 43% from three. That three-point upside is key against a Mizzou defense that’s struggled to defend the perimeter. Plus, Reeves has become a bigger part of UK’s rotation lately as he started the previous five games before coming off the bench last time out (but still playing 25 minutes).
Jaden BradleyBAMAMSST460018.58
Bradley has started at point guard for Alabama the past three games with Nimari Burnett out indefinitely. The freshman was already a key part of Bama’s rotation off the bench, but this starting role at the point locks him into more playing time and a safer DFS floor than before. Bradley has 19, 27, and 17 DK in the three starts with Burnett out and is a solid cash value tonight at sub-5k.
Dylan Addae-WusuSTJNXAV400016.65
If you want cheap exposure to the highest total on the slate, St. John’s has a couple options in Addae-Wusu and Montez Mathis. Though he comes off the bench, Addae-Wusu plays a key role for the Johnnies as the team’s sixth-man who can guard multiple positions and offer DFS production in various categories. He should be priced higher with 16+ DK in four straight games and the upside for 25-30 DK in an uptempo environment like tonight.
Jaron Pierre Jr.WICHUCF390015.68
Pierre could re-enter Wichita State’s starting lineup tonight if Craig Porter is out. Porter is a game-time decision after injuring his ankle last game, but he’s yet to practice this week. Pierre scored 18 points in 32 minutes after Porter left the last game early. Even against a good UCF defense, Pierre could see enough playing time and shot volume to 6x his price tag or better if Porter is out.
Joey CalcaterraUCONNVU370017.4
Calcaterra is weirdly mispriced after scoring 14 points with 19 DK last time out at $4600. That deserved a price decrease? There’s plenty of upside against a Villanova defense that allows a ton of opposing scoring via the three-pointer. Calcaterra is one of UConn’s top perimeter shooters with a 52% three-point rate this season.
K.D. JohnsonAUBUF370016.68
Johnson has admittedly struggled lately and for much of this season, but this is way too cheap to ignore at sub-4k. He’s seen his price decrease a ton because of some bad offensive performances, but his usage rate and shot volume are still higher than most of the Auburn rotation. He can give us 20 DK or so in this pace-boost matchup vs Florida and return 7x value or more.

Also Consider:

  • DeAndre Gholston – Missouri (Cash)
  • Adam Miller – LSU (Cash)
  • Davonte Davis – Arkansas (GPP)
  • Tramon Mark – Houston (Cash)
  • Kowacie Reeves – Florida (Cash)
  • Kyle Lofton – Florida (Cash)
  • Montez Mathis – St. John's (GPP)
  • Allen Flanigan – Auburn (GPP)

CBB DFS Top Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
KJ WilliamsLSUARK920037.15
Williams is coming off a dominant performance vs. ETSU with his 56 DK, 28 points, and 12 rebounds. We’ve now seen 50+ DFS point upside from the LSU big man multiple times this season when he’s taking over the paint on both ends. He’s locked into high usage and heavy shot volume for the Tigers and that shouldn’t change. Tonight’s matchup is beneficial in a good one vs an injury-riddled Arkansas team that isn’t strong inside defensively.
Brandon MillerBAMAMSST900036.83
Outside of one bad game on the road at Houston (understandable), Miller has been a real-life and DFS stud for Alabama this season. The dynamic freshman has 46, 47, and 36 DK in the last three games and he’s now averaging 19.3 PPG and 36 DK this year. On the road at Mississippi State tonight is a tough test, but Miller’s heavy offensive usage and shot volume keeps him in play for GPP or cash.
Johni BroomeAUBUF850031.14
Though he has to contend with Colin Castleton down low, Broome is still a great play tonight with his consistent DFS production and heavy offensive usage for Auburn. The big man has at least 30 DK in eight of 11 games this season while boasting a 27% usage rate and 29% shot share. Facing Castleton seems tough on paper, but multiple opposing bigs have had good games vs Florida this season.
Zach FreemantleXAVSTJN750030.9
All of Xavier’s top players are options on this slate with an uptempo, high-scoring matchup looming vs St. John’s. The cheapest among the top four Musketeers is Freemantle, who’s actually a bargain below 8k compared to other high-end forwards tonight. He just went for 23 points and 40 DK vs Seton Hall last game and should be active offensively with Jack Nunge having to deal with Joel Soriano down low. Don't overlook Freemantle in cash or GPP.
Jarace WalkerUHTLSA640023.67
Walker has been very boom-or-bust for DFS purposes this season. The freshman big has shown the upside for 30-35 DK points at his best, but there are plenty of sub-20 DK efforts mixed in between. Tonight could be a boom game for Walker as Tulsa has a poor interior defense and isn’t good at rebounding. That fits right into Walker’s skillset, making him an excellent GPP play at his price.

Also Consider:

  • Joel Soriano – St. John's (Cash)
  • Adam Sanogo – UConn (GPP)
  • Kobe Brown – Missouri (GPP)
  • Taylor Hendricks – UCF (Cash)

CBB DFS Value Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPG
Jordan WalshARKLSU510016.38
Walsh has stepped up for Arkansas following Trevon Brazile’s season-ending injury. In the two games after Brazile went out, Walsh put up 24 and 31 with double-digit points scored and an uptick in minutes in both. The talented freshman has the opportunity for playing time with both Brazile and Nick Smith out right now, so the DFS production should follow.
Reggie ChaneyUHTLSA430010.77
Chaney is expected back tonight after missing the last game with an illness. Though he doesn’t start, the big man can usually do just enough to return value in DFS. Houston should have a notable advantage in the paint tonight with Tulsa being poor at rebounding and defending inside. Chaney can grab enough rebounds and score a few buckets to be a decent salary-saver.
Ronnie DeGray IIIMIZZUK40008
DeGray barely played at the beginning of this season, but he’s now started the past two games and is a firm part of Missouri’s frontcourt. The junior big put up 18 and 20 DK with a huge uptick in minutes (28 and 33) in these two recent starts. Since Mizzou has won with him starting and doing the little things on defense, expect DeGray to be in the lineup once again. He’s a great value tonight without many cheap forwards out there.

Also Consider:

  • Noah Gurley – Alabama (GPP)
  • Chris Livingston – Kentucky (GPP)
