Top CBB DFS Guards

KJ Simpson - Colorado @ Miami ($8.3K DK)

Despite showcasing an explosive offensive ability last season, point guard KJ Simpson had two weaknesses- long range consistency and assist-to turnover rate. Simpson goes into the Miami game sporting a career-best 3.18 assist-to-turnover rate and a .452 3-point % after posting a .269 mark through his first two seasons. He is the star that stirs the drink for the Buffalos with a 26.2% usage/28.4% shot rate to go along with a 30.3% assist and 2.7% steal rate. Plus, they don’t come more consistent than Simpson who has scored between 27 DK and 44 DK in every game this season (33 DK average). There are a few top DFS guards in the pay up range, but KJ Simpson is my pick for top overall at this position.

Jaylen Murray - Mississippi @ UCF ($7.0K DK)

JuJu Murray, a St. Peter’s transfer who made it to the elite eight as a freshman, has always had the pedigree to be a good SEC player and Ole Miss has given him that chance to prove it. Murray played an important role for the 15th-seeded Peacocks during their incredible Elite Eight run in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, but he became an even bigger part of the offense this past season. Now he is doing his thing for Ole Miss and JuJu is on a heater. Murray just led the team with a career high 26 points against Mount St. Mary which is the second straight game he led the Rebels in scoring after dropping 22 on Memphis. Murray and backcourt mate Matthew Murrell are both in play today against UCF.

Tyson Walker - Michigan State @ Nebraska ($6.9K DK)

Tyson Walker is the No. 3 scorer in the Big Ten at 20.7 PPG only behind Zach Edey of Purdue and Terrence Shannon of Illinois. This is just way too cheap of a price for the Spartan veteran who also carries a 29.4% usage rate and 36.5% shot rate 98th in the nation). After an illness a couple of weeks ago Walker is back healthy and will be playing nearly every minute today and is a near lock for 30 DK points. Besides blowout wins against Georgia Southern and Southern Illinois and a 57 DK point opening night effort, Walker has scored between 29 and 34DK points in every other game this season. Why expect anything less today against Nebraska.

Other Top CBB DFS Guards

Allen Flanigan, Mississippi ($8.8K DK)

Javon Small, UCF ($8.1K DK)

Wade Taylor IV ($8.6K DK)

Matthew Murrell, Mississippi ($7.5K DK)

Wooga Poplar, Miami ($7.2K DK)

Nigel Pack, Miami ($6.3K DK)

AJ Hoggard, Michigan State ($6.6K DK)

Top CBB DFS Guard Value

Caleb Mills - Memphis @ Texas A&M ($5.2K DK)

Mills enjoyed his best game with the Tigers against VCU this week. His 17 points easily topped his season high of 10. The two 3-pointers he hit (and the only two he attempted) were clutch, both keeping Memphis within striking distance in the second half and helping the tigers snap a two-game losing streak. He also had four rebounds — all in the second half — two assists and a steal in 29 minutes. Mills has asked to come off the bench, but he will still play starter minutes and like always he is a volatile play that could easily nuke the slate if he gets hot,

Other CBB DFS Guard Value

Hayden Hefner, Texas A&M ($4.3K DK) - Hefner is a shooter and capable of a 25-point game in 24 minutes or a four-point game.

DeMarr Langford Jr, UCF ($3.7K DK) - Langford Jr returned against Jacksonville after missing nearly a month with injury. He played 11 minutes and should see a little more than that today. This is a guard position starved for value, so Langford Jr. is in play for GPPs.

Top CBB DFS Forwards

Joel Soriano - St. John’s vs. Boston College ($8.4K DK)

Joel Soriano is arguably the best big man in the Big East. He has been the one constant for Rick Pitino, scoring in double figures in all seven games and notching at least nine rebounds in six of the team's seven contests. West Virginia could not stop him last Friday, as Soriano shot 8-for-11, scoring 24 points with nine rebounds and three blocks and Sacred heart had no chance on Wednesday (49 DK). Soriano has six games with 10-plus points and nine-plus rebounds, tied for the second-most in the country and he has shot 50% or better in every game this season, including 60% or better in six of seven games. The 8th ranked player in the KenPom Player of the Year ranking has a tough matchup today with Quinten Post of Boston College but take the $1.3K savings and run.

Henry Coleman III - Texas A&M vs. Memphis ($7.1K DK)

Henry Coleman III is a beast inside. He may be a bit undersized for a true five, but he sure can hit the glass and get to the foul line. With an awesome 35.9% combined rebound rate Coleman III is averaging 14 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. Both are big improvements over last year, though they haven’t gotten to SEC play yet. Those averages might drop as he has been incredibly efficient, making over 70% of his FGs and 85% of his FTs. This is a career 57% shooter and 70% from the line so the numbers may drop or maybe they won’t? Coleman III gained a reputation as a volatile player but this season he has only one bad game (FAU) and every other has been over 35 DK points. At $7.1K DK this is just too cheap.

Other Top CBB DFS Forwards

Norchad Omier, Miami ($8.5K DK)

David Jones, Memphis ($8.2K DK)

Jaemyn Brakefield, Mississippi ($6.4K DK)

Eric Dailey Jr., Oklahoma State ($6.5K DK)

Chris Ledlum, St. John’s ($6.9K DK)

Top CBB DFS Forward Values

Marchelus Avery, UCF ($4.4K DK) - Avery has a 26% shot rate to go with a 4.4% block rate. He has been at least 4X value every game this season and is averaging 25 DK over the last two games.

Malcolm Dandridge, Memphis ($4.7K DK) - Dandridge, who’s averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in his last two games, will replace Jordan Brown as the team’s starting center. He put up 10 points and 7 boards at VCU Wednesday.

Thierno Sylia, UCF ($4.7K DK) - Sylia is coming off his first career double-double and has now started five straight games.

Isaiah Miranda, Oklahoma State ($3.4K DK) - The freshman stretch five center should make his debut today after rehabbing from surgery. GPP only
