College Basketball CBB DFS Top Plays November 15

CBB DFS Top Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Kendric DavisMEMSTL880031.75
Davis is always a solid play for cash or GPP lineups as one of the best guards in the country. The SMU transfer is now running the Memphis offense and will have heavy usage and shot volume every game as a playmaking point guard. Expect him to be plenty involved tonight in a tight matchup against Saint Louis that may end up being higher-scoring. Davis put up 16 points, six assists, and 31 DK in one game thus far.
Yuri CollinsSTLMEM830033.25
This is a great point guard matchup between Kendric Davis and Yuri Collins with both being very good cash options. As for Collins, he’s back as a high-usage point guard for Saint Louis and his DFS floor is pretty safe with the assists. He’s racked up 14 and 13 assists in the first two games, respectively, and had 33 DK in both. This is nothing new for Collins, who led the country in assists per game last season. You can feel safe rostering Collins in cash.
Sahvir WheelerUKMSU820042
Wheeler returned to the Kentucky lineup last game and filled up the stat sheet with 11 points, 11 assists, six rebounds, and 42 DK. Yes, it was against Duquesne, but it’s encouraging to see Wheeler being so productive in his first game back from a preseason knee injury. We should see him back as UK’s starting point guard tonight in the marquee matchup against Michigan State. We can reasonably expect 30 DK or so tonight, especially if Oscar Tshiebwe remains out or is limited offensively.
Primo SpearsGUNW770036.12
Spears has emerged as a great cash guard this season in his high-usage and active scoring point guard role for Georgetown. The Duquesne transfer has scored 28 and 21 points with 41 and 30 DK in the first two games, respectively. He has a 27% usage rate and 26% shot share as the Hoyas’ offense relies on the scoring and playmaking of Spears and Brandon Murray. The latter is a solid play too but better suited for GPPs on this slate.
Boo BuieNWGU690033.12
Buie is back for a fourth season as Northwestern’s point guard running the attack. He’s already averaging 14.5 points, 6.5 assists, and 6.5 rebounds per game with 33 DK in both contests so far. The heavy usage and offensive involvement will keep his DFS floor high and there’s upside for more in this pace-boost matchup against Georgetown. You can roster in both cash and GPP and feel good about it tonight.

Also Consider:

  • Brandon Murray – Georgetown ($8600 DK) – GPP
  • Jeremy Roach – Duke ($8100 DK) – Cash
  • Jaelen House – New Mexico ($7900 DK) – GPP
  • Cason Wallace – Kentucky ($7400 DK) – GPP

CBB DFS Value Guards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Gradey DickKUDUKE570029.5
Until he’s priced higher, we should consider Dick being a value in the 5k price range. The freshman is already a top scoring option for Kansas as he’s stepping right into the vacated shot attempts and playmaking wing roles of Ochai Agbaji and Christian Braun. He has 32 and 26 DK in the first two games and though things get a bit tougher against Duke here, Dick’s proven role in the offense is still there as he’s taken double-digit shot attempts in both outings.
Ty BerryNWGU530033.75
Berry has started the season hot with 31 and 35 DK performances, including a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards last time out. It looks like he could be taking on a bigger overall role for Northwestern with Pete Nance and Ryan Young gone, especially as a rebounder. Tonight he’ll benefit from a pace-boost game environment against Georgetown and he can easily smash value based on his early-season performances. Limit to GPPs, though, until we see a proven role in a non-blowout scenario.
Dajuan Harris Jr.KUDUKE530026.88
Harris, like Gradey Dick, continues to be a strong value for Kansas as long as he’s priced below 6k. The veteran point guard has 30 and 23 DK in the first two games and does just enough in every stat category while running the KU offense to be valuable in cash. The price tag is really cheap here for a guy that can give you 5x return or better – even in a step up in competition with Duke. He could actually strive in a higher-scoring matchup.
CJ FredrickUKMSU490026.88
Fredrick continues to be too cheap, but at least he’s not sub-4k like in the season opener. Still, he’s put up 31 and 22 DK in the two games so far and looks to be one of Kentucky’s top scorers this season. He scored 20 and 14 points in the first two outings and will continue scoring at a higher clip if Oscar Tshiebwe is limited tonight, though his presence could limit the offensive upside. Still, Fredrick should not be priced under 5k at this point.
Zhuric PhelpsSMUUNM480031.62
SMU lost a ton from last year’s squad and it’s led to Phelps taking on a much bigger role this year. The sophomore combo guard scored 28 points with 41 DK in the season opener and then put up 21 DK in the second game despite shooting just 4-for-16 from the field because of his ancillary stats. Early on, Phelps has 30% usage and shot rates for SMU as he’s running the attack from the point. This is a really good price in a high-total matchup and he should be popular in cash.
Braden SmithPURMARQ380019.88
Smith was an excellent value last week for us when he put up 31 DK at min price. Even though he took a step back in the second game, we’re still going back to him as long as he’s priced this low. Though he’s not scoring double-digits, the freshman can fill up the stat sheet in multiple ways while playing a combo guard role for Purdue. Smith will also benefit from the pace-boost game environment against Marquette tonight and should return 5x value or more.

