College Basketball CBB DFS Picks
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Baylor Scheierman | CRE | XAV | 8300 | 33.52 | ||
| We have Creighton on the FD main slate and it puts Baylor Scheierman firmly in play as a top cash guard. The do-it-all wing just had a 20, 10 & 6 performance for 45 FD points last game and we can basically pencil him in for 30 or more DFS points on a regular basis. He stuffs the stat sheet and should do plenty of that in a pace-boost home matchup here vs Xavier. | ||||||
| Judah Mintz | SYR | FSU | 8000 | 32.44 | ||
| On the DK slate, we get Syracuse at home in a fast-paced matchup vs Florida State. It puts Judah Mintz right on our radar as Cuse’s best player and high-usage playmaker. Mintz is coming off an excellent performance vs Miami over the weekend with 10 points, 13 assists, 8 rebounds, and 44 DK. He’s averaging 17.4 PPG and 33 DK over the past 10 games and offers a strong cash floor against an uptempo Florida State team. | ||||||
| Posh Alexander | BUTLE | GU | 7900 | 28.64 | ||
| Posh Alexander has been a streaky player for Butler this year, but he’s playing well right now. The point guard has 32, 28, 43, and 39 DK over the past four games. His shot is falling and he’s filling the stat sheet in multiple categories while in a high-usage role. It’s tough to trust him in cash, but the GPP upside for another 30-40 DFS points is there tonight. Georgetown has a terrible interior defense, so Alexander should get plenty of good looks driving to the rim. | ||||||
| Antonio Reeves | UK | SCAR | 7700 | 29.69 | 7600 | 27.53 |
| As usual, many of Kentucky’s players are upside GPP plays on tonight’s slate. You can look at Reed Sheppard, DJ Wagner, or Rob Dillingham – but all three tend to be boom-or-bust options who sometimes take a backseat to each other. Antonio Reeves is in a similar category, but his scoring role is more consistent. Reeves has 22, 27, and 21 points scored over the past three games with 34+ DK in each. He’s played a bit better on the road than the freshmen, so he gets the slight nod if choosing between. | ||||||
| Javian McCollum | OU | UT | 7300 | 26.42 | 6700 | 24.02 |
| The DFS stat lines aren’t always flashy, but Javian McCollum remains a solid cash play in a high-usage role for Oklahoma. The Sooners’ point guard is averaging 15.5 points, 4.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 28 DK over the past 10 games. He’s one of the more consistent players for OU right now and should be leaned on plenty in this tight home matchup vs Texas. The prices on both sites are affordable enough to roll McCollum out in cash. | ||||||
| Naithan George | GT | PITT | 6400 | 20.02 | ||
| Naithan George has been a DFS stud lately with 28+ DK in four straight games. The freshman has seen an increase in shot volume and usage over the past month while averaging 15.2 points, 7.8 assists, and 30 DK over these last four contests. George’s DK price continues to rise, but he’s still cheap enough to roster in all formats with the way he’s playing. Pitt has the 11th-ranked defense in the ACC and George can keep it going at home in this matchup. | ||||||
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Tyrese Proctor | DUKE | UL | 6000 | 21.02 | ||
| After coming off the bench following his injury, Tyrese Proctor has now started the past two games for Duke. He’s logged 30+ minutes in both with 17 points/24 DK and 11 points/19 DK. Proctor has also taken double-digit shots in these past two contests. The price is starting to rise but it’s still a buy-low opportunity in a very favorable matchup vs Louisville. Plus, he would be locked into shots and a bigger role if Jeremy Roach is out again. | ||||||
| Max Klesmit | WISC | MINN | 6000 | 15.96 | 5000 | 14.52 |
| Max Klesmit has been on fire lately with 26, 24, and 18 points scored in three of the last four games. He also had 34, 31, and 25 DK in those games, respectively. Klesmit is shooting 53% from three in conference play now and looks to have earned a bigger role in Wisconsin’s offense. Still, he’s a risky play because the majority of his DFS production comes only from raw points scored. On the road at Minnesota just puts him in GPP upside territory tonight. | ||||||
