College Basketball CBB DFS Picks

CBB DFS Top Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Baylor ScheiermanCREVU930037.02830033.89
Baylor Scheierman continues to provide a very strong and consistent cash floor in his stat-stuffing, high-usage role for Creighton. The point-forward has at least 34 DK in seven of the last eight games and is now averaging 18.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. Tonight at home, Scheierman also has more GPP upside with his 3-point shooting against a Villanova team that welcomes opposing perimeter shooting.
RJ DavisUNCOU900032.3800029.82
RJ Davis is on a roll right now with at least 23 points and 33 DK in six straight games while averaging 26.7 PPG and 38 DK per game in this stretch. More impressively, Davis has been doing this against tougher competition. He’s locked into a high-usage role as UNC’s offensive alpha scorer and playmaker. Even against a good defensive team in Oklahoma tonight, we should expect another strong scoring and DFS performance from Davis.
Caleb LoveARIZBAMA870033.11820030.97
Arizona’s matchup vs Alabama boasts the highest total on the slate by a big margin. Naturally, Caleb Love is firmly in play in all formats as one of Zona’s top playmakers. Love comes in hot with 20 points/41 DK and 29/48 in the past two games vs Wisconsin and Purdue, respectively. He also has 30+ DK in six straight games – averaging 18.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 37 DK in this stretch. Bank on another stud performance tonight in a high-scoring, fast-paced game that doubles as the late-night hammer matchup.
Mark SearsBAMAARIZ850035.02810032.60
Mark Sears is Alabama’s clear top offensive playmaker and he’s a top cash or GPP guard in this high-scoring, fast-paced matchup. The senior point guard is averaging 21.2 PPG with plenty of ancillary stat production in his high-usage role for Bama. Sears has 30+ DK in all but two games this season with 29 and 26 DK in the other two. He’s locked into a heavy shot volume and should be leaned on tonight to match Arizona’s uptempo flow.
Cam SpencerUCONNSHU740029.77740027.40
While Tristen Newton is the headliner for UConn, his price tags have become tough to roster in optimal lineups. A bit cheaper is Cam Spencer, who’s on fire lately. The shooting guard just had 15 points and 30 DK vs Gonzaga and he recently went off for 23 points/44 DK vs UNC. Spencer now has 30+ DK in three straight and five of the last seven games. Tonight, his 3-point sharpshooting (46%) gives him more GPP upside in this matchup vs Seton Hall’s weak perimeter defense.
Jeremy RoachDUKEBAY710025.52670024.05
Jeremy Roach went through an early-season lull, but he’s been excellent lately. The Duke point guard has scored 18+ points in five straight games with 30+ DK in four straight. He’s taken on a bigger offensive role in recent games with Tyrese Proctor out too. If Proctor is out again tonight, Roach should be locked into shot volume and a bigger scoring role as a strong cash play. If Proctor plays, then Roach is more GPP territory but still with upside in a higher-total game.
Daniss JenkinsSTJNXAV670029.72730027.52
The St. John’s rotation is still fluctuating, but Daniss Jenkins continues to be the offensive catalyst while running the point. The price on both sites is pretty affordable for his 30 DK or so floor of stat accumulation in a high-usage role. This is a quick-paced and higher-scoring matchup with Xavier, so bank on Jenkins being plenty involved on both ends to come through in cash. He has 36, 33, and 28 DK in the past three games and should keep the strong play going at home here.

CBB DFS Value Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Jordan DingleSTJNXAV560018.18480016.09
Jordan Dingle comes at a discount tonight because he’s been slightly underperforming. Still, he’s a decent cash value with GPP upside tonight in this uptempo game flow vs Xavier. Despite some inconsistent play lately, Dingle is still a talented scorer who’s taking double-digit shots more often than not for St. John’s. He has 21+ DK in four of the last seven games and can do that again here to return value.
Pelle LarssonARIZBAMA540022.86610021.40
If you want some more affordable exposure to the late-night, uptempo game, then Pelle Larsson is a very good value. The senior wing is filling the stat sheet in multiple ways while averaging 22 DK per game on this fast-paced Arizona team. He has a solid cash floor of 20 DFS points or so but also has GPP upside for 30+ if he makes a few threes. Larsson might be pricey for a value play, but you could do a lot worse in his price range on both sites.