Also Consider:

  • Tyler Kolek – Marquette ($6000 DK) – Cash/GPP
  • Tyson Walker – Michigan State ($5500 DK) – Cash
  • Lamont Butler – San Diego State ($5200 DK) – Cash
  • Kam Jones – Marquette ($4500 DK) – GPP

CBB DFS Top Forwards

Jalen WilsonKUDUKE1010040.75
Wilson is still a tad pricier than we’d like, but we know what we’re getting with the Kansas wing. He’s going to lead the Jayhawks in scoring most games and offer plenty of ancillary stats, especially rebounding, to offer a high DFS floor. Wilson has put up 45 and 36 DK in the first two games and we can expect 30-40 DFS points or more every game because of his heavy involvement on both ends. This is a tougher matchup against Duke, but Wilson can still get it done in all formats. Expect him to be less popular tonight and better suited for GPPs.
Zach EdeyPURMARQ930048.5
Edey has not disappointed early in the season and it looks like he’s fully ready to take on a bigger role with Jaden Ivey and Trevion Williams gone. Edey has put up 51 and 45 DK in the first two games with some monster stat lines in both. Yes, they came against easy opponents, but Edey will have the ceiling to put up 30+ points, 10+ rebounds, multiple blocks, and 50 DK in any given game with how dominant he can be in the paint. Marquette does present a slightly tougher matchup, but Edey should still be perfectly in cash.
DeAndre WilliamsMEMSTL730033.75
After so much roster turnover at Memphis, it looks like the offense will revolve around Kendric Davis and DeAndre Williams. We touched on Davis above, but Williams is notably cheaper at just over 7k and is actually a bargain for his DFS ceiling. He had 17 points with plenty of ancillary stats for 33 DK in the season opener against Vanderbilt and should be plenty involved once again tonight in another close matchup. Williams may end up being popular because of his price differential compared to other top forwards and guards on the slate.
Dereck Lively IIDUKEKU700011.5
After missing the season opener, Lively returned from a calf injury last week and logged 15 minutes off the bench. It remains to be seen how many minutes he plays tonight, but expectations should be higher if gets the start against Kansas on the national stage. Lively is among the top freshmen in the country and should be a top player in college basketball at full health. This price is too cheap for someone with his talent that can go off for 40 DK or more at his best. The GPP upside is definitely there but there's risk in cash until we know how much he's going to play.
Jacob ToppinUKMSU670032.62
People may ignore Toppin and other Kentucky players tonight because Oscar Tshiebwe is expected to return. Still, Tshiebwe will reportedly only play limited minutes and could be on the bench more often than we think. Toppin, meanwhile, has emerged as a potential breakout player in college basketball and he’s taken advantage of Tshiebwe’s early-season absence. He had a double-double and 37 DK in the season opener and then stuffed the stat sheet for 27 DK in a blowout win over Duquesne. There’s a ton of GPP upside here at potentially lower rostership with Toppin being one of Kentucky’s best players early on.

Also Consider:

  • Kyle Filipowski – Duke ($8000 DK) – GPP
  • Nathan Mensah – San Diego State ($6900 DK) – GPP

CBB DFS Value Forwards

PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Javonte PerkinsSTLMEM600020.25
After missing all of last season with injury, Perkins is back and taking a ton of shots early for Saint Louis. It’s clear that the squad wants to get Perkins re-acclimated and comfortable in the offense early on before conference play begins. He’s taken 14 and 10 shots in the first two games, respectively, with a team-high 25% shot share thus far. At 6k, this is too cheap for a guy that can easily go off for 30-40 DFS points in any game – especially if he’s hitting from three-point range. Perkins’ rebounding and ancillary stats production should improve as well to offer a better floor moving forward.
Samuell WilliamsonSMUUNM560030.75
Williamson is now a starter for SMU after falling in-and-out of favor at Louisville the previous three seasons. On his new squad, the former top high school recruit is filling up the stat sheet while logging heavy minutes. He had a double-double and 33 DK in the season opener and then put up 14 points, nine boards, and 28 DK in the second game against Dayton. Based on this two-game sample size, it appears Williamson will be playing a key role at the power forward spot and his DFS cash floor is pretty good at this cheap price.
Olivier-Maxence ProsperMARQPUR480027.62
Prosper is taking on a bigger role and more playing time for MArquette this season with Justin Lewis gone from the wing/power forward spot. That’s led to Prosper scoring 13 points in 30 minutes in both games so far with 24 and 31 DK in the contests. Even though he’ll be asked to contend with Zach Edey at times tonight, Prosper can do enough on both ends to return value at sub-5k.
Jamille ReynoldsTEMPVAND440021
The center leads Temple in usage rate and shots share when on the floor this season, but foul trouble has limited his playing time early on. Still, it’s notable to see Reynolds have a 38% usage rate and 42% shot rate through two games. He went off for 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 31 DK in the upset win over Villanova last week and that GPP upside can smash value at sub-5k.
Jaedon LeDeeSDSUSTAN430027.5
The TCU transfer is coming off the bench for San Diego State, but he actually leads the team in usage rate and shots share (37% for both). Those are some huge numbers for a bench player and it looks like the Aztecs will deploy LeDee as a super-sub of sorts down low to compliment Nathan Mensah. With this role, LeDee has 22 and 33 DK in the two games thus far and he went 8-for-16 with 23 points across 28 minutes in the recent win over BYU. We could see a similar stat line tonight against Stanford, which would make him a smash value.

Also Consider:

  • Malik Hall – Michigan State ($5700 DK) – Cash
  • Robbie Beran – Northwestern ($5400 DK) – GPP
  • Oso Ighodaro – Marquette ($4700 DK) – GPP
  • Mady Sissoko – Michigan State ($4000 DK) – GPP
  • Malcolm Dandridge – Memphis ($3700 DK) – Cash