| Jamarques Lawrence | NEB | OSU | 4900 | 15.51 | 4700 | 13.83 |
| Jamarques Lawrence hasn’t been DFS-relevant for much of this season, but he’s trending up right now. The sophomore guard has 21 and 23 DK in the past two games while playing 34 and 28 minutes, respectively. Nebraska has leaned on him more in the backcourt with Juwan Gary out and Brice Williams playing more on the wing. Gary is a game-time decision tonight but if he’s out, then Lawrence could have 20 DFS points or so again as a solid salary-saver. | ||||||
| Rivaldo Soares | OU | UT | 4900 | 15.81 | 5100 | 14.78 |
| Since Big 12 play began, Rivaldo Soares has been seeing more playing time on the wing for Oklahoma. He’s playing 25 minutes or so in conference action lately and is averaging a decent 15 DK over the past five games. Soares can be inconsistent in terms of stats, but at least his minutes are at a more normal level while being more involved than Le’Tre Darthard lately. Soares has some added upside against Texas’ league-worst 3-point defense while shooting 36% from deep himself in conference play. | ||||||
| Braeden Carrington | MINN | WISC | 4700 | 15.15 | 4700 | 14.16 |
| If Elijah Hawkins is out again for Minnesota tonight, then Braeden Carrington is in play as a value. With Hawkins out last game, Carrington stepped into 26 minutes off the bench for a decent 15 DK outing. He now has 21, 14, and 15 DK in three of the last four games since returning from a mini absence. Hawkins is a game-time decision with his ankle injury, so check on his status before rostering Carrington as a fine cash value. | ||||||
| John-Michael Wright | OKST | TCU | 4500 | 9.88 | ||
| Over on FD, we get a nice salary-saver in John-Michael Wright below 5k. He moved into Oklahoma State’s starting lineup last game and had 11 points with 17 FD points in 30 minutes. Wright was previously barely getting playing time off the bench but if he’s logging 25-30 minutes moving forward, then he’s too cheap. He actually began the year as a starter and scored double-digit points in five of the first six games. | ||||||
| Ithiel Horton | UT | OU | 4200 | 13.78 | 4800 | 12.48 |
| Texas is switching up rotations lately and Ithiel Horton is one guy who’s benefiting. He’s started past two games with Brock Cunningham getting demoted to a bench role. Horton was quiet vs Baylor over the weekend but he exploded for 20 points and 30 DK while shooting 4-for-10 from 3-point range vs UCF two games ago. Horton now has a few of these 30+ DK outings when he gets the minutes and takes more shots – so the GPP upside is clearly there to smash value while this cheap. | ||||||
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Kyle Filipowski | DUKE | UL | 9400 | 39.98 | ||
| Kyle Filipowski hasn’t always been worth his expensive prices, but a matchup vs Louisville definitely gives him the GPP ceiling to smash the slate. Louisville has the worst defense in the ACC (243rd defensive efficiency in the country) and are terrible at rebounding. Filipowski has the upside for 25-30 points, a double-double, and one of those 60 DK point outings – even on the road. | ||||||
| Ryan Kalkbrenner | CRE | XAV | 8400 | 31.63 | ||
| On the FD slate, Ryan Kalkbrenner should be considered a top forward play for GPP or cash. The Creighton center was excellent vs Seton Hall over the weekend with 28 points, 9 rebounds, 7 blocks, and 50 FD points. He’s now averaging 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 4.2 blocks, and 40 FD points over the past five games while playing at an all-conference level. Kalkbrenner has an advantage against Xavier’s below-average frontcourt and it’s a pacer-boost home matchup. | ||||||
| Tre Mitchell | UK | SCAR | 8100 | 32.71 | 8100 | 30.76 |
| Like the Kentucky guards mentioned above, Tre Mitchell is also a GPP upside play tonight. The big man always has the potential for a 20-point double-double and he’s playing well lately with DK outputs of 37, 34, 47, 30, and 47 over the past seven. His DFS and real-life production aren’t as consistent right now with Kentucky recently adding in Aaron Bradshaw and Zvonimir Ivisic to the frontcourt rotation. | ||||||
| Steven Crowl | WISC | MINN | 7500 | 27.14 | 7300 | 25.25 |
