College Basketball CBB DFS Picks 2/9
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Drew Peterson | USC | ORE | 8700 | 32.94 |
| Peterson continues to be a very solid cash stud any time USC is on the slate. He stuffs the stat sheet in multiple ways while averaging 14.9 PPG and 32 DK over the past 10 games. The Trojans’ point-forward is playing well lately with 39, 41, and 43 DK in three of the last four. This road matchup at Oregon shouldn’t scare us away. | ||||
| Khalil Shabazz | SFO | GONZ | 8300 | 31.96 |
| The high-total, uptempo matchup between San Francisco and Gonzaga is definitely one to target tonight. On the San Fran side, Shabazz leads the way and he’s coming off of a massive 31-point, 53 DK performance last time out. The dynamic guard had 17 points and 32 DK vs Gonzaga earlier this season and he can easily replicate those numbers in this rematch, despite it being on the road. | ||||
| Logan Johnson | STMRY | LYM | 7400 | 27.1 |
| The Saint Mary’s guys will likely go overlooked on this slate because of the low-total matchup. Still, the Gaels get a pace boost here and Loyola Marymount should push them to play well. Johnson is worth a look in GPPs. First, he’s averaging an impressive 17.9 PPG and 36 DK on the road this season compared to 9.9 PPG and 23 DK at home. Plus, he went off for 19 points and 38 DK vs Loyola Marymount earlier this season. | ||||
| Cam Shelton | LYM | STMRY | 7300 | 36.67 |
| Facing Saint Mary’s top-tier defense is definitely tough, but it’s impossible to ignore Shelton’s consistency this season. In a high-usage point guard role for Loyola Marymount, he’s averaging 19.5 PPG and 34 DK over the last 10 games with a stuffed stat sheet on a regular basis. He even did it against the Gaels earlier this season with 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, and 29 DK. This is a pretty affordable price for Shelton and the strong cash floor despite the tough matchup. | ||||
| Tyrell Roberts | SFO | GONZ | 6800 | 26.11 |
| While Shabazz is a top play from San Francisco tonight, don’t overlook Roberts in that backcourt. He’s averaging a strong 16.5 PPG and 27 DK over the past 10 games and put up 18 points and 28 DK vs Gonzaga earlier this season. There’s a good chance both Shabazz and Roberts are top guard plays on this slate in a high-scoring, uptempo matchup. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Desmond Cambridge – Arizona State ($7700) – GPP
- Tyger Campbell – UCLA ($7100) – Cash
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Amari Bailey | UCLA | ORST | 5500 | 19.3 |
| Since returning from injury, Bailey has been productive with 19, 20, and 18 DK in his three games back and scoring in double figures in each. He’s also re-entered UCLA’s starting lineup and isn’t showing much rust from sitting out an entire month. This is pretty cheap for a guy that was priced way higher and sometimes dropped 25-30 DK at his best before getting hurt. | ||||
| Rasir Bolton | GONZ | SFO | 5100 | 18.58 |
| Bolton understandably didn’t play well on the road against a tough Saint Mary’s defense last game. Still, he went for 16 points and 29 DK the game prior and can easily get back to that production tonight in a higher-scoring game. Plus, Bolton could be playing a bigger role in the Gonzaga backcourt if Nolan Hickman is out. This is a really nice price for cash or GPP. Also, look at Malachi Smith as a value if Hickman is indeed sidelined. | ||||
| Michael Jones | STAN | ASU | 5100 | 18 |
| Jones isn’t a flashy play, but he could return 5x value or so at home in a pace-boost spot tonight. In particular, Jones brings his three-point upside into this matchup against an Arizona State defense that’s struggled to defend the perimeter. Jones is making a team-high 42% from three during conference play and he went for 23 DK vs ASU earlier this season. While everyone plays Bolton at the same price, Jones is a contrarian pivot. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Aidan Mahaney – Saint Mary's ($6200) – GPP
- Fletcher Loyer – Purdue ($5700) – GPP
- Brooks Barnhizer – Northwestern ($5300) – Cash
- Sean McNeil – Ohio State ($4900) – GPP
