College Basketball CBB DFS Top Plays December 27
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Wade Taylor IV | TA&M | NWST | 8400 | 29.84 |
| It’s tough to roster many Texas A&M players tonight with its deep rotation and in a blowout scenario. Still, Taylor stands out as a top overall play on this slate. The A&M point guard has been hot lately with 25 and 20 points scored (38 and 32 DK, respectively) in the past two games. He should give us 30 DK or so, even in an easy win, since Northwestern State’s defense is poor. | ||||
| Kadary Richmond | SHU | MARQ | 8300 | 24.23 |
| Richmond has been very up-and-down this season, but he’s become an alpha scorer for Seton Hall recently. He’s scored 28 and 17 points in the last two games with a heavy 33% usage rate in both. These outings have coincided with Seton Hall entering Big East conference play, so it’s a good sign that Richmond is taking so many shots and running the offense against squads like Xaver and Providence. Though he’s priced up tonight, Richmond is still a top play in a pace-boost matchup. | ||||
| Marcus Carr | UT | TXA&M | 7500 | 29.04 |
| The blowout factor is definitely there for Texas tonight, but Carr ideally will get his points and DFS production even in limited minutes. The Longhorns’ guard is coming in hot with 28, 17, and 17 points scored in the last three games. He’s clearly an alpha playmaker on the team even with so much talent around and new additions this season. There’s risk, but Carr has shown he can score plenty against Texas’ easy opponents earlier this year. | ||||
| Cormac Ryan | ND | JAC | 7100 | 24.81 |
| Jacksonville should actually keep it close against Notre Dame, so it keeps all the Irish starters in play. Ryan has been playing well lately with 27+ DK in five of the last six games while being active offensively and filling the stat sheet in multiple ways. He should be chalky on this slate considering the price tag compared to other top guards. | ||||
Also Consider:
- De'Vion Harmon – Texas Tech (GPP)
- Kam Jones – Marquette (Cash)
- Kevion Nolan – Jacksonville (GPP/Cash)
- JJ Starling – Notre Dame (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Dexter Dennis | TA&M | NWST | 5600 | 18.23 |
| Sitting below 6k, Dennis is still right on the fringe of being a value play. Though he’s not heavily involved in the A&M offense, he can do just enough in every stat category to put up 20 DK or so against Northwestern St tonight. The blowout risk is there for all A&M starters, but Dennis should do plenty to return value in cash. | ||||
| Arterio Morris | UT | TXA&M | 5200 | 14.2 |
| Normally, Morris would be unplayable at this price tag if Texas was facing a competent opponent. However, it's a different conversation with the Longhorns expected to win big. Morris gets more minutes, shot volume, and usage against easy opponents while Carr and Hunter hit the bench in the second half. The freshman had 25 points and 30 DK last game in a big win, and he’s had 21, 20, and 24 DK in three other Texas blowout victories this season vs. mid-major squads. That trend tells us he’ll return value tonight. | ||||
| Gyasi Powell | JAC | ND | 5100 | 18.72 |
| Powell has put up 19-24 DK in four straight games since entering Jacksonville’s starting lineup. He’s doing enough across the board to return value and is at an affordable price tag tonight. There isn’t much trustworthy cash value on this slate, so rostering Powell for the 4x return or better is a solid way to go. | ||||
| Lamar Washington | TTU | SCST | 4700 | 11.82 |
| Washington’s playing time has fluctuated a ton this season, but he’s been on the court much more often in recent games in a reserve role. The freshman has put up at least 14 DK in four straight with 24+ DK in two of those while seeing more minutes as one of Texas Tech’s top bench options. With Tech expected to win big tonight, Washington can get extended run and do enough to return value at this sub-5k price tag. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Raquan Brown – South Carolina State (Cash)
- Dylan O'Hearn – Jacksonville (GPP)
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Daniel Batcho | TTU | SCST | 8100 | 30.28 |
| Batcho returned from an ankle injury and put up 29 DK with a double-double last time out. That’s a good sign for a guy that’s been a nightly double-double threat and consistently putting up 30 DK or so this season. He should dominate the paint on both ends against South Carolina St tonight and anchor cash lineups, though the blowout risk still limits the upside a bit. | ||||
| Oso Ighodaro | MARQ | SHU | 7700 | 30.19 |
| Ighodaro is on a roll for Marquette with 32, 46, 28, and 31 DK in the past four games. He doesn’t usually have a high offensive usage rate, but the big man is getting it done in all stat categories and he’s proven to be a force inside. Seton Hall has struggled with opposing bigs this season and Ighodaro should be the latest to post big numbers in this matchup. | ||||
| Nate Laszewski | ND | JAC | 7400 | 29.98 |
| Like with Cormac Ryan above, Laszewski looks like a top play tonight since Jacksonville should keep it close enough and Notre Dame is rolling with a very tight rotation. The Irish big man has 30, 33, and 27 DK in the past three games and he’s now averaging 15.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 30 DK this season. Jacksonville is a poor rebounding team and Laszewski could be in line for a monster stat line. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Kevin Obanor – Texas Tech (GPP)
- Timmy Allen – Texas (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Christian Bishop | UT | TXA&M | 5600 | 14.73 |
| The Longhorns’ frontcourt is always tough to predict for DFS because they have 4-5 guys splitting minutes at two or three positions. It puts Christian Bishop, Dillon Mitchell, Brock Cunningham, and Dylan Disu all in the GPP range – especially in a blowout victory situation like tonight. Bishop might be the best bang for your buck on this slate. He’s had some big games off the bench for Texas against weaker opponents this season and the upside for 25 DK or more is there. | ||||
| David Joplin | MARQ | SHU | 5200 | 17.81 |
| Though he comes off the bench, Joplin is heavily involved on offense whenever he is on the court for Marquette. The sophomore forward has a team-high 25% usage rate and a 26% shot share in his 20 minutes or so per game. That active scoring role gives him the potential for 20-25 DK any time out. However, it’s a tad risky with some floor downside. | ||||
| Omar Payne | JAC | ND | 3300 | 18.68 |
| Remember Omar Payne from when he was at Florida and then Illinois? Well, the big man is at Jacksonville now and he’s a potential dirt cheap value on tonight’s slate. Payne’s minutes and role have fluctuated this season, but his size and experience will be needed more tonight against Nate Laszewski and Notre Dame. It’s a risky play since he’s come off the bench the last two games after missing a few games, but the upside is there for a 7x return or better. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Julius Marble – Texas A&M (GPP)
- Osayi Osifo – Jacksonville (Cash)
- Ven-Allen Lubin – Notre Dame (GPP)