Ty BerryNWASU520018.8
Ty Berry is coming off a dud last game with only 7.7 DK in 25 minutes vs DePaul. Even so, expect a bounceback tonight. Before that last outing, Berry averaged 25 DK and 13.5 PPG over the previous six games with 25+ DK in four of those. His 30 minutes or so aren’t going anywhere, but it’s only a matter of him hitting threes to exceed value. Arizona St presents a pace-boost matchup here for Northwestern and Berry can come through in GPP lineups when others are likely fading him.
Jordan LonginoVUCRE510018.02530016.50
With Justin Moore sidelined the past two games, Jordan Longino has taken on more shots and offensive usage for Villanova. He was already one of Nova’s top bench players and decent value play anyway. Moore’s absence, though, has resulted in a higher floor of minutes and scoring for Longino. He has 28 and 17 DK in these past two games with 16 and 9 points scored, respectively, and double-digit shot attempts in both. Longino is also averaging 22 DK over the past five games.
Rylan GriffenBAMAARIZ500016.18500014.87
Another cheap way to get exposure to this high-scoring Arizona vs Alabama game is Rylan Griffen on the Bama side of things. The sophomore wing is playing 25-30 minutes right now and he’s doing just enough in multiple stat categories to return value. Griffen has also picked it up lately, averaging 21 DK over the past five games. Other cheap GPP guard values to consider in this game are Latrell Wrightsell and KJ Lewis.
Adam MillerASUNW480031.5
On the DK slate, Adam Miller should be a chalky value play. The former LSU and Illinois transfer just became eligible and made his season debut on Saturday. He started for Arizona St and went off for 20 points and 31 DK in 30 minutes played. First off, it’s notable that he entered the starting lineup right away in his first game. Plus, he had a 22% usage rate and went 5-for-9 from the field (3-for-7 from three) with 7-for-7 free throws. It’s only one game, but it looks like Miller is going to be a big part of ASU’s offense moving forward. He might not be this cheap for much longer.
Caleb FosterDUKEBAY380014.82460013.72
We’ll see if Tyrese Proctor plays tonight for Duke. If he doesn’t, then expect Caleb Foster to start again in the backcourt. Foster has 20, 15, and 14 DK in the past three games and has now started the past two games with Proctor out. His minutes are also more secure with 36, 29, and 28 in the past three contests. If he starts again tonight with Proctor sidelined, Foster is a great value – especially below 4k on DK.
Francisco FarabelloCREVU350013.43430012.39
Despite coming off the bench, Francisco Farabello is still playing 25-30 minutes most games for Creighton. That playing time alone gives him the opportunity to return value with ancillary stats, but we’re targeting his perimeter shooting upside tonight. Villanova has a poor 3-point defense while Farabello is shooting 41% from deep. If he makes a few threes, the potential to 5x or 6x this price tag isn’t out of the question.

CBB DFS Top Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Kyle FilipowskiDUKEBAY1030040.7900038.34
If Duke is on the slate, then Kyle Filipowski has to be in play. The Duke center has one of the best floor/ceiling DFS combos in the sport as a nightly threat for a 20-point double-double and 50 DK points. Baylor’s interior defense isn’t a strong point and has struggled against talented bigs. Expect Filipowski to show up in this big non-con matchup as the focal point of Duke’s offense. In the Blue Devils’ four games vs power conf teams so far, Filipowski has 42, 34, 46, and 40 DK points. If you have the room to fit him in, do it.
Joel SorianoSTJNXAV920037.98860035.55
Joel Soriano is always in play for cash or GPP as a walking double-double with 40+ DK upside. He’s playing well coming into tonight with three straight double-doubles and 40+ DK in three of the last four games. Now he gets to face a weaker Xavier frontcourt that’s undersized and will likely struggle to contain Soriano on both ends. In an uptempo game flow, Soriano offers a strong cash floor with the ceiling to smash the slate.
Ryan KalkbrennerCREVU850031.48790029.82
Ryan Kalkbrenner started the season slow, but he’s been performing like an all-conference big lately. The Creighton center has 34+ DK in six of the last eight games and four of the last five. Though Villanova’s frontcourt defense is its strength, Kalkbrenner has the GPP upside to be one of the slate’s top forwards. A 20-point double-double with multiple blocks is always a possibility, especially at home tonight.