- Malachi Smith – Gonzaga ($4800) – Cash/GPP if Hickman is out
- Keeshawn Barthelemy – Oregon ($4500) – GPP
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Zach Edey | PUR | IOWA | 11000 | 45.99 |
| Edey is priced way up at 11k tonight, but he’s actually worth rostering because of this matchup. Purdue is not only at home and gets a pace-boost from Iowa, but it also gets to face the shaky and weak defense of the Hawkeyes. Plus, Edey should feast against an undersized Iowa frontcourt that’s given up big games to multiple opposing centers throughout Big Ten play. As for Edey, he’s dropped 60+ DK in two of the last three games and is averaging a wild 23.4 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, and 47 DK over the past 10 contests. | ||||
| Drew Timme | GONZ | SFO | 9700 | 38.51 |
| Timme hasn’t always lived up to his expensive DFS price tags this season, but the upside for 40-50 DK is always there for one of the best players in college hoops. That’s the case tonight in a high-scoring, fast-paced matchup with San Francisco at home. Timme didn’t play particularly well vs San Fran earlier this season and still put up 25 DK. Expect a better performance in this rematch at home, where he’s averaging 22.7 PPG and 41 DK. | ||||
| Spencer Jones | STAN | ASU | 7400 | 25.6 |
| Both Spencer Jones and Harrison Ingram could go overlooked tonight as top plays for Stanford. You can go with Ingram for a strong cash floor of 25 DK or so and an upside for 35+ at his best. As for Jones, he has proven upside for 20+ points and 35-40 DK, which could come tonight in a pace-boost matchup vs Arizona State at home. | ||||
| N'Faly Dante | ORE | USC | 7300 | 28.47 |
| Dante is pretty affordable on this slate compared to other top forwards, especially since he’s shown the DFS ceiling to match the production of Drew Timme or Kris Murray at times but costs $2000 less. Tonight could be one of those top-tier performances against a banged-up USC frontcourt that’s struggled against some opposing bigs. If Dante can assert himself on the boards and as a post scorer, then the upside for 35-40 DK is definitely there. Even so, he’s averaging 29 DK over the past 10 games and can be considered for cash lineups too. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Kris Murray – Iowa ($9400) – GPP
- Brice Sensabaugh – Ohio State ($8300) – Cash/GPP
- Mitchell Saxen – Saint Mary's ($7600) – GPP
- Harrison Ingram – Stanford ($6800) – GPP
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG |
| Kuany Kuany | CAL | ARIZ | 5300 | 16.52 |
| By default, Kuany might be Cal’s top offensive playmaker tonight and moving forward with Devin Askew out for the season and Dejaun Clayton sidelined. Kuany had a season-high 13 shot attempts last game with both out and put up 26 DK in the process. Even though Cal is terrible, there’s still a path for Kuany to be a solid value with this uptick in scoring responsibility in this pace-boost vs Arizona at home. | ||||
| Isaiah Hawthorne | SFO | GONZ | 4300 | 14.59 |
| Hawthorne is priced really low for a guy that’s averaging a solid 18 DK over the past 10 games. He can produce in multiple stat categories for a decent cash floor while having the upside for 20 DK and a 5x return or better. Hawthorne had 19 DK vs Gonzaga earlier this season and can do it again in a high-total matchup. His versatile size will be needed against Julian Strawther, Anton Watson, and Drew Timme tonight so the minutes should be there to exceed value. | ||||
| Mason Gillis | PUR | IOWA | 4200 | 14.26 |
| Outside of Zach Edey, there are a number of cheaper Purdue players worth considering in this pace-boost matchup at home vs Iowa’s weak defense. Gillis is one of those value upside options. Two games ago, we saw Gillis get hot for 29 points and 36 DK. Don’t expect a repeat of that, but the 5x ceiling is still there in an uptempo environment. Also, look at Caleb Furst, Ethan Morton, or Fletcher Loyer as GPP values for Purdue. | ||||
Also Consider:
- Alex Ducas – Saint Mary's ($6100) – Cash
- Adem Bona – UCLA ($6100) – GPP
- Cedric Henderson – Arizona ($5200) – Cash
- Vincent Iwuchukwu – USC ($4500) – GPP
- Ndewedo Newbury – San Francisco ($3500) – GPP
