CBB DFS TOP GUARDS

Jalen Moore- Oakland vs Oklahoma State ($7.2K DK)

After missing the opener this season with a right-ankle sprain, Moore returned for Friday’s 87-82 loss to Bowling Green, scoring 18. Moore may not be 100% but he averaged 7.6 assists per game while also scoring 15.5 points per contest last year and is the team leader. Moore can put huge fantasy point numbers but with the ankle he is mor of a top GPP.

Frankie Collins- Arizona State @ Texas Southern (7.4K DK)

ASU HC Bobby Hurley calls Collins the best pure point guard that he’s ever coached and that is coming from a pretty good floor general himself. Collins came to ASU from Michigan, where he averaged 2.8 points and 1.4 assists in 11.0 minutes per game last year, but this is a different season and a different program. He’s been handed the keys to the car and has made an immediate impact. In the opener he scored 21 points with four assists and three steals (38 DKFP) and dished out eight helpers in the last game. Collins is viable in all formats today.

Dane Goodwin – Notre Dame @ Youngstown State ($6.7K DK)

Notre Dame has one of the most experienced rosters in the nation. Goodwin, a wing scorer, enters his fifth season in South Bend and last year was a Third Team All-ACC selection. Every season he has increased his scoring average and last year he averaged 13.6 points per game last season on a 50% FG% and 46% 3-PT%. This is a light-out shooter that can also get to the basket, and we can expect a much better scoring game than the eight point (15 DKFP) that he put up in the opener.

Also Consider:

Avery Anderson III- Oklahoma State ($8.3K DK) GPP

Cormac Ryan- Notre Dame ($7.6K DK) Cash/GPP

J’Vonne Hadley- Colorado ($7.7K DK) GPP

Dwayne Cohill- Youngstown State ($6.9K DK) Cash/GPP

CBB DFS Value Guards

Trey Wertz- Notre Dame vs. Youngstown State ($5.2K DK)

Wertz had to enter the starting lineup to replace injured Marcus Hammond in the opener and he delivered with his second highest scoring game in an Irish uniform with 18 points. The highlight was when he connected on three treys in a row in the middle of the second half and this is an experienced player that know the Irish offense well. Nice price for Wertz that should see 30+ minutes again today.

KJ Simpson- Colorado @ Tennessee ($5.7K DK)

KJ Simpson was one of my favorite freshman last season and now he gets to run the show with Jabari Walker and Evan Battey having moved on to the NBA and overseas. Simpson is following Walker’s trajectory from sixth man to key starter as a sophomore and has DKFP’s of 25 and 30 after his first two games. He is averaging 15 points to go along with 3.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists and is only going to get better.

Rocket Watts- Oakland vs. Oklahoma State ($3.5K DK)

Watts is the DK misprice of the slate. The guard that has played at Michigan State and Mississippi State has played with some of the best players in the nation and now he will be rebooting his career in what is a very talented backcourt that he is sharing with Jalen Moore. With a 14.0-point and three assist average Watts will be heavily owned as a cash value and is a core lock.

Also Consider:

Devan Cambridge- Arizona State ($5.6K DK)

JJ Starling – Notre Dame ($3.8K DK) Cash/GPP

Zytarious Mortle- Texas Southern ($3.6K DK) GPP

Jordan Gilliam- Texas Southern ($4.2K DK)

TOP FORWARDS

Nate Laszewski- Notre Dame vs. Youngstown State ($8.5K DK)

The Big man is back and with Paul Atkinson gone Laszewski must step up and become the go-to post scorer. He averaged 9.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 45.6% from long range last season and we should see a big uptick in his points and rebound numbers as long as he stays out of foul trouble. We may not see another 50 DKFP game like he put out in the opener against Radford (28 points and 12 rebounds) but expect another huge performance today against Youngstown State.

John Walker III – Texas Southern vs. Arizona State ($7.5K DK)

Walker did not have a great game against TTU, finishing with only seven points on 2-for-10 shooting and he committed four turnovers in his 33 minutes on the court. He still put up 25 DKFP due to 12 rebounds and as one of the top scorers on the team that plays 30+ minutes Walker is always going to be in play at this price.

Tristan da Silva – Colorado @ Tennessee ($6.0K DK)

With Jabari Walker off the NBA, da Silva has a chance to make a big jump this year. Last season averaged 9.4 PPG with 3.5 rebounds and a 48%  field goal rate in 28.5 minutes per contest, but this year he should see a giant uptick in usage with the departures of both Walker and Evan Battey. In the opener against UC Riverside, da Silva played 30 minutes, scoring 12 points with five rebounds on 4-of-8 from the field with a pair of threes and in the next game only had four points but did pull down six boards. This is a strong price point for da Silva today.

Also Consider:

Moussa Cisse- Oklahoma State ($8.0K DK)

Joirdon Karl Nichoas- Texas Southern ($6.3K DK)

Trey Townsend- Oakland ($6.6K DK)

Kalib Boone- Oklahoma State ($6.1K DK)

CBB DFS VALUE FORWARDS

Keaton Hervey – Oakland vs. Oklahoma State ($3.9K DK)

Hervey is another transfer to Oakland as he comes via Missouri State. He is actually much more experienced than Watts and although he hasn’t played in a conference like the Big Ten he has tons of college basketball experience under his belt. This is the fourth school that the 6-foot-4 forward has played at. Prior to Oakland, Hervey made stops at Incarnate Word, New Mexico State Junior College and Missouri State. This is also his final season, but Hervey has jumped right in and is playing nearly 30 minutes with a 14 point average to go along with 8.5 rebounds per game and 30+ DKFP.

Also Consider:

Davon Barnes – Texas Southern ($4.0K DK)

Malek Green- Youngstown State ($5.0K DK)

Grayson Carter- Texas Southern ($3.2K DK)

Adrian Nelson – Youngstown State ($5.4K DK)

Warren Washington- Arizona State ($5.1K DK)