| When Steven Crowl is at his best, he’s a DFS stud and deserves to be priced in the 7k range. He’s doing that lately with 39 and 33 DK in the past two games. Yet, the Wisconsin big does have bust potential with some dud performances recently as well. Despite playing on the road tonight, this could be a “boom” game for Crowl. Minnesota allows the majority of points inside and struggles on the defensive boards. Crowl, meanwhile, is an excellent rebounder and could score a ton inside in this spot. | ||||||
| Dylan Disu | UT | OU | 7100 | 24.78 | 6400 | 22.89 |
| Since entering Texas’ starting lineup, Dylan Disu now has 30+ DK in three of the last four games. He had one dud vs UCF two games ago, but Disu was a beast in those three other outings while being a focal point offensively. Disu was the guy for Texas down the stretch last season before getting hurt and it looks like he’s returning to that high-usage role now that he’s healthy. There’s some risk on the road here, but the GPP potential is clearly there as long as Disu continues taking a ton of shots. | ||||||
| Jamison Battle | OSU | NEB | 6800 | 24.92 | 6300 | 22.32 |
| Jamison Battle is a boom-or-bust option tonight but the GPP potential is there because of his three-point shooting, specifically. Nebraska has the worst 3-point defense in the Big Ten and Battle is by far Ohio State’s top perimeter shooter. He’s shooting 50% from three in conference play and can easily go off for 20 points or so and 30 DK or so when he’s draining and grabbing some rebounds too. | ||||||
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Zvonimir Ivisic | UK | SCAR | 5900 | 32.75 | 6000 | 30.00 |
| If you follow college basketball, then you probably heard about Zvonimir Ivisic’s breakout debut for Kentucky over the weekend. The Croatian 7-foot-2 freshman was ineligible all season but the NCAA finally cleared him. His first game resulted in 13 points, 5 rebounds, 5 blocks/steals, 3-for-4 from three-point range, and a 32 DK performance in just 16 minutes off the bench. We have no idea how much he’ll play on a game-to-game basis, but Ivisic immediately looks like a difference-maker and deserves real minutes moving forward. He’s tough to trust in cash but offers plenty of GPP upside while he’s still this cheap. | ||||||
| Ernest Udeh Jr. | TCU | OKST | 5500 | 14.71 | ||
| On the FD slate, Ernest Udeh is an interesting GPP upside value in a very favorable matchup. Oklahoma State has the worst interior defense and worst offensive rebounding rate in the Big 12. That plays right into Udeh’s strengths as a post scorer and TCU’s top rebounder. He just had 11 points, 9 boards, 5 steals, and 32 DK two games ago. Udeh is too inconsistent to roster in cash, but the ceiling for another big game is there. | ||||||
| Collin Murray-Boyles | SCAR | UK | 5300 | 13.81 | 4600 | 13.15 |
| Collin Murray-Boyles has now started the past three games for South Carolina with 20, 25, and 18 DK points in these past three. The freshman big was previously getting minimal playing time off the bench, but that’s changed now. He has a higher DFS floor with the starting role and is even more important to SC’s rotation with Myles Stute sidelined. If he starts and plays 25 minutes or so again tonight, expect a decent cash return for DFS in a home pace-boost matchup. | ||||||
| Federiko Federiko | PITT | GT | 5100 | 15.81 | ||
| After riding the bench for the past month, Federiko Federiko moved back into Pitt’s starting lineup last game and had one of his better DFS performances in a while. The center had 21 DK in 27 minutes as the starting role allowed him to do just enough across the board. We’ll see if he starts again tonight but if he does, then Federiko is a nice DK value. Georgia Tech is the worst defensive rebounding team in the ACC and Federiko will have a size mismatch down low. | ||||||
| Ryan Young | DUKE | UL | 4300 | 10.9 | ||
| Mark Mitchell is a game-time decision for Duke tonight and if he’s out, then Ryan Young will be a nice value again. Young has been playing more over the past three games with Mitchell sidelined. He has 16, 25, and 15 DK in the past three and is logging 25 minutes or so in Duke’s frontcourt in Mitchell’s place. Keep an eye on the injury news, but Young is definitely in play at his cheap low-4k price. | ||||||
