College Basketball CBB DFS Picks 2/20
CBB DFS Top Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Damion Baugh | TCU | KU | 8500 | 30.49 | 8000 | 28.20 |
| Even with Mike Miles back, Baugh is still a top offensive playmaker for TCU and should be strongly considered as a top guard on this short slate. He’d taken on the alpha role with Miles out lately, but the overall DFS production is still there for a strong with Miles healthy now. Baugh had 16 points, 11 assists, and 39 DK on Saturday and he’s averaging 31 DK over the past 10 games. | ||||||
| Erik Stevenson | WVU | OKST | 7600 | 24.42 | 6000 | 22.08 |
| Stevenson isn’t very trustworthy for cash lineups, but he has a massive GPP ceiling tonight – especially at home with West Virginia having revenge on its mind. Stevenson just exploded for 27 points and 34 DK on Saturday and he went for 34 points and 52 DK earlier this month. There are some duds in between there, which makes him risky. Still, the ceiling is huge with his team-high 29% usage rate and 35% shot rate during conference play. | ||||||
| Mike Miles Jr. | TCU | KU | 7400 | 28.24 | 6800 | 26.07 |
| After missing a few weeks, Miles returned to TCU’s lineup on Saturday and immediately logged 35 minutes in a starting role. That’s a good sign that he’s closer to full strength right now rather than being slowly worked into the rotation like other injured players. Miles had 15 points and 21 DK in his return, but he has the upside for 30-35 DK at his best tonight. He went for 27 DK vs Kansas earlier this season. | ||||||
| Dajuan Harris Jr. | KU | TCU | 6700 | 24.73 | 6300 | 23.11 |
| If Kansas wants to win tonight, it’ll likely need Harris to be the elite point guard and the floor general that we’ve seen him be. Harris is on a roll lately with 28+ DK in four straight games and at least 14 points scored in three of those. We should temper expectations when it comes to pure points scored, but the GPP upside is there for him to smash this small slate at a sub-7k price tag. Gradey Dick is also an upside play from Kansas. | ||||||
Also Consider:
- Kevin McCullar – Kansas (Cash)
- Gradey Dick – Kansas (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Guards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Tyrese Proctor | DUKE | UL | 5700 | 18.34 | 4400 | 16.70 |
| Proctor continues to be pretty affordable, especially on FanDuel, for the 20-30 DK production. He’s averaging a solid 10.4 PPG and 21 DK over the past 10 games and is contributing DFS production in multiple ways. This matchup vs Louisville at home is a very easy one for Duke, so Proctor should do enough to return value at his cheap price tags. | ||||||
| John-Michael Wright | OKST | WVU | 5600 | 18.3 | 4800 | 16.21 |
| Wright is playing a much bigger role for Oklahoma State with Avery Anderson out. In the past five games with Anderson sidelined, Wright has 24+ DK and 15+ points scored in four of those. He’s seen an uptick in shot volume and offensive role with a safer cash floor as long as Anderson remains out. Wright also had 11 points and 18 DK vs Oklahoma St earlier this season. | ||||||
| Jayden Epps | IL | MINN | 4700 | 16.79 | ||
| Epps would be a solid value play either way, but Terrence Shannon’s absence bumps him up even more. The freshman guard had 12 points and 21 DK last game with Shannon out while being Illinois’ second-best source of scoring (behind Mayer). Though he doesn’t offer much ancillary stat production, Epps is still a good value at this sub-5k price tag – even if Shannon does play tonight. | ||||||
| Luke Goode | IL | MINN | 3200 | 7.25 | ||
| After missing the whole season with a foot injury, Goode is back in the Illinois rotation and shouldn’t go overlooked as a value on tonight’s small slate. He just logged 23 minutes off the bench on Saturday with Terrence Shannon out, which may be the case again tonight. Goode had a solid 17 DK in those 23 minutes and it’s encouraging to see him that much involved in just his third game back. If Shannon is out, then Goode should be a great salary-saver in GPP. | ||||||
Also Consider:
- Jeremy Roach – Duke (Cash/GPP)
- Kedrian Johnson – West Virginia (Cash/GPP)
- Shahada Wells – TCU (GPP)
- Joe Toussaint – West Virginia (GPP)
CBB DFS Top Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Jalen Wilson | KU | TCU | 9500 | 37.94 | 9000 | 34.85 |
| Even at his expensive price point, Wilson is a tough fade in cash for tonight’s small slate. He’s averaging a strong 21.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 37 DK over the past 10 games and had 30 points and 42 DK vs TCU a month ago. Kansas will be motivated to win this road rematch and Wilson should be heavily involved on both ends once again. He’s put up 42 DK in two of the last three and can do it again tonight. | ||||||
| Matthew Mayer | IL | MINN | 8100 | 25.23 | ||
| With Terrence Shannon sidelined on Saturday, Mayer took on the alpha role for Illinois. He finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, five blocks, and 47 DK with a 28% usage rate. Mayer was already a good DFS option with Shannon healthy, but his teammate’s absence locks him into a larger shot volume and bigger overall role. On DK, he should be a chalky cash play on this small slate in a favorable home matchup vs Minnesota. | ||||||
| Dereck Lively II | DUKE | UL | 6600 | 17.44 | 5500 | 16.84 |
| Kyle Filipowski should also be considered for Duke, but Lively’s price tags are tough to ignore on both sites tonight. Though he’s still not heavily involved offensively, the freshman big man has the upside for 30+ DK right now with his rebounding and shot-blocking. He’s put up at least 27 DK in five of the last seven games while averaging 3.5 blocks per game over this stretch. Lively should have plenty of success against Louisville at home tonight and he offers a ton of GPP value at his affordable tags (especially on FD). | ||||||
Also Consider:
- Kyle Filipowski – Duke (Cash/GPP)
- Dain Dainja – Illinois (GPP)
- Emmanuel Miller – TCU (GPP)
CBB DFS Value Forwards
| Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
| Dariq Whitehead | DUKE | UL | 5200 | 15.41 | 3900 | 13.74 |
| While Whitehead isn’t always performing like the NBA lottery pick that he is, the potential for 20-25 DK is always there with his talent. We saw it on Saturday when the freshman went for 14 points and 25 DK. He’s shown the upside at multiple points during conference play and looks healthy now after recently missing time with a leg injury. His price tags on both sites are too cheap, especially on FD, for his upside in a favorable home matchup vs lowly Louisville. | ||||||
| Ty Rodgers | IL | MINN | 4500 | 10.24 | ||
| Rodgers has been a good value for Illinois for the past month, but he’d be locked into more playing time and a bigger role if Shannon is out again tonight. Rodgers logged 27 minutes with 16 DK on Saturday with Shannon sidelined. The freshman is now averaging a decent 19 DK over the past five games, which still makes him a value at this sub-5k price tag. | ||||||
| Eddie Lampkin Jr. | TCU | KU | 4200 | 17.44 | 4500 | 16.33 |
| Lampkin hasn’t played much lately with an injury and his minutes/production have been limited when he has been out there. Still, this is too cheap for a guy that can easily go for 20+ DK and smash value. This is easily a season-low price tag for Lampkin, who was a solid DFS play before he got hurt. Don’t be surprised if he provides 5x value or more tonight. | ||||||
Also Consider:
- KJ Adams – Kansas (GPP)
- Emmitt Matthews – West Virginia (Cash)
- Mark Mitchell – Duke (GPP)
- Chuck O'Bannon – TCU (GPP)