Harrison IngramUNCOU810030.8760028.54
RJ Davis and Armando Bacot might be the headliners for UNC, but Harrison Ingram is also performing on a consistent basis right now. The power forward is regularly taking double-digit shots and he’s filling up the stat sheet plenty for a strong DFS cash floor. Ingram has at least 29 DK in six of the last seven games and 25+ DK in every game so far this season. In this matchup, his versatility on the wing could prove to be a mismatch against Oklahoma’s lineup. Don’t overlook him as a solid cash play in one of the slate's higher-scoring games.
Keshad JohnsonARIZBAMA750029.64740027.79
Even with a price increase on both sites, Keshad Johnson has to be considered for GPP lineups tonight. The power forward is coming off two stud performances vs Wisconsin and Purdue when he had 30 and 43 DK, respectively. Johnson also had 40 DK and a double-double vs Michigan St and 31 DK vs Duke earlier this year. When Arizona has played its toughest games, Johnson has performed. He’s a bit tough to rely on for cash, but the GPP potential is there when he’s playing up to his ceiling.
Alex KarabanUCONNSHU720029710027.02
As usual with UConn, both Donovan Clingan and Alex Karaban are upside GPP plays tonight. Both have the ceiling to smash their price tags, but their performances also tend to fluctuate too much to trust in cash lineups. As for Karaban, he recently had 18 points/41 DK vs UNC and 20 points/36 DK vs Texas. His perimeter shooting ability (35% from three this season) gives him more upside in this matchup vs Seton Hall’s weak 3-point defense.
Tyler BurtonVUCRE710023.68610021.75
With Justin Moore sidelined the past two games, Tyler Burton has stepped into a much bigger offensive role for Villanova. The power forward has 33 and 38 DK in these past two games with a double-double in both and a notable uptick in usage and shot volume. Check on Moore’s status, but expect Burton to continue in his higher-usage role if his teammate is out again. Creighton tends to funnel scoring inside and Burton could live in the paint offensively as an upside GPP play.

CBB DFS Value Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Yves MissiBAYDUKE570023.72620022.36
Yves Missi has a tough matchup vs Kyle Filipowski, but he can still exceed value tonight in GPP lineups. Baylor’s big man has 30+ DK upside when he’s asserting himself in the paint. Again, the head-to-head matchup is tougher but Missi can also ball out on the bigger stage in this non-con showdown. He’ll have an athleticism advantage over Filipowski and carries plenty of upside if he stays out of foul trouble.
Sam GodwinOUUNC530020.64570019.68
Though he’s not a top scorer or playmaker for Oklahoma this year, Sam Godwin has carved out a solid role in the frontcourt to be a fine cash value. The center is splitting minutes with John Hugley at the five, yet he’s still averaging 20 DK in just 17 minutes per game. There’s a chance Hugley gets into foul trouble vs Armando Bacot, so Godwin can return value if his playing time creeps into the 25-minute range. He recently had 22 DK vs Providence and 18 DK vs Iowa.
Nick PringleBAMAARIZ460013.69470013.20
Nick Pringle recently returned from suspension and put up 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 25 DK last game vs Creighton in 23 minutes. It was a positive sign to see him bounce back for a productive outing after only logging 9 minutes in the first game back from suspension. Alabama will need his size and skill down low tonight against Arizona’s talented frontcourt, so expect his minutes to be in the 20-25 range again. That gives him GPP upside if he stays out of foul trouble.
Mason MillerCREVU430014.64460013.17
Similar to Francisco Farabello above, we’re looking at Mason Miller tonight because of his three-point upside. Nova has a weak 3-point defense and Creighton loves to shoot it from deep. Miller is one of those sharpshooters at a team-best 59% from three this season. He offers a minimal cash floor, but the GPP ceiling for 20-25 DFS points is there if he’s making his shots.
Glenn Taylor Jr.STJNXAV420014.55440013.83
If you want some cheaper exposure to St. John’s and that higher-scoring matchup, Glenn Taylor is worth a look. The junior wing plays 30 minutes or so in St. John’s tighter matchups as the rotation shortens. He has 20, 18, 19, and 21 DK points in the team’s last four close games. His minutes and DFS production fluctuate more in blowout wins, but this conference matchup vs Xavier should result in Taylor coming through as a value.
